At birth an electromagnetic wave-consuming sphere was installed into Jack Hazel's cerobelum that could manipulate electricity (while eating it as well). So the more electricity the stronger he is, but sadly vice-versa is true,too(being to far away from electricity for too long will eventually kill him). He is still learning how to use his powers to their full extent. He is, however, a master in the ways of the blade. So far, Sphere has had to live by his alias and steal food to survive. He lives any where he can, and can barely survive with what he's got. Slowly, the the electronic waves inside of him that are consumed by his sphere are turning him insane.
Sphere looked at life in a far grander retrospective than many people do. He has recently attempted a job as a bounty hunter, but the places that the job leads him are to dangerous in more ways than one. To much electronic shock can make him overload (to the point where every thing surrounding him can spontaneously explode because of the friction and static extremities). He tries to help fight crime, but at the same time, he ends up fighting many heroes due to his stealing nature. The scientists who injected him with their "electrobe" have sent out many bounty hunters to kill him.

We don't screw around in NYC

Sphere has wandered around New York since he was a child, searching for a purpose. He hates to think of himself as just an experiment, but the electrobe "tells" him otherwise. Sphere's insanity has reached to the point that he believes that the electrobe actually speaks with him. In a sense, this ball is his darker, melancholy side.Even Jack doesn't know what would happen if he were to give into insanity. He has tried to find something he is good at, but instead only ends up in embarassment and failure almost every time. He decided that he should use a sword (as opposed to a more practical weapon) because he liked being different, and to use over-the-top methods to confuse his enemies. He can't stand wearing tights, though(so he doesn't). He has a love interest, though his self-confidence won't allow him to tell her how he feels. Despite being rather handsome, he has always thought that girls would hate him because he wasn't a stereotypical teenager, and can barely ever have intelligent conversations, and has a very confusing sense of humor. The girl is a nineteen year-old waitress at an Olive Garden. In all honesty, Sphere can't stand the crowd at restauraunts like that and only goes just so he can be with the girl of his dreams, Anna Summers. She is a very quiet,shy and depressed person, but Sphere can't help but see the brighter side of her. He had always hated the outgoing girls that always aspired to become cosmeticians or models all of their life. He always saw them as the prostitutes of a new generation. Sphere walked down the streets everyday, flipping a penny he'd find on the sidewalk. Watching the flat circle spin calmed him down, and it helped him think, strangely enough. As he continued down his way in his ragged cloth and concealed sword, people stared at him like he might be insane. Rightfully so, since all he did was constantly mutter to himself what he should do next. His continuous arguements with himself went on for sometimes hours at a time, and the only person he knew that would listen to him was Anna, or the strange teen that had told Jack about the lonely girl, who only identified himself as "Assimilation". Strange as he was, they were both in the same boat, as neither wanted anything to do with their families. He considered him his best friend, albeit him being the only one. When they had first met, however, the two men did not see eye to eye as they do now. They got into a huge skirmish over simply eachother's views on right and wrong. Sphere lost the fight, but only by a margin. He simply said that he was to tired to be fighting, ands that it was to dark to try that anyway. Later that night he would head on to the Olive Garden that Anna worked in, and "try his luck" as he said. Apparently, he was very lucky. Jack was up very early the morning the day after spending most of his day at Anna's Olive Garden. He decided to take his walk over the Manhattan bridge before usual. He had actually had the guts to speak with her the day before, and to his surprise,Anna didn't shun him like he'd assumed she would. He was very excited and knew that she was expecting him to be there as soon as it opened. "So what if it didn't open up until four in the afternoon?" he'd thought to himself, though Jack did feel a little dumb after he got there. It was only ten 'o' clock and he'd been up since five, so he decided to go into the alleyway and sleep.

The Transition of Light and Dark

===============================================================================================================
  He woke up to the screaming of a very familiar voice. Anna's. A man was holding up a group of people up on the fire escape above them... and, of all people, Anna had to be one of them. In anxiety Jack climbed up, trying to find a non-lethal source of electricity, before his world turned upside down. Anna was shot, and Sphere was so dazed that she had been hurt, that he tried to attack the man, who threw Jack right through the window. He hit the ground. HARD. He felt dazed...like...he was dead.Like, he had just lost everything...he stared at the people looking down at him, laying there. But...on face stood out from the crowd of eight. he said nothing...just looked at him. Looked him straight in the eyes...and he felt...weird. He had never felt this way before...and he never would again. He thought...though it was a guess based on nothing...that he had lost something that day. Like, a part of himself was gone. The albino stared at him with beautiful eyes...he was German, by the looks of it.

