Octagon Freak was born on the planet known as Octillion, which is based completely on the number 8. He was trained in a special military school that teaches battled tactics and power usage. He was gifted with powers, and trained in the fine art of infiltration. Freak was in the top of his class, second to none by far. During his time in school, the Octillion Power Gem, which was the source of most of Octillion's power, was stolen by a band of bandits. They used the gem's great power to teleport into another dimension. The deminsion that contained Earth was there location, and on Earth, they hid. Freak was assigned the task of traveling to Earth to recover the stolen gem, for he was the most fit for the task. The Octagon Elders, who sat upon the Octagon Table granted him their most advanced space-ship to complete the mission. The ship was equipped with the most technologically advanced dimension-shifting devices the Octillion's had ever created. The only problem was that, once Freak had traveled to Earth, the ship would not have enough power to bring him back. He must survive and recover the gem on his own. He traveled to the planet known as Earth, and began his journey to find the gem he desired.

Due to his specialties as an infiltrator, Freak is often assigned missions on his own. This has made Freak into somewhat of a loner. He likes to be by himself, and rarely associates with teams or people. But when he does, he usually makes the correct choice, and he does whatever it takes to get the job done.

Freak has super strength of about 800 lbs. which is comes naturally, as the Octians are naturally stronger than humans, due to the increased gravity of the planet, and can control and manipulate darkness/shadows for a variety of effects. He can teleport or play on other's fears and make simple constructs. Octagon Freak can make 'darkness constructs,' like a Green Lantern, but not quite as skilled. He can make simple shapes, hands, weapons, etc, and also possesses some great leadership skills. Freak is a natural-born infiltrator. He can easily access almost any location he desires, once near enough. He is a master of sneaking and hiding, manipulating his darkness control powers. He knows a magnitude of information on electronics and hacking devices. Octagon's powers get slightly stronger at night, when the darkness is plentiful, and reigns supreme over the light. (This also applies to rooms or places where there is a low light level.) Octagon can use a radar based skill to help him in areas that are so dark that one cannot see. Octagon "senses" the darkness and it's movements due to others. He sends out a little wave the comes back to him and he can recognize how far away an object/person is. Since his powers are based on darkness, intense light causes him to lose control of his powers for a short time, not to mention temporarily blinding and weakening him as well. Freak has no special talents that separate his immuminty or defensives from that of a normal human.

Clothing: Light-weight armor, made on home planet. It is as strong as the thickest metals on Earth, and is bullet proof, but only covers the chest and legs. The head is covered by a cowl that hides his face, and is sometimes accompanied by a cape that is used for gliding or protection. (Think Batman style) Octagon wears a series of straps on his arms and legs to carry knives or supplies. Octagon also wears a bandolier for extra storage.

Gear: Octagon carries a few hunting knives with him in case of emergencies where he is caught off-guard, or his powers are shut down. He also carries other supplies, like a first-aid kit with analgesics, bandages, wraps, and a small defibrillator. Octagon also carries a few door-unlocking devices that bore through the door handle, and destroys the tumblers. He carries a decryption decive that plugs in, or can be wireless, and can decode anything in a matter of minutes. Octagon also carries a few devices when he wants to remain subtle or not use his powers. These are short-time hologram projectors, smoke bombs, and flash grenades.
