A ordinary boy named Ho Pantrelli Wong discovered extraordinary abilities when he was bitten by a genetically modified super spider. This resulted him having the abilities of a spider which includes: wall crawling, agility, strength, and speed. Ho Pantrelli's mind was gifted when he was young and his intelligence has increased ever since.

Elle Bishop
Later in life, Ho Pantrelli would go to Oxford University and there, he meets a attractive and funny girl named Elle Bishop, Ho Pantrelli thought she was perfect and he finally asked her out on a date and remarkably and to his surprise, she liked him too and she accepted. They would both date but Ho Pantrelli kept his abilities a secret fearing that Elle would take him as a freak but Elle had a little secret of her own as well...

Whilst attending Oxford University, Ho Pantrelli studied being a doctor, he wanted to be a doctor because he always wanted to help people and Elle also shares the same dreams as him... together, they both achieved great things and they both became doctors saving people's lives. Ho Pantrelli then realized that saving lives one at a time was not enough for him and later, he used his spider-abilities to try and help people in need. Ho Pantrelli designed a costume to hide his identity just to make sure because if his identity is known to his enemies, the ones he loves would be in great danger.

Spider-Pantrelli
Ho Pantrelli used his scientific mind and built himself a web-shooter and from then on, a new legend was born, every night after work and after a date with the always lovely Elle, Spider-Pantrelli would swing around the city helping those in need from saving cats from trees to saving people from fires. From the start of his career, he has encountered many villains and have also encountered many allies but no one knew who he was. Spider-Pantrelli was feared by many vilains but Spider-Pantrelli had a fear of his own, he fears that if someone finds out about his abilities, someone could easily kidnap him and test him. After thinking a long long time, Ho Pantrelli decided to sacrifice his love for Elle in order to keep her safe, he feared that if something happened to her, he would never be able to forgive himself. Elle didn't take the break up easily and she ran away, she left everything behind her, her job, her house, everything...

The return
A year later, Spider-Pantrelli was swinging and minding his own business when he saw a bank robbery but to his surprise, he wasn't needed, instead, the robbers were already captured and the Spider-Pantrelli got really confused, he didn't know who done it, he examined the crime scene and found marks on the building, burn marks. Spider-Pantrelli then spoke to some eye witnesses and they told him that a blonde girl that could shoot electricity caught them. That night, Spider-Pantrelli couldn't sleep and kept on wandering who this mysterious blonde girl was. The next morning, the door bell of Ho Pantrelli's apartment rang.

He opened the door and found Elle standing there. Ho Pantrelli was surprised, very surprised, he was speechless, he didn't know what to say and Elle said to him "Face it tiger, you just hit the jackpot!" He had no idea what she meant by that and Elle opened up her hand slowly and slowly, a blue light started to appear from the palm of her hand, it looked like some sort of electricity orb. Ho Pantrelli was shocked, he still didn't say anything, his mouth was wide opened.

It takes something really special to stick in my mind. I still remember the time when I moved to England from Hong Kong when I was 7 years old and I just remember that vaguely but the earliest memory I had was something that happened when I was 3 years old. The year was 1998, I was just three years old. I would wake up every morning at about 7 o'clock in the morning and annoy my mother until she swtiches on the TV for me. The animated series of Spider-Man would broadcast in Hong Kong every Saturday morning and I would always be there. I think for me. Spider-Man was my first ever obsession but as I grew up, I was interested in a number of things, Power Rangers, Digimon, and Pokemon but none of them could compare to my love for Spider-Man.

I love his comic books, and I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one. What makes him so great is that against the odds, he still manages to pull off an almost unlikable character. If I have never seen Spider-Man, I would have never wanted to read his stuff because I hate spiders. Without him, half of the Marvel Universe would be gone. If it was not for his characters, Marvel would have never had so much success or so many other great characters or storylines that spawned off the orginal characters. Without Spider-Man would there be Venom? Without the Fantastic Four, would there be Secret Invasion? Without him, I guess I wouldn't be here writing about him. Just imagine, if Stan Lee was not here, some other comic book writers could have invented some super lame characters: Eyebrows-Man? The Superior Shoe? We will never know (and personally, I don't want to know.) If it was not for his charisma in the 60s, comics would not be the same as it is today. Stan Lee shaped and sculped Marvel. He did everything from writing all the main Marvel series to moderating the letters page, to me, Stan Lee is a living legend.

Not only do I thank him for getting me into comic books but I he also changed my life personally as well. I think one of the reasons I want to become a doctor is to help people, to save lives and use my knowledge to help people. His comic books taught me a number of things like never giving up. It might sound silly to other people but I live my life by my comic books. I use his character's way of thinking in life. People often ask me if I believe that Spider-Man actually exists and I tell them "Yes" they laugh at me but he does exist. Maybe not in real life but he exists in my mind. He is my motivation behind the things I do and the choices I make. Whenever I see someone that needs help, I try to help them as much as I can. I live my life by this rule: With great power, comes great responsibility... I know I don't have the proportionate speed and strength of a spider or three adamantium blades coming out from my hands but I still have the choice to help. Without him, I wouldn't have great friends who I talk about comics with and most importantly, there wouldn't be the life that I'm living today and to me, it is perfect!

It's been confirmed, the title for the musical is Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark and the song will be written and performed by U2 members Bono and the Edge. It's going to premiere in February next year and I can't wait, hopefully, it's gonna be on DVD or on the internet because I both love Spider-Man and U2.

"Spider-Man's battles will hurtle the audience through an original story both recognizable and unexpected -- yielding new characters as well as familiar faces -- until a final surprising confrontation casts a startling new light on this hero's journey,"       -- Musical's producer
I can't wait for this!!!

This is the story:
I'm now in Year 9 in the UK and in Year 10 and 11, I have two different english exams called GCSEs, the one in Year 10 requires me to do a presentation about a subject of my choice. I'm now only in Year 9 but my english teacher has told us to practice our speaking skills in year 9 so that we'll be ready in Year 10. We have to choose a subject of our choice but I still haven't decided what subject I'll choose. I know I'll do something about comics because I know a lot of things about that but I need to be more specific about my subject, it can't be too long or too short. I was thinking about doing the Spider-Man storyline "New Ways To Die" but then I found out that I lost the part 6 somewhere, now I don't know what to do, I also want to do Civil War and Secret Invasion but I think it might be too long... I think it has to be 5 minutes under... I'm thinking about doing the presentation about Venom but I have calculated the time it would to take to explain the Origin of Venom, Eddie Brock, Mac Gargan, and the new Anti-Venom, it would roughly take about 7 mintues. I seriously need help because the last time I done this last year, I screwed up... badly... Please just give me any ideas about what my presentation should be about... Any help would be great! :D

This issue of Marvels contains strong and realistic art by Alex Ross but the story ruined the art.The story can be only understood if you read it multiple times and read every single Marvel comic ever published. The story about the Human Torch and Namor was poor because one minute, they were war partners and another minute, they hate each other to bits. What was that all about??? The whole five part series features on the same photographer, it would be really nice to change the main character!!! I think Alex Ross has done a very good job with the art, I mean...the art is the only dam good thing about this issue!!!