Weirdo German kid....

He looked onward, and came back into what he thought was reality. Sphere felt a scar across his face, and then he let loose. The telephone wire snapped, and sliced the man straight in half, as the people being mugged looked on-ward in awe. "Get away from me..." said Sphere in an unnerving voice. "You monster!" said the woman, "I don't like you.." said the little girl, "GET OUT", bellowed the man."And this to the person who saved you?", said Sphere in a raspy voice that was not Jack Hazel's. "I'm taking her to he hospital, and if any of you want to stop me, then do it now. I love her, and you let her get taken from me. I'm not going to help you any more. Just leave me alone, for your own sake." The words that they said to him after killing that man still rang sharp in his ears. After he got Anna to the hospital, he did what he'd wanted to for a long time. Jack Hazel let go of his sanity.The electrobe inside of him was now able to use its true power. I have lost all meaning in life. I am not Sphere, nor am I Jack Hazel... I take my identity as Resonate. A change of clothes, a change of life-style, Resonate was no longer going to be neutral, because, unlike Sphere, he was very, very one sided on everything. To pledge his eternal hatred towards the people of New York City, Resonate began to set fire to multiple stores and began to elaborate a strategy on what he could do. After robbing several banks he gained a rather fair amount of money to buy one of those motorcyclist jackets he'd always wanted, and the new clothes were a nice change from the shreds of cloth and the blanket he used to wear during the winter. "I need a plan, and I need help to initiate it" he thought to himself,"I may be powerful, but I'm not invincible. A good start would be to prove myself to the Vine Villains. I need to find Mighty Magneto". And so Resonate's next goal began. Resonate continued down the street he was on, thinking about where he could find info. on Mighty Magneto, when all of the sudden a man came hurdling towards him at a blinding speed. With his new-found reflexes he leaped out of the way from the figure he could now identify as Iron-Man. Resonate drew his sword with flashing speed and began to charge Stark. Tony moved out of the way and prepared to gun down Jack, but Resonate wouldn't let that happen. By reversing the electricity flow to snap a nearby telephone wire near Iron-Man distracted him long enough for Resonate to land a hefty blow with his blade right into Stark's torso. Resonate didn't know what he hit, but whatever it was, it was enough to force Iron-Man to flee. Resonate was ruthless and began his pursuit on foot. He knew what Stark was after him for. He had made himself known to the public, and more than likely one of the apartment witnesses had turned him in for some form of reward. As far as he knew, the people at the hotel had no connection to Anna, so that wouldn't be it. "After I'm done with Stark, I think I'll deal with some rats. I don't like ungrateful little-" he was cut off mid-sentence. From out of nowhere, Tony had flown down and grabbed Resonate by the neck and hoisted him to the top of a rather high building. Round two began. "You really must know nothing about my power, huh?" asked Resonate in an amused , raspy voice. "I know you aren't registered, and I think that's enough.",replied Iron-Man. "Hyah!" shouted Tony, charging at Resonate once more. "Idiot." said Resonate. And, with a snap of his fingers( which was really unneccesary), a loud shocking noise came from Stark's suit, as he fell to the ground. Resonate stood there with a look that most would associate with sympathetic in nature, but it was really just his thinking face. "Pitiful..." said Resonate, as he stared up at the glorious orange and purple evening sky. After he had taken care of a few "problems" with his unregistration ( by brutally murdering an entire military squadron) Resonate headed out to an enormous power plant that would suffice for enough power for his newest "plan" (to destroy an entire portion of New York City). There he met an old friend, Assimilation. Sadly, Jack Hazel was not the one in control here. Resonate saw that this was not a time to reminisce, and did not even want anything to do with Assimilation. " What are you doing here?" asked Resonate. " I should ask you the same thing" he replied. Assimilation saw Resonate's grimace as he braced himself to dodge a bolt of lightning, and he did, but was unable to stop the next assault with Resonates blade. He noticed how much he had changed, he was no longer the pale,malnutritioned, skinny person he used to be. His style of fighting was different and he was much more aggressive and fast than he was before. Assimilation was able to just barely time it right by blocking Resonate's sword and transforming his arm into the metal at the same time. The ensuing battle was epic, and Assimilation held his own with one of the most dangerous men in America. Resonate thought that something was wrong with the circumstances of the fight to begin with, but what happened next was even stranger. With a swing of his sword, Assimilation disappeared into some sort of mystic portal, and his adversary was gone, vanished into thin air. Something hit Resonate just then. How were all of these things falling into place? What did all of this mean? Suddenly Jack felt dizzy... dropped to the floor and darkness was all he could find. Throughout the darkness, a voice spoke to him "I'll give you what you want for now..." it said. "What?" the word came out of his mouth automatically. " You'll soon see, my dear brother...." it finished. He would of said something, but the next thing he knew he was awake in a stone room, lying in a bed of majestic demeanor. " Master!" the young girl said, running towards him with deep concern in her eyes. " What's going on?" he said, seeing he was dressed strangely and he didn't know what to do. He felt a new power surging through him, but it seemed as if there was even more to be had. " Are you okay? It's me, Nagina!" she said, grabbing his attention once more. She was a beautiful girl, and his attention had drifted somewhat elsewhere. " We are winning the fight." she said. " Are you feeling better?" That sword must have pierced your heart. I was afraid that you might not be in favor of the Goddess this time and I... I.." she rushed foward to hug Jack. Not knowing what to do, he held her in his arms, enjoying the short moment. " Anyway, we need you back in the catacombs. Grab your sword quickly, Pain. Jack sooned realized that the world he was in was nothing like the one he'd been in moments ago. Whatever kind of strange dream this was, he was apparently a King of Assassins, or something like it. His hair had turned colors,grown shorter, and he felt much more physically able. He felt great, to be honest. "So....Nagina, what's going on?" he asked, trying to sound as casual as possible. He couldn't let her realize he had no idea what was going on. "It's okay, Pain.....it always takes a little joggling of your memory before you realize what's going on. You are the leader of our league of Assassins, also known as Pain. I am your right-hand servant, and we are currently in Zeckoma, the largest continent in the world. You know, you always seem to wake up in a drowsy state....sometimes you even talk about a whole other world out there....it's really kind of funny." Jack felt fear trickling down his spine as he realized that he may not have been in a real world at all...that all of those memories may have been fake. Assimilation, Sparda, Mantid,Starleafgirl, Copy, Gambler, Crimson Orchid,Mighty Magneto, Red L.A.M.P., G-Man, Captain Cascader, Donnieman v5.1..... even his beloved Anna, could have been fake memories. He didn't think it possible, but it could have been....nothing in his world could have set the pieces to the puzzle correctly. Nothing was ever "right" in the huge city of New York.

