This post relates to: Would you give up your eyesight in order to have Daredevil's powers?
But in all honesty no, no I wouldn't... I love tv, comic books, and other visual mediums way toooo muchProvicator's past is a mystery, as far as anyone knows he is here not to keep the peace but to keep the battle between the forces of good and evil from spilling onto the front page and therefore outing the existence of these super powered beings. Because he knows once they become known then the never ending war will engulf the entire world and lead to incalculable results. He has appeared on both sides of the war but recent has withdrawn form view to a pocket dimension that he discovered in a Toronto back alley. From there he watches and plays a dangerous game of misinformation and misdirection to keep this war from ever coming to light.
This post relates to: If you had superpowers, would you legalize yourself under the Superhuman Registration Act?
It really depends on wenther or not I feel I would be able to do more good by being registered than not... And only if I can continue to protect the area I currently do.This post relates to: Do your friends know you like comic books?
My core group of friends are all into comic books, really with them I am the odd man out since I'm not into anime (I gave it a chance I really did) and I dont cosplay either. But all in all their my friends because we started talking about comic books way back when in high school and then became friends because of it...
This post relates to: Thinking about the Superhuman Registration Act, should super-powered individuals be forced to register with the government?
I do think they should have to register because whether they like it or not they are accountable, I feel that this should be there to train the younger generation and as they gain more experience be allowed to move away from being solely a government operative and more towards an independent entity working in conjunction with the government. Basically the longer your there the more control you have in your missions or even just the ability to go patrolling.
So I'm not the first person to go on about Iron Man and I most likely wont be the last. Iron Man gives me hope that quality comic book movies will become the norm rather than an oddity. Well that is as long as Jon Favreau, Brian Singer, Christopher Nolan, Sam Rami and Guillermo del Toro do the filming. That and we go and shoot Brett Ratner in the head and burry him on the side of a long stretch of highway far far away from Hollywood. Wait I'm getting off track... Iron Man was witty, daring and appealing to the general public and a comic book fan boy's wet dream to the rest of us. They managed to do a fantastic re-imagining of the origin without changing almost any of the critical details. Without giving too much away Jeff Bridges was a fantastic bad guy. Faran Tahir however has the evil stare down pat. He is so good at it he would be able to pull off a Destro for G.I. Joe. Let me preface this on I do not like Gwyneth Paltrow however her Pepper Potts was spot on with just the right mix of ditzy and efficient plus she can run in heels and not look like an idiot so advantage Gwyneth. Robert Downy Jr... Perfect nothing more needs to be said. And lastly Terrance Howard's Jim Rhodes was excellent considering that the Air Force dictated his every move in the movie. And I mean literally... The US Air Force allowed Paramount to use their equipment on the one condition that they get the final say on the actions of the only military character in the movie hence why he had such a small role. All and all one of the best comic book movies ever.
Oh and the scene after the credits... well the reason they must have put it there is because "the Man" would have stolen the show. As for those people who haven't seen it once you see it you will understand who and what "the man" is. But really i've been trying to figure this out when did he become "the man" in every move he's done??
