Onyx just created a new forum post on the topic Firestorm vs Hal Jordan in the Battles
Firestorm is one of the most powerful beings in comics. However not yet.
He has been captured and turned into a living battery for some villians weapon more times then I care to admit( 2 to my last count)

this comes down to the man and not the power or weapon. Guy vs Firestorm...Firestorm wins. But say Ray Palmer or a top level scientist/chemist had the Firestorm matrix, a totally diffrent outcome

Hal wins on years of battle experience

I liked The Hulk theory. Outside of the box thinking which prompted me to pick my guy.
    But first my runners up
Firestar,Silver Surfer, Photon ( the former Captain Marvel)

But my pick would be...The Flash ( Wally West) he gets the vote for Kinetic energy that he can create and control

I agree with: Spawn, Midnighter, and Jack hawksmoor I disagree with: Saying red Hulk is original, Adam Warlork is not, and Sentry is like Superman I will add to mix that The Exiles ( not the "NEW Exiles however), Fathom, Invincible and Bomb Girl as being original characters and teams

Onyx just created a new forum post on the topic Will Robin be in Batman 3? in the Batman
Well, that is IF there is a 3. But with the record breaking numbers TDK put up I can't see why they wouldn't try.
But with the way the film ended, things might be a bit darker and harder for The Batman

Would they try to bring in Robin?

Although batman has a long line of Villians to use, not many are bankable at the box office
(although the Scarecrow would not have been my choice, but it worked)

Is the timing right to try to bring in the Boy Wonder?
His orgin is dark enough to fit ...

    Top 5 real life events:

    5) The Founding of IMAGE COMICS
Comic Artist were treated as Rock Stars for the first time. No longer working for the "man" and doing what every fanboy
dreams of, creating their own comics...their way.

    4) Blade: The Motion Picture
While Superman starrring Christopher Reeves was the benchmark for comicbook movies. Blade was the one that set the stage for the current streak of comic book movies. Blade was a d-list forgotten character at best proved profitable. The powers that be realized that there was money to be made if they used a-list ...

Onyx just created a new forum post on the topic Who is truly the greatest green lantern? in the Green Lantern
I'll go a diffrent route with this one. Hal is the greatest of the earth born GL's. But I suppose it will depend on the writer who is truly the greatest of the Corp.
I suppose greatness will depend on the abiloty of the ring bearer, the dedication to the Corp and his sheer willpower

Hal might not be the best in all catergories but he is the most rounded. Where Hal is the most fearless and headstrong of them
Alan not being a member of the Corp stills bears the name and is the truest hero of the group
    Guy ...

Onyx just created a new forum post on the topic MOCKINGBIRD in the Marvel Universe
So consider the fact that she died in the 80's/90 in the cancelled Avengers West Coast era. It is funny that they bring her back as a emotional plot device for the Skrull Invasion storyline.
It begs the question are they planning on bringing her back to the MU?
    and if so how?
Will she be a Skrull with the memories of Bobbi
or will it be as Bobbi with the past few years of her life passed by?
Or she should they bring her back at all?

I think she has suffered enough, well suffered unfairly, but ...

Will the real Titans please stand up!!

First let me say Hello, this is my first review to this group. But not the first book I ever read. I have been a big fan of the Teen Titans in all their version.

I think the relaunch of Young Justice might be my favorite version, and this team we have now....is my least favorite.

Not to say the line-up is bad, because roughly it has been unchanged since the beginning. It just got hit with the "ONE YEAR" ugly storyline stick.

Teen Titans was never the same since. Between adding 20 new Titan members ( which we never see), The return http://www.comicvine.com/css/images/stars/off-right.gifof classic Titan Jericho. and the introduction of Wendy and Marvin to Dc continuty

This might have been a good idea if Deathstroke wasn't involved. To me this just reads like Teen Titans Go! with a diffrent artist.

And speaking of artist Tony Daniel's work come across uneven and choppy to me.

For example, Robin is tied to a stone pillar in one panel, Jericho and Slade crash through a ceiling(?), Robin is shown being tied in between two coloumns, then in a third panel, he is tied to a pillar again.

Overall the entire book has been a mess which is surprising with Geoff Johns with writing credits.

It is the fact I love the Titans that keeps me coming back, not the execution of the product. I rank this at 3.5 stars...since I can't figure out how to use the ranking systems yet lol

Ok, I can forgive the fact the issue started without knowing how they got together. I can even forgive the new art style Mr Yu. I can even go so far as to say I can forgive the fact the book feels like it should be called the DEFENDERS not the Avengers, all because of one thing.

Seeing Silver Samurai the once great crime lord, arch villian extraordinare, sitting in his den, with his surround sound dvd player watching Mean Girls is priceless

And that is why I like this issue, the humor, and interaction between the team.

Good stuff all around, and you can't beat Dr Strange and Wong, and Power Man and Iron Fist trading lines respectivily in one issue

Granted with the half a million INititive books being realeased, I might have missed where the team was formed and how Luke became the leader, a good choice, but still would like to see how he stepped up to become the man.

Overall not a bad read, but this seems like a book that will take a strory arc or two to get it's feet wet and make some noise.

As a number one issue, left alot of questions unanswered and presented a heck of alot more.

The cliffhanger wasn't really all that surprising ( damn Wizard magazine)

So my excitement for issue 2 is a wait and see status.

And not for nothing, since when are the Avengers running away from a fight with a pack of ninjas?

They better get it together before a certain green skinned gentlemen comes knocking...hard

First of, I almost missed the book on the shelf thinking it to be another Superman title. So especially with the promo pin up released and the fact it is named TRINITY. I found it odd that only one character was on the cover.

As far as the book goes, it was hard for me to wrap my head around it. It came off like a JLA story from the over the top, insanely powerful cosmic/deity level villians to face down.

At the end of the book I did not get the feeling that this is a book that would replace Batman/Superman

I had orginally thought it was going to be a Brave and the Bold style book. One story arc would be batman/wonder woman, another Superman/Wonder Woman and so on.

I'd assume with it being a weekly book we won't have to wit long to get to he payoff, but it was not the start I had that it would be.

HOWEVER, Bags looked great for the few action panels he did get to draw, hopefully Busiek will provide a chance for Bgs to cut loose and really have fun in the DC sandbox. His Flash looked great though.

As far as first issues go, this was not all that great. I will try t oread the end of the story only becuse I am curious how it will tie together. Not because it was so good I had to keep reading...like BOOSTER GOLD( you must read this book) for example lol
