Platitude added a review of Angel: After the Fall #12
    Simply fantastic!
After the Fall Chapter Nine is quite possibly the best issue of Angel: After the Fall so far.  Lots of really fantastic dialogue, a great surprise return, and a shocking ending.  Kudos to Lynch for his continually great writing.  This issue also featured a new artist, Stephen Mooney.  Towards the end of the previous issue the last artist seemed like he rushed through his art which was disappointing.  The art in this one was much higher quality and displayed more creativity in how it was laid out.  The resemblance of the characters to their tv counterparts was astounding as well.  ...

Platitude added a review of Angel: After the Fall #11
    A + Writing, Poor Art
#11 is an important issue in After the Fall.  Angel finally gets to meet vampire Gunn.  The writing of their exchange is fantastic.  Lynch portrays Gunn's insanity excellently.    The only bad thing about this issue is Runge's artwork.  While I really liked Runge's artwork in #10, in #11 it gets really low in quality.  It seems to get progressively worse of the course of the issue, hitting a huge low in the last few pages of the issue.  But again, its worth reading for the great, GREAT writing.  Looking forward to the next issue when they switch artists again.

Platitude added a review of Runaways #1
    An interesting new start
I was a little worried about picking this one up.  Starting over at Issue #1 with a new writer and artist, I wasn't sure what to expect.  Ultimately I enjoyed reading the issue, but I don't think I loved it.  The art is different...and after reading the issue I'm still not sure what I think about it.  But the writing was good.  I dunno...I just really don't know what to think about this new volume of the series.  I do feel like the characters lost a little bit of personality in the transition to the new issue #1.  I guess ...

My Real Life
My name is Andrew. I am a college student. I only recently became into comic books, but I now really enjoy reading them. Currently reading Angel: After the Fall, Spike: After the Fall, and Buffy Season Eight. Some of my all-time favorite graphic novels are Astonishing X-Men (the Whedon/Cassady run), Fray and Batman: Hush. I also like video games, and I have an account on GiantBomb under the same user name. I don't have nearly as many Wiki points over there though, but hey if you have an account over there too feel free to look me up :)
