Overseer commented on mrjoshua's Topic The Look of Luke Cage 3:02PM
I've basicly been brought up on the more modern Cage, so if I had to go by a costume for him, I'd go with either the hybrid of his original Hero For Hire look and his New Avengers look being used in the video games (Spider-Man Web of Shadows and Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2) or his look in the Secret War.

Overseer replied to the topic If Deadpool where on a team, who would be the unlucky guys (and girls)? in the Deadpool board. 2:20PM
I'm still kinda stuck on DP being a New Avenger. Simply because, 1. He'd be on the same team as Wolverine 2. He'd be on the same team as Spider-Man and 3. Think about it...Wolverine on the same team as Deadpool and Spider-Man?
Overseer replied to the topic The Death of ...Luke Cage? in the New Avengers board. 2:09PM
Oh please don't say Bendis is going to kill one of the reasons I read New Avengers in issue #60? Yes apparently they may be bringing Steve Rogers back to the roster, but it's still not really the same!

Why not simply Cage. Sometimes the best names are the simplest.
Overseer replied to the topic Cage and Jewel's baby in the Luke Cage board. 6:20PM
I think she'd have powers similar to Luke and Jessica's only a bit more powerful (talking simple genetics here people).  I'd personally love to see her appear in MC2 along with Spider-Girl too.

Overseer replied to the topic Not a Superman Clone in the Sentry board. 6:04PM
Sentry=Superman Moon Knight=Batman  well how about...  Spider-Man=Blue Beatle (Ted Cord) Luke Cage=Cyborg Ms Marvel=Wonder Woman and Deadpool=Death Stroke THEY ARE NOT RIP-OFFS OF DC CHARACTERS! None of them. Yes they have similarities, but they are entirly diffrent people. Having basis on a character dose not make them a clone/ripoff of that character. Try to see their dirffrences people, not their similarities!  (PS Marvel is way better)
Overseer replied to the topic Give the Sentry a Chance! in the Sentry board. 5:55PM
Generally, I'm against Marvel having a Superman-liike character (because Marvel dosen't need one), but Sentry, while I'm against the idea of Sentry, I like the concept of the character. In my opinion, there's nothing more dangerous in the struggle between Good and Evil then a neutral that's powerful enough to destroy either. Not only for more obvious reasons, but becouse the neutral could easly determane the fate of everything by ...

Overseer replied to the topic New Avengers fan stories in the New Avengers board. 7:04PM
If you could make story arcs for the New Avengers, what would they be?  For me, I'd make an arc where the team is accidently sent and trapped in another earth where they are the only heroes on earth. Be interesting for the lesser powered New Avengers to be expected to fight guys like Ultron, the Masters of Evil, Thathos, Kang and other threats way out of their league while trying to find a way home.
Overseer replied to the topic you must choose your own super team...who do you pick? 6:57PM
Spider-Man (Leader, thinker, well ballenced) Wolverine (practicly unstoppable)Deadpool (HE'S THE MERC WITH A MOUTH AND IMMORTAL!)Luke Cage (One bad mother    Shut your mouth     I'm just talkin about Luke)Ms. Marvel (very powerful)Moon Knight (good tech support and the favor of a god)Hulk (the strongest one there is!) Ok, we're sooooooooooooo screwed! (Interesting story, ain't it?)

Cage is very cool, but my vote for toughest marvel character goes to...  "HULK STRONGEST ONE THERE IS!"  ...(shaken) that guy...(faints)
Overseer replied to the topic One Bad Mouther Shut You Mouth! in the Luke Cage board. 6:29PM
Luke Cage is in my top 10 fav heroes list. He's kinda like the ex-gangster turned into a responsible and respectable man. To me Luke is kind of like Wolverine in the costume department, he dosn't need a costume, but he dose have a few good costumes (the tiara and yellow shirt was laughable but is a good use for embarressing him in comitic moments and I love his "Secret War" ...
Overseer replied to the topic Theme Song? in the New Avengers board. 5:40PM
I was thinking and I some how came to the question: If the New Avengers had a theme song what would it be? (Don't ask me how my mind works, 'cause I don't know)

A being of truely infident power. I create entire universes, or watch them crumble without remorse. I feel niether good nor evil should ever be too strong. All should be in ballance. I don't believe I am the ultimate power. I am merely an observer with a fancy of creation and destruction. Though few beings have gained my intrest.

If you could make your own Superhero team in the Marvel Universe who would be on it. What would their history be and where would they be now?

My team would be: Luke's Crew.

Roster: Luke Cage (Power Man) as leader, Wolverine, Spider-Man, Deadpool, Ms. Marvel

Base: Mobile, but moslty Harlem, New York City, New York

Transport: Deadpool's teleporting

Origin (takes place sometime after the Avengers break up, Post House of M): When framed for an explotion that killed seven people, Luke, Spidey, Wolverine, Deadpool and Ms. Marvel would join forces to find out who really caused the explotion. They'd eventually find out it was none other then Mr. Sinister, who was convinced at that point that  those five would be the perfect template for he perfect mutant (Luke's durability and strength, Ms. Marvel's energy projection, Wolverine's claws and animal senses, Deadpool's healing factor (with is stronger then Logan's) and Spider-Man's speed, reflexes and "spider sense"), and wanted to gather them all in one place to capture them, with the aid of Juggernaut. But the five heroes managed to defeat Juggernaut and Sinister (though he did get a small amount genetic samples from each). The group, believing that if Sinister thinks they could create the ultimate mutant, then perhaps they could do so much more as a team then a simple temp-team up. And so, they agree to team up again, shoulg the need ever come. The day after the Daily Bugle would publish a story labeling the group "Luke's Crew" and the name would stick.