Dreaming...?

===============================================================================================================

He was having a nervous breakdown when all of the sudden, his head was flooded with tons of new memories. A great battle, him fighting a silver haired man fighting one-on-one, and a great,looming shadow. He remembered losing his focus for seconds, and giving the silver haired man a chance to stab him. And he did....and then it was black. Black, until Nagina woke him. "Pain? Pain? Wake up! Now! Koga's men are here!!!! And then he remembered something else...the silver haired man. Koga. A small voice in his head told him what to do. And these lackies would be dead soon. The first one leapt up, and was quickly knocked down by a staff that seemingly appeared from nowhere. The fallen man in a grey cloak was gasping for breath, it had hit him right in the chest. Jack didn't know what to expect but he'd gotten over the pure insanity and rage he'd been in as a human....and maybe this "new life" was just what he needed. He reached to his waist to find that Raikiri was not with him. Instead, he reached for two daggers. It seemed impractical, but he was able to wield them with surprising finesse. He wondered if the sphere was still in his cerobelum, and if it affected him in this strange "dream" that felt more real than life itself. "Who was that?" he asked the girl. "That was your right hand man, though we only know him as Assimilation. He is very discreet, and won't talk much, but he's just like you and me, really..." she replied. Assimilation was long gone by now, though, and Pain was curious at what she meant by "just like us". "What do you mean, "like us"?" he asked, finally, as they walked out of the strange blue rocked cave that was apparently their base of operations. "I'd tell you, but I supposed that I should just SHOW you...." Nagina said as she pulled out a small amulet from inside her dress. "This'll make things a lot easier on both of us, well, here we go, master....." she finished, as she put up the strange necklace to Jack's head. Suddenly the memories came flushing back into Pains head.... his real name, Isa, what the amulet was, an heirloom that had been binded with magic to seal memories, and why he was fighting this power. He headed into the city without a moment's hesitation, but what he didn't realize was that he had gone into a sprint and left Nagina and Assimilation behind. Apparently he was too fast for both of them in this strange new body. He also had remembered that everyone in the next city would definitely be trying to kill him. But, he didn't care at all. He drew his blade and leapt up to one of the guards. He was to slow, and one of Resonate's blades was through his kneecap in a split second. The other one, however, managed to get one strike down. He had surprising reflexes for someone who looked so asleep. The spear butt hit Jack right in the chin and knocked him on to the ground. The other guard was still writhing in pain, and the aware one was swinging down with the sharp edge of his spear. Jack rolled on his back and regained his balance. The spear missed him by inches, but he was to enraged to be scared. All the memories he had gotten back were etched into his head, and he wasn't "awake" enough to be scared. He charged into the one still standing, and made him lose his balance, and was wide open. Jack viciously swung his sword up diagonally, disfiguring the man's body. He killed the previously injured guard and took the keys. He opened the huge gates, and the raid began. "Hey! Stop the Crow!!" a guard said, as he saw Pain standing at the gates. The Crow. So that was what they were calling him now. He didn't care, though. He was ready to kill them all...with help or not. The first enemy ran at him at full speed. He was taken down easily, but the second one posed an actual threat, because there were many more with him. Jack didn't know if he had his powers here or not, but he didn't feel the Sphere's presence. He realized now that this whole time he'd been able to pull himself together, and he had complete control of himself. He liked it. Then he realized something else. Maybe this whole strange dream had happened because he needed to regain control of his body. And now he had, so...soon he'd be out of this place, right? The guards axe swung down with high velocity. Resonate flew back, and dodged the blade as the rest charged him. He had no strength in this corner, and he was about to be slaughtered by the oncoming spears. He blocked the first one, and figured that if he was going to die that he'd go down fighting. But it would seem that he wouldn't have too, because right then Nagina's dagger flew into the big