Okay, I must admit...there's been a lot of times when I've disliked Spidey.  I've called him emo, cry-baby, girly...but I guess, like everyone else who hates Spider-Man, I've forgotten what he's supposed to be all about.  When Stan Lee and the other guy created Spidey, they intended him to be different from all the other heroes at the time.  How was he different? He was a teenager, just growing up, dealing with the same angst and inner anger all of today's teens have to deal with.

Now, reading this stand alone issue, really showed me once more that Spider-Man can truly be a likable character.  The Way Paul Jenkins writes this is truly great because there are many moments of genuine humor and the few moments of action, show Pete as a kinda hero who's confident in his abilities.   I think reading this issue is the closest you could possibly get to experiencing a day in the life of Spider-Man, and if your ever having trouble defending why you like Spider-Man so much just refer to Peter Parker: Spider-Man #37, it's all there.

Okay I DO like Cable and I DO think this series will be very important to the history of all mutants. However, I have one problem against this series so far and it's simply that time-traveling is such a major part of he story. Seriously can't they ease up on it a little?

Well going I'm not his series I knew there was SOME time- traveling but not this much. If you like this kinda thing and you're a fan of series like Booster Gold and whatnot, then pick it up but if you want a real good story and good literary content than don't expect much from it. I do give credit though for the writer finally explaining why Bishop shot Professor X.

I will continue to check on this series probably via spoilers on this site but unless this starts being so one-dimensional, I won' pick up the series again.

Last month, New Avengers had the Secret Invasion cover tag on it. Excited and giddy as hell (yeah guys can get giddy too), I picked up it up and read it. Well, it was great story and all, but come on! It didn't deserve the tag on it! Well this week as I was picking up my comics I again saw the New Avengers complete with it's little Secret Invasion tag. I thought to myself, "Eh It's probably not gonna have anything to do with the damn Skrulls, but what the hell, it's got Wolverine." So I picked it up.

After reading this comic I thought not once, but twice of slapping myself upside the head. This book has everything to do with the Secret Invasion, some juicy Skrull-laden content in here. First off, I didn't expect Daredevil to be a Skrull, not because "oh he's so great" but because of the fact that he is kinda detached from the rest of the marvel universe (this means Thor and Captain America are also fair game).

Also, reading this, I don't know, but I got the feeling that Clint's sudden interest in Echo can be evidence that he's a Skrull, because everybody knows the best way to gains someone's trust is by shoving your tongue down their throat right? No seriosuly, I really do tihnk Clint, Hawkeye, Ronin, whatever you wanna call him is the Skrull assigned to infiltrate the Secret Avengers team. I can't wait to see Wolverine kick his ass. Another great thing in this book that is NOT directly related to the Secret Invasion is Wolverine's and Echo's dialogue. It's nice to see that the writers stayed true to Wolverine's attitude. I like the fact that he is sternly interrogating Maya but still has a kinda flirty attitude towards her. I don't know if you'll agree with me on that. I just think that when Wolverine finds out that Clint Barton is a Skrull (if he really is a Skrull. Let's not jump to conclusions.) he's gonna cut off his left arm, and when he finds out that he kissed Maya, he'll cut of his right arm...and then...I guess Wolverine will savor really cutting his Skrull body into little pieces. GO SECRET INVASION!

This issue is just what a lot of X-men books are lacking: it is very cerebral and has a very clear and evident story too it.

While reading this story, I thought, "hey Magneto isn't really that bad of a guy." If you don't know what I'm talking about just know that Xaier is brain dead and Magneto is depowered because of M-Day. Throughout the whole issue, Magneto makes light of this situation, poking fun at the fact that he and Professor X have pretty much been the authority of the mutant world for decades, and now, they are both powerless and unable to do anything significant in the mutant world. This issue dives head on into Magneto's and Xavier's love/hate relationship and has a tone of nostalgia. I say this because as I read this book, I do start to remember everything that Eric Lensherr and Charles Xavier have done for the mutant community and well, I couldn't help but feel sorry for these two guys. I mean, they've lost almost everything. It seems that Magneto is still set to lose more as this issue shows how the Acolytes are starting to lose their respect for their mentor.

All in all, this book is a great read. Those of you who really care about what's going in the X-men's world have to pick this one up. If you just enjoy the slashing and bashing then this book is not for you.

Wow seriosuly a great issue. I've always loved action and for you fans who hate the whole story and jsut want action, action, action you can get a tase of that here. First of all the x-men vs. the marauders is so freaking entertaining especially wen the two of the toughest mutants ever face off: Wolverine and Gambit. Woah! simply put: i loved it. I also really liked how my man Nightcrawler handled himself out there against Exodus, pretty nice.

About the ending...All i can say is that Cable always gets the job done, no matter what.
