Am I the only one that hates "New" as an adjective? The most notable that has bothered me is New Avengers. Ok, when they first started out, calling the book New Avengers  seemed alright, cause thats what they were. But then came the Young Avengers, and they lost some of their "New". I guess if you don't really count the Young Avengers as an Avengers team it still counts. But now we have the Mighty Avengers, and here this team of Avengers still supports the "New" And as of recently we have another Avengers team forming,  Dark Avengers, and New Avengers will remain the same. If you thinking about it the team that is supporting the adjective new is actually the oldest Avengers team around now.

Then there is New X-Men, I'm sure they were new at some point. But they lost their new just like the New Avengers did to new X-Men teams and line ups, and eventually calling them "New" doesn't make sense anymore. You wouldn't call your car new if you had it for a couple years, would you?

Then there are the teams that start of with new in the name that never had an old to begin with, like New Warriors or New Gods. Where are the old Gods? And once again, they loose that New feel to them after awhile. Another disappointment with the term New, is what does that tell you about the team? Is it a good team? Bad Team? Exciting team? Amazing? Well at least we know its new.