one's throat, and Assimilation's staff had cracked the skull of the other three. "Please...please..I won't try to hurt you...." the remaining guard said. Jack could sense the treachery in his voice and he knew that this fool would only slow him down. "No...really..." the man pleaded as a javelin flew into his back. His screeching sound as he left this world was quite disturbing to everyone around him except Jack, who's only thoughts were on who had thrown the dagger. "He was of no use anyway, Pain. I'm glad you've shown up, though. Let'd finish like good men, eh?" the silver haired Koga said as he drew his blade from atop the building he was standing on. Hundreds of men appeared behind him on the streets as he said this. Jack was infuriated that he had fallen for this pathetic trap. "Men! COME NOW!!" Nagina called as Jack looked on in dismay. Hundreds of men appeared behind him, and he felt relieved, and also ready to murder someone, preferably the man atop the building in front of him, who's face had shriveled up in dismay. The battle was going to change the fate of this world. Or so Jack had thought. He drew his blades, and then attacked the leader head on. And as he did, the huge, shadowy beast rose up. But he wouldn't be distracted. He nimbly leapt up the building and reached his adversary. Until he was peirced in the back by an arrow. He felt ashamed by his loss, and the next thing he knew, he was awake, in a hospital room, and no one was around. What on Earth had happened to him? He had been knocked out cold for a long time, he knew, but how long? He did notice one thing, though, that he now had complete control over his body. But...he felt an uncontrollable rage inside him. He stood up in the white robe and made his way down stairs. "Hey! Hey! you! You're not supposed to be out here!" said the doctor. Without even moving a muscle he sent the electricity from the many lights above into the man. He was dead instantly. Jack kept walking. He realized that he was no longer the shy, depressed, unlikely hero. He was a fighter, and a murderer. And he could never go back to who he was.

===============================================================================================================

The Awoken Fighter
=============================================================================================================== After much searching, he was able to get enough information to find his old clothes and his trusted blade, Raikiri. He went outside, and it was the dead of night. He was ready to try out a few new tricks too. He looked into the night of New York. It was amazing, seeing the amount of lights in the sky making it feel like it was daytime still. He was ready to go on a rampage to suffice his unknown anger, and he wanted to master his powers. He had grown to mentally strong for the Sphere to take control of him. He was now ready to know true strength. "Lets see....first..I'll try this.." said Resonate as he sent the electricity from a near by power line into his sword. It charged, and changed into a bright blue color: "Good...let's see then...how about this" he said, as he walked over to a nearby street lamp. He raised his sword and quickly sliced, and the blade seared through the metal like a hot knife through butter. He practiced all kinds of new techniques, and evn learned how to warp the speed of lightning, though it took a lot of energy to start up. But once he got enough, he figured he'd be invincible. He learned to make a protective barrier, and got a lot better with his sword. He also learned one other extremely useful trick: how to use the kinetic energy that came with friction for electricity. He was surprised that he hadn't learned how to do this before. Now there were a few other things he needed to solve... like finding Assimilation and settling the score. But for the months he searched, nobody knew of him. He gave up his search for now. Soon after seeing his abilities, Mighty Magneto offered him a place with the world reknowned group, The Vine Villains. Jack accepted, as he knew that this meant he would come one step closer to his goal...which he would reveal to noo one until the time was right. He met some old friends with the VV, like Warlock360, and Dreadnaught. He also made friends with the gunslinging woman Kiara Sullivan, Eternal Chaos' girlfriend. The Doll, a new recruit like him, also helped him find his place with the VV. But before he knew it, he was pulled into the Comic Vine World War. The war didn't last very long, the huge fight was calmed after a few days. The Doll had betrayed them for the Hellfire Group, and Jack and Sparda had fought eachother to a draw. It was easily the best fight Resonate had ever had in his life.

