Now Gladiator has been made Emperor of the Shi'ar it made me think what would happen if members of the Imperial Guard decided to rebel against his rule. The battle takes place on an abandoned planet. The new Emperor vs 6 members of the Shi'ar Guard, who wins?

Thor would put on a brave fight but ultimately would get badly beaten. It would certainly make for one hell of a fight scene

This would be a great fight to see, but eventually Gladiator would win. He has power of flight of super sonic speeds, his heat beams have killed Nova Centurians and burnt through the Hulk's skin (which nearly killed him), and is definately as strong as Hercules. Hercules is one hell of a tough guy but Gladiator managed to kick Thor's hammer into orbit then knock him unconscious with one punch, ...

Regardless of what enhancements you make to Colossus, Gladiator would still defeat him. I still have a comic where Gladiator snaps one of Wolverine's adamantium claws off, so clearly he has the strength to break this type of metal.

Hercules would win this with ease

Would be a great fight, but Gladiator wins in the end. Remember, Gladiator has smashed an entire planet to pieces with his bare hands, defeated the Fantastic Four, gouged out Vulcan's eye, not to mention the speed he moved at to fight his way through the Guardians of the Galaxy.

Very tough call. Fighting as a team and to their strengths the X-Men would definately cause some serious damage (remember what Wolverine did to the Thing's face?!!!) but it would end with the Fantastic Four taking it!!!

As much as I rate Thor, Hercules and Hulk together would over power him

Guys, you forget that Gladiator has already fought Hyperion and ended up breaking his neck!!!!!  However, Beta Ray Bill is a major powerhouse so it would come down to Gladiator and Bill, which would be pretty damn cool. As their power levels are so close, plus the fact that they have fought side by side against Tyrant, I believe that they would keep fighting for days until they decide to call ...

@nyx: Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Gladiator kill the Chancellor?!! The chances of Deathbird coming out of her coma to claim the throne are severley remote, although it would be great to see Gladiator tell her that she is not worthy and give her a slap for all those years of being a pain in the backside!!!!

Yeah, I think so too. Once again Marvel manage to take a great mini-series and still make some great co#* ups!!! Or perhaps this character is simply a lot more powerful than we realise or the Shi'ar were able to help him, god only knows!!!!

Up to recently my favourite fight scene was where Gladiator defeated the Fantastic Four way back in FF #249, but with the arrival of the many new great comics this year I'm now not so sure!!!!! I do really like the Guardians of the Galaxy episode where Gladiator rushes towards Lilandra knocking every one flying, brilliant.  So, what's your favourite fight scene guys?

Too right!!!! But this also raises a question which I posted on another forum, who will Kallark delegate as the new Praetor?!!!!! Logically, Xenith is the most powerful, but I suspect that it will go to some one like Mentor!! I can't wait to see how things work out.

Gladiator was close to killing the Hulk twice during their confrontation!!!! First, by grabbing him and flying into space where he can't breath, and the second, was where Gladiator used his heat ray to burn through his chest to his vital organs and Hulk screamed like a good un!!!!!

I would like Gambit to die at the hands of Gladiator. Gambit defeated Gladiator (who was under mind control by War Skrull), and I think the big guy deserves some righteous revenge, not to mention an explanation of how Gambit managed to defeat him in the first place!!!!!!!! Something like his confidence was effected as he was fighting against the mind control and didn't want to hurt Gambit would be good!!! ...

Logically, going by their previous battles with powerful foes I believe The Surfer would win. An example of this would be when they fought side by side against Tyrant, who later stated that The Surfer was the most powerful of those he had captured (which also included Terrax, Morg and Beta Ray Bill). He's always been a great guardsman, powerful and loyal, now it would appear that he is going to be the new Emperor, BRILLIANT.  Do you think this is a temporary thing or is Kallark destined to be the new ruler?!!!
