K'en-ei  (pronounced Kenny on Earth) had a sad childhood.  Born in universe 252, he had no friends because of his selfish personality and his explosive temper. Then one day a comet landed in the middle of Wert'ert. It was the Xen'lertheum Space Virus. It was a virus that went into the host body and bonded with he/she. Since Kenny was living in Wert'jok, it had a long way to go  to find him but it new that it had found a perfect host to befriend and he would not fight it.  When the symbiote finally found Kenny, it bonded to him immediately. Kenny realized what was happening but instantly shared his own thoughts with the virus and visa versa. 
For the next ten years, they both  wreaked havoc on their home dimension until the their world, Frer'husa, was lifeless.  Since they still hungered for death, they spent the next five years trying to find a way to get to the earth of our universe. When they finally got to the main earth, they realized, since they saw what a better planet it was, they decided not to destroy it and to be good. They befriended  most of earths superhero teams, but knew that it wasn't enough, they hungered for more, and a new power was born:

Every time they touched another being, he or she instantly died, so they became something of a hermit.  They moved to Aspen, Colorado and began living in sewers

since they could not find a way to not kill. Then they moved to New York and befriended Toxin, a symbiote, till he moved back to Colorado. He is currently living in the sewers since he is wanted for so many murders.