===============================================================================================================

Trial by Fire
=============================================================================================================== Pain in mind and heart, he set out to leaving the VV, as they were long dead with Might Magneto barely finding any time to help the team in any fights. His heart slowly started melting before his eyes, and his scar began to fade..it was time for a change on the Vine. Leaving the Vine Villains and becoming a member of the Zero Squad, he tried to find his home. However, after a battle and an unfinished fight with the VV, in an attempt to annihalate the dead villain team, he realized that being heroic wqas not something he was good at. That, and Midnight Lantern had been following him from team to team, it seemed. He left the group when Renegade Lantern did, with high hopes. Speaking to Gambler, one of thee elite members of the Vine in private, they were able to form a bond and he would then join him in his current collage of neutrals, a team on the run known as the Outlawz. However, after the revival of the Hellfire Club, a group Jack had vowed never to join as he was brutally afraid of fire in any form or fashion, he was left alone. That was, until offered a place on the Masters of Evil team by Darkchild himself. In all actuality, it would seem that the great villain had been watching him all along and that they shared interests....however, the team never came out of the shadows. Feeling that he would never find a true home again, like the VV had been to him, he began to sink into a state of depression and anger. For months he was reclusive, but when asked to join the Angels and Demons by his friend Lady Redhead, a woman like a sister to the troubled teen, he decided upon what his next course of action would be...however...he could not think clearly with all of these sorrowful thoughts of being lost. He could finally understand where his dear friend, Aztek the Lost, had felt about life. It all made sense after the way he'd explained it.

