I love this Blackest Night stuff, the tie ins too but this story is killing me too. The anticipation between issues and tie ins has me jonesin' for more. I have never yelled, "Don't go its a trap!" into my comic until this issue and that was only the second page. I loved seeing how Deadman would be affected (checkout Blackest Night: Batman for more with Deadman) and other dead but not dead guys which is weird because i never cared about Phantom Stranger or the Specter until this issue and now I do. There is a great balance of sub plots all throughout this issue. you want to know more but you know you won't get all the answers but what you do get quenches you curosity's thirst (kind of, if you get what I mean). You see how Atlantis/Aquaman are hit, the dead but not dead people are affected, space and other people/groups are affected (I don't want to spoil anything). The issue wasn't as shocking or emotionally "compelling" as the 1st but its still amazing so far my high standards are being met. The balance of plots is awesome i cannot stress that enough though. The issue shows how far reaching the Black Lantern/Blackest Night reaches.  A great example, A couple on panels show how much chaos and far reaching the Black Lanterns are. En Sabah Ur...RISE (yea we all saw it coming). Mr. Ur all the way out in space, dead for a long time you know he'll stir up trouble and the extremely little bit we of "him" sets up another great sub plot. Damn you DC comics why are you so good...READ BLACKEST NIGHT #1 & 2 AND THE TIE INS YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT, well you will once you are as hooked as I am.

Damn it why did this have to be such an amazing issue. Green Lantern #43 was okay but I wasn't impressed. This one... wow so much happened but its like the top of the ice berg, there is SOOO much more. So far our mourning heroes have no idea how truly boned they are. i was really surprised how many black rings there are and lanterns there are/will be. Best part: so far it is not complicated, i never got into Final Crisis because every issue and every tie in i did read confused me more and more. So far my theory is Blackest Night will be much more accessible (even though there has only been 1 issue ans 2 prologues). I really like how it doesn't really seem like a huge crossover event because it has been building and been "under construction" for so long we've all just been waiting. I was hoping i wouldn't get hooked but i am, i cannot wait to see what happens next, i want to know what drives the zombie-lanterns and what they plan on doing and whatever their rings do. This is a damn good opening issue i got a little taste now i want more sadly this my gateway comic

I'm not a huge fan of crossover events (secret invasion, dark reign) but dark reign is pretty different i like seeing the bad guys pretending to good guys but why is there now Utopia? Utopia is a crossover within a cossover but i got a copy of the first part and it wasn't too shabby i'm digging Utopia it has potential. I like the chaos, everyone is scattered some want to fight some want to resolve the situation and all the conflicting personalities but most of all the action thats bound to go down. We all knew the dark xavier was't going to be the real guy but at the end of the 1st issue the real xavier says their powers are being taken so i was intrgued but in this issue there was nothing discussing that or elaborating except for the omega machine...whatever that does. I like how Osbourne just keeps manipulating the world more and and initiating the dark x men is just another way to pull the veil over the eyes of the public and Mystique/Xavier just helps the decption and adds to his cause. But whatever ths issue is pretty entertaining i like the action and like seeing the world against Scott/Cyclops and his crew because (fake) xavier distances himself from the (real) x men. O and Emma is revealed as a "traitor" i bet there will be a lovers quarrel.

I love shocking twists....that aren't shocking. 1) Harry putting on the new armor = awesome but i kind of knew it was going to happen 2) Menace/Lily wanting to stay on the dark side and the baby not being Harry's cool twists but we kind of knew it was coming. I like seeing the armor finally in use and Harry fighting his dad (omg i really hate Norman). What was also not shocking was Norman having motives for Harry but what was actually surprising is how demente and evil they are. I liked the humor , seeing the original Bullseye outfit, Spidey/Norman fight and seeing Harry in the armor o and all the confirmation to my assumptions. I don't get how Lily looks like Loki now and really where Norman was going with his plans for Harry and whats with Normans little experiments is that Sentry in the tube (did you also see the name on the tube that read G Stacy)? Overall i like the issue the reveals weren't that surprising but they were just kind of predictable but just one of those things we been waiting to see.

Not the greatest issue i've ever read but i dug it none the less. Its pretty interesting seeing what those players that had a hand in Cap's death are doing a year after he was slain. Best part: Sentry saying how deserving Steves vigil is which of course upsets the iron doush himself. I don;t really get what part the "other Steve" will play or the Barnes girl (how did she get there anyway). Basically a descent issue but the last frame made me feel like a kid with adhd after a cup of espresso even thoughI knew Iit was coming. can't wait for July. PLUS, the begining portion that Alex Ross did is of course gorgeous.

Amazing series, amazing art and amazing writer. Sure its basically over but this was my favorite Battle for the Cowl tie in. Seeing how much influence has on the DCU is kind of amazing. Catman is considering donning the cowl out of respect and the need for a batman but it was even better hearing Bane hearing Bane killing that idea (also better than seeing Ragdoll in a Robin costume). Bane being the man who broke the bat shows so much respect for him by saying Catman is not worthy of the Batman title. Its kind of cool seeing how much Batman is admired, feared and respected even by villians (reformed or not). Gail Simmone brings so much life to each  character and she brings laughs always a plus. Deadpool is for the most part pretty solid. This is an example of that. the comedy drives every isue even if there is little action the banter and source work is the key. Considering DP has to take out a pizza guy pretty random and funny. This is a great issue with plenty of action. The fighting is also pretty solid, Bullseye/Hawkeye fighting Deadpool is always good in their multiple confrontations through history.