Allies: Iron Fist, Daredevil, Weasel, Bob of HYDRA, Mary Jane Watson-Parker, The Fantastic Four, The X-Men, The Avengers, Captain America (Steave), Jessica Jones, Dr. Strange, Young Avengers

Enemies-Sinister Twelve, Mr. Sinister, Ultimatum (Sinister's Ulitmate mutant, also an X-Men and Fantastic Four villain), Dr. Doom, Purple Man, Arcade, Robot Master, Carnage, Moonstone, The Legion (a space insectoid creature who wants to eradicate all free will and indeviduality and introduce everything into her "Sworm", Based on Legion from The Gamera trilogy, and the Fold from MUA2), Grim Reaper, Kingpin, Silver Samurai, Magnito, Toomstone, High Evolutionary, The Brother Hood of Mutants, HYDRA, Dark Avengers and the worst of them all J. Jonah Jameson! DUH DUH DUH (woman screems).

Where they are now: During the Civil War the team would break up over diffrences in opinions concering the SHRA. However, in the wake of Secret invasion, the team reunited as a black ops team to strike against Osborn whenever possible. Even becoming frequent enemies of the Dark Avengers. They've also taken to wearing diffrent costumes to avoid pubic assosiation with them. (Luke wearing his Secret War outfit with a Black Goliath style mask under the alias, "Cage", Wolverine wearing a costume similar to his ultimate costume with Wolverine mask, Spider-Man wearing his Stark Armor and posing as a Scarlet Spider and using the alias Scarlet Spider, Deadpool wearing a new costume closer to the one we see in MUA2, and Ms. Marvel wearing a costume resembling the one her alternate self Warbird wore and even using the alias).

Spider-Man 3. Mix reviews, much fan displesure, and noted as the least liked of the Spider-Man trilogy. To keep it short, Spider-Man three is a very strong movie. Sam Rami did an outstanding job with Venom although he admited he didn't really understand the character. Getting the symbiote itself to be something of an addiction that can think was a very good summery of what the symbiote itself is protrayed as modernly.

I myself also love the Sandman backstory of he's the true accidental killer of Uncle Ben, but its done in a way that Peter still could have stopped it. It was a stroke of genius. Sandman became a character people could really care about as the 'good guy who's got bad luck'. Not to far off from the good/bad guy that is the mainstream Sandman.

Yes I'll admit, crying isn't Toby's strong suit, and Kirsten is not a perfect MJ, but I myself see their preformances as unforgetable in SM3 and find it to be one of the Under-Rated hits Marvel has made, along with Ang Lee's Hulk.

(Besides, at least its not the Howerd the Duck movie, even George Lucas couldn't make that mess right. See the Nastalgia Critic for further details.)

Two of Marvel's biggest stars/powerhouses go at it.

The story is simple but decent. Canadian gov. sends Wolverine to fight Hulk. Both are captured by Weapon X. Wolverine has to free Hulk before Weapon X brain washes him to take over the world ("Of Course!") or something just as bad.

The animation is a strong point and works very well with the story.

A real credit to this half of "Hulk vs." is the fighting.  The opening fight between the two is well done with the battle switching favor constantly. The other fights are fast paced  and dose all the characters credit. You can almost feel it when Wolverine is socked in the jaw and have to cringe a little when Hulk rips Lady Deathstrikes arms off and you know just how painful it was when Hulk punched Sabertooth several miles away.

Another credit is the voice acting. As always Steven Blum is a top form Wolverine. Encorperating much of the gruff tough guy deminor that help made Wolverine popular. Really Blum is one of the best Wolverine voices to date because he really understands the character. While Mark Acheson's voice isn't as rhythmic sounding as Liev Schreiber's, he captures a real dark under tone to Sabertooth, yet making him sound a lot like a dark Wolverine (maybe they really are brothers). Janyse Jaud seemed to capture a stirring preformance as Lady Deathstrike, including really sounding like she hated Wolverine to the point of killing him becoming an obsession. While I haven't heard many Omega Red voices nor really know much about him, I do think Colin Murdock is a decent OR. And while no one really compaires to the Lou  Ferrigno Hulk, Fred Tatasciore is decent.

And lastly is the show stealer himself; Deadpool. Deadpool's first animated and true appearence in something other then comics and a video game is one of the biggest reasons to watch this movie. Every scene the future Merc With a Mouth is in, he steals with his always funny humor. He's also very close to his comic counter part, even braking the fourth wall, telling the other villains to "Strike a pose." just before a scene transition. Nolan North is definatly a great Deadpool, putting a lot of energy into the character and timing the jokes just right to get that last chuckle out of the audience. Perhaps North may even voice Deadpool in his upcoming appearence in Wolverine and the X-Men.

But the movie dose have a few flaws. Such as the part where Deathstrike is stabbing Wolverine was a little wierd. (Was she having an orgasm or something? I felt like for a brief second I was watching hentai insted of Marvel.) And while the others were having a great fight scene, Deadpool was kinda left out picking up his arm (albet humorusly).

In total however Hulk vs. Wolverine was a very well done addition the Marvel's movies. A simple yet driving story, great action, strong character play on the actors' parts, few flaws and Deadpool's smashing entrence to animated Marvel the way he should be (go to hell Fox!). Definatly a solid 4.5 out of 5.