Jack decided on his next course of action....rather than be the hunted, he would be the hunter. He would find out why these men had done this to him, and see if there was anyone left in this world he could truly relate to...or he would give up on himself and truly fall as low as low can be. But first, he would have to learn something...how to fight for real. He'd survived for years just off of street fighting skills, and now, doing this, enemies would be more dangerous than this. He would learn a real form of fighting, and then he would go out and capture the mad men, get what he needed to know, and dispose of them as necessary. He went to the last place he could think of, Osaka Japan, with a warping skill. Upon getting there, he realized all of a sudden that he was starting to get worse and worse with his electricity manipulation. The sphere had been telling him that sooner or later he would start to lose a lot of his power and he was guessing that now would be it. He had stopped talking as much as he used to, and he felt like he had somewhat lost a connection with his powers. More importantly, he felt that his only friend had died. It was around three months ago that he had been frequenting the Nine Lives Coffeeshop, if only to talk to Lexicat and Chris Angel. The two were good friends, and seeing as he had no quarrels with anyone anymore, he was able to walk into public places without starting a fight. It was easier to be a character of neutrality than one that was hated by the public...the Vine Villains. It hurt him to do that...and then, there was another guy that always went there, a hero named Andferne. Andferne and Lexi got together pretty well, and Jack's intuition told him that the two would be together. His sense of direction was gone once he reached Japan, but he was able to find a place that he deemed suspicious. A league of people calling themselves the "Bodysnatchers" seemed quite different. He, for some reason had no trouble speaking Japanese, it was like he'd always known what he was doing, it came as easy as English to him. He was amazed. But, aside from all of these things he came out wondering the most: what would it take for him to be taught by one of these people? He went on and proved himself by killing multiple corporate entities and not being caught in the slightest. After proving his worth for good to the leader of the Bodysnatchers, Saizo, a strange man that people often declared immortal, he was allowed membership, if only to be used in the lower ranks. He was taught by many people in the lower ranks exactly what martial arts were, he didn't know anything about "karate" or anything of the sort. He threw his fists and knees like a mad man and generally won the fight. These people had training, they knew exactly what to do to counteract these movements. He lived in the underground for months, maybe years, it felt like days. It was so fun, away from where anyone would recognize you, killing with no purpose. It made his life feel like he had meaning again. It was about the time that he met Yoshihara, his only real friend in the group, that he was sent on his fifth mission. This one seemed a bit off key though, not very well planned out, they were to actually assassinate a key figure of the japanese congress, someone who's name he couldn't remember, he couldn't keep up with Japanese government officials. With this plan, they would actually end up effectively destroying what little of a military they had, or at least thought they had. His small squadron of six men were running through the dark outer area of the large building. They all penetrated it through the windows seamlessly. Yukihara was a master with the blade, and Jack aspired to be like him in every way. As opposed to the thick sword Jack carried around with him all the time, Yukihara had a smaller blade that swung effortlessly. It made him feel like a lost cause when they sparred together. But they had killed so many people together it wasn't even funny, but at the same time it felt so right. Ridding the world of the filth it proposed as it's residence, it made him feel like he was giving them true justice, what earth itself deserved as a whole. The power of this mind crushing truth at his fingertips...it was what he had desired all these years. Maybe he would finally find out what made humanity tick, maybe he could find out what this irregular emotional resonance was inside his body with other people was, maybe he would...have a family. He got inside the building with his friends help, and then he knew something was wrong. In the mission briefing, he had been told that there would be no guards on this night, as this was an international break for Japan, a time of peace. To him, a time of weakness. But then, if there...wait...should there have been guards? It would make no sense if there weren't any. The mission briefing had been a lie, obviously, as there were already ten men firing at them. He looked on as their bombadier fell to the ground. Jack thrusted as much electrical power at them as he could grab in such a quick reflexive moment, killing all of them. However, the light and noise certainly sent off a few alarms, and there were guards everywhere. Yukihara took two of them, and one more man was lost in the process of killing them. Jack's special power that they needed was being their worst enemy at the moment, and he had a feeling that death was creeping upon him.
"Jack....Jack...this..I knew about this. I knew they were sending us on a suicide mission, I knew they were trying to off us with this one. I had a strange feeling that no matter what we did, we'd be dead afterwards anyways. I didn't tell you because I figured that...figured that we could...no...we would finish this mission, and attain some rank due to our respect. They'd been toying with us this whole time...they knew that we'd..." Thos were his last words. Yukihara lay on the ground dead, blood pouring from his back due to a wound that Jack hadn't seen. It was just like him, to not tell him when he was hurt, not to seem weak...did it matter now? Does it matter anymore? These were the only things that Jack could think of...it hurt him on the inside...and he didn't know what to do now, except kill everyone that he could reach. In a flash of light multiple guards were dead. One of them came from behind him, and with his mind released from the Sphere's actions, he crushed the man, throwing him through the wall around them. He turned around to try and fight off some more, but several people had already fired there weapons off in his direction. He was almost dead, and could feel nothing that would save him from almost certain death , he turned around, figuring that if he were to die he would do something symbolic, and grabbed Yukihara's blade and swung it like a madman until he realized that he had hit a gas pipeline, and then even worse, the explosion that resulted. Everything went black, very quickly....

===============================================================================================================

3 Months Later
=============================================================================================================== He woke up strapped to a metal bed. One emotion could be felt coursing through his veins, fear. But as he looked down, he could feel a few more coming onto the mood. Anger, for one, was the most distinguishable, as he looked down at his ravaged body. He had one no clothes, and there was this metal belt strapped to him, his body was cold where it was covered. He was very scared, of course, as to where he was, until he was told by the man in the corner of the room. "You're in Japan, still, Jack." The fact that he would know his name was even stranger, he didn't have the slightest clue to who he was. He tried to speak but his voice didn't work, it was a pain to even try to do much more than breathe. "No, no, don't try to speak. Please, I can make this better for you, just trust me on this one." the strange man said smiling. He seemed old, but he couldn't tell, his vision was rather out of whack too, now that he thought about it. The man continued to tell him what had happened after the explosion, but not about who he as a person was. It scared him to think about such things like that, but it didn't matter, this man's ultimate goal was to help him survive, even if it meant replacing a majority of his body parts with robotic substitutes. He wanted to thank the man, but the sedative began working again and he was fast asleep. Waking up again he felt quite strange, and looking at his body he had a reason to. He was unrecognizable, and extremely....mechanized. He was told by the strange man that he had given him anything a human who lived to fight could ever want, and told him that he had something he figured he'd give him....walking back to his desk in the strange room, he pulled open a drawer.

The New Body, the new lifestyle

From it he drew a towel, and in the towel lay the sword of Yukihara. It made him want to cry looking at the thing, but his body wouldn't let him. The man explained that he was Yukihara's father, and that in the end Yukihara... had always known Jack, since they were children. the two boys had been connected throughout their histories, and only met eachother once before this epidemic had happened. then the man told him that in time, he would discover more about the one he;d killed people with, but for now, he should remain the way he is. With no words, he discovered that he was much faster in this new body than his old...and with that, he went to find Saizo. There were many mysteries to solve...but first...he would kill the man that had sought to strike him down. Whoever he was, more people knew about him than he thought they would...his fighting improved, and his ability to rationalize did with it. Walking to the miitary base that the Bodysnatchers had covertly taken over in his absence, he prepared to himself for battle.
You too...immortal?
No...I just don't fear death
After finally slaying the man, he went on to see the man that had saved his life, but could find nothing. Yet again.... his life had taken a strange and terrible turn. It didn't feel right, but after so many traumatizing events in his life, this one was just another to add to his list. But now...what would he do? What would he spend his life on? There was no more Vine Villains, there was no more life in Japan, there was nothing. the man's death had been generally accepted by the underground world and they didn't care. The government took it as a service, in reality. they knew that Jack would be hunted, but that meant that just one of their men was not going to have to die. It was painful acknowledging that now he was truly alone in the world, but he now figured that if he were to gain any strength at all, he would just stop caring. First though, he would get more official training. He learned how to fight from people that had left the Bodysnatchers after he slew Saizo, people that had been higher up than him. Poeple that would understand what he was going through. If even to the slightest extent, they were still willing to show him how they did things, and he was greatful. After returning to America, he was put into a state of more sorrow and depression, and lived in the Underground world, killing more aimlessly. Will I ever find a cause?

Sorrow, Awakening, and Ice

===============================================================================================================

Walking around in the Underground world of America, one of the few things that had been well hidden from the public, where all the freakshows like him could walk, he felt funny. So much changed so fast that he couldnt hold on to life. He barely felt alive in this metal shell anymroe, and rightfully so, only about a fourth of him was even technically a living organism anymore anyways. People stared at him, but only because of how he killed people aimlessly. They didn't care how he looked, none of that mattered to them, he just offed people like they hadn't been alive in the first place. Blood had stained his body, but it dried pretty quickly and you could barely notice anymore after about twenty minutes or so. He had nothing to live for anymore...why should anyone else? He was thinking about just killing himself on the spot, maybe he could get some attention then, but then again, he had it...and no one would really care if he died anyways. Wait, yes they would, of course they would, they would be happy. No more hassle... "Why do I live like this...." Was all he could think to say to himself at the moment, pondering what he should be doing now. One man with a strange skin complexion walked up to him, it was a dull gray and orange in some areas, asked him if he'd like to have a nice go with him. "Hey you, you wanna go a round? You see, that guy you just stabbed over there was my friend, and, he has a healing factor, and you're lucky he does. If he had been killed by some no name wanna be big shot I would have already just shot yo-" The man's head was already rolling on the floor, and people were gasping again. He kept walking in the same direction like he hadn;t heard a word the man had said to him. Suddenly, though, people were gathering in a crowd in front of him, all staring at one man on the ground, squirming, in pain, and not even asking for help. Jack respected people that took pain well, and went to see what was happening. He looked down in fear and surprise, and suddenly understood why people were gathering around the man, it was one of the most powerful people he'd ever met, the mighty Elusivestorm. But he was dying...he couldn't do anything about it, so he decided he would just walk off. One more person he would meet...but as he started walking, he heard a voice that was all too familiar...the sphere, again. After all this time of being dormant, it still had something to say... "You...you're gonna leave him there? Why? Well...if you're going to...then don't expect my help when you need it anymore..." It wasn't Levrore's words that made him want to stop, it wasn't the little girl in the alleyway screaming at the site of blood, it wasn't any of those things...it was...something that he couldn't understand. Back when they had first met, he had such foolish dreams, no name teams, but he'd put so much work into them. He challenged Gambler to a fight once, an idiotic idea, as a man like that won even when he lost. He had considered him a friend though...Elusivestorm said that he was actually one of his best friends, though they were never able to really meet. He asked him for advice all the time, and a lot of other things on top of that, but it never really seemed like it mattered. He always just told him a quick answer and let him be...but he had kind of enjoyed it. Wait a second...joy? Thats not an adjective he used for himself very often. It wasn't the fact that the man was dying either, death didn't bother him...or..did it? Death had turned him into what he was now...he looked over at the head he had removed from a man's shoulders earlier... and felt slightly queasy. A shocking realization dawned on him, somewhat of an epiphany now...he wasn;t built to be evil. He had nothing to...he never had really had a reason to do the things he did. He had just been depressed and felt alone...and he had never gotten to know all of the people he could have....he had never saved the people he should have...a striking and infuriating anger at himself welled up in his chest, he could have lead a less painful life than this...he could have helped Elusivestorm...he could have been his best friend, he could have gotten to know the man he had just killed, he could have gotten to know the people from the Ultimates, he could have gotten to know...himself. Looking at the sky and raising both of his hands, metal and flesh together, held together by steel bone, he screamed and cursed at the sky as he fell to his knees, and tears streamed down his face. He thought he couldn't cry in this body, the explosion had destroyed his tear ducts...but this felt like something else...water...no...it was his own tears, ones that forced themselves through...and then he saw that they weren't clear, they were dark crimson. His eyes bled when he thought of everything that he had been through...and pondered if this villainous lifestyle would ever make him happy. In his head, he suddenly felt a light...and then saw nothing but darkness...but by now he had become quite used to it when it came to randomly waking up in an unknown area...but when he awoke, he was extremely cold...and felt that he was somewhere with an ancient aura, a place of peace and yet great strength behind it. He stopped thinking about the world as it had been moments ago and stared at the magnificence of the enormous form of ice all around him...

After he met the dragon that rested within the cave, he was suddenly struck by its magnificence. He had never seen something of the like, but was not surprised to find something like that, his life was strange enough as it is....but it was so glorified....so powerful...he suddenly knew what he needed to do...with an assortment of heroes at his side, he was going to do things right....set a pace,....but there were so many old scores for him to settle....and he would need his old body back.

The greatest fight of all...was a fight versus Sparda, the toining point of his best friend's life, and his...it was here that he conquered his fear and dark side.

Nouveau raison d'etre

==============================================================================================================

The day would come when finally, the last seal on his mind had broken him. He didnt have anything left in reality, and he knew it. This team...this supposed family was only a joke that people used in a false sense of security. Upon an outburst in the Dragons Lair his old partner Rayne attacked him. This rage lead him into a fight that lasted for a while until being blasted unconscious and cold heartedly off the side of the mountains...and then, his sword that had been given him was still up there. He reached for something to fight with, but he couldnt feel anything. Much worse...he felt no love...no remorse...no friendship..not a dab of regret in these actions. He fell from the top of the mountain and plunged into the vast sea below.

There really had been nothing for him there, and he had nothing left to...his thoughts were broken as his body crashed into the ocean....and all he could do was drift until the endless waters either slew him or brought him to somewhere he could survive. He thought about his life..how all the things hed done...in the end, they meant little to nothing. Hed killed and killed...and there was nothing else left...he lost all he had, and when he got something to replace it, failed with that too. The bubbles flew to the surface and he slowly began to levitate to it also, and as he saw the world  eshrouded in blue and the sun sinking into the sky he felt that maybe this was all he was, and doomed to die as some failure, just causing trouble...his eyes slowly closed as his lips smirked and he knew he was right all along about what hed done with himself.

When he awoke, he saw himself in a medicinal area...so he had lived after all...what was this...some sort of insane punishment. He looked up as the beautiful woman and a middle aged doctor spoke to eachother across the room, the woman held some sheet of paper. Maybe this was his way out...he could hear the doctor conversing with another younger man that they didnt think he was going to live. Barely conscious he could see her walking over to him. Their eyes met, his slowly reaching out into sleep and back again, as the woman, seeming like a castled fortitude worth of personality. She looked down at him, and he saw the paper she had in her hand. Without a word he knew what this was...her voice spoke, unshaken and seeming slightly interested in the young man.

"A life for a life: I saved yours, you work for me now"

Being trained by Batgirlbabs, Shadow Huntress, and Akira Overdrive in physical combat, and gaining new attire, he headed off from his normal life and prepared to live fighting anyone that would strike towards Esther Cottillard LeBeau, he joined the team willingly. This French cult proved to be more of an interwoven family than he could have imagined, and he enjoyed having someone to fight for. Sliding two prized daggers into the hilts of his belt strapping his assassin wear, Jack started his life anew again.

Les Assassins SIlencieux. The breaking dawn had shone through and the sun was black. While in the assassins group, he began to disguise himself in multiple ways, a more noticeable one being dying his hair white, to avoid suspicion or being identified. Every mission he tried to look different, it was all he had when it came to disguise for the most part...but it worked.
