@Caligula: The blue ones are created by fans as well. Also on a side note the range that sabretooth and Spider-Man are in is a 4 which goes from 800 lbs to 25 tons. So yes, Sabretooth and Spider-Man fall under the same area, even though Spider-Man is many times stronger.  Doc Ock is shown as a 2 for strength with is normal for none enhanced humans. They do not ...

@Caligula: You didn't make it up, but Marvel.com is written by fans. Just like Comicvine, Wikipeidia, or Marvel Database.  Sabretooth originally had a strength level of about 800 lbs which made him equal to Wolverine in strength. He later had it increased to 2 tons, which is still much less than Spider-Man's strength which is 10 tons. Spider-man's strength isn't great enough to crush Doc Ock's arms, I highly doubt ...

At the very least give him one of those secondary stories at the end of Ms. Marvel or something like She-Hulk has at the end of Incredible Hulk.

Nobody's Reviews

That's right, the long awaited return of the Nobody reviews are back...well I'm sure there is at least one person who has waited for them. So lets just have a brief run through on the last few issues of Amazing Spider-Man. Alright so May Parker has just been married to J. Jonah Jameson Sr, calm yourselves you are thinking of JJJ Jr.  So this makes Peter Parker and JJJ like brothers, technically cousins, but May is more of a mother to Peter than a Aunt by now. I might also have to mention that JJJ Jr is now Mayor of New York City and has assigned a Task Force just for stopping Spider-Man. By now you are probably like, "How can Peter's life get any crazier?"...how bout the return of Mary Jane Watson at his Aunt's wedding!

So last issue Peter wakes up from a hangover, not able to remember anything from the day before. He realizes that he has slept with someone and assumes it was Mary Jane, but it turns out to be his new roommate, Michelle Gonzales. When he makes the mistake of calling her, "MJ" she kicks him out of their apartment. So Spidey is running around New York looking for a new place to stay, and trying to remember where he told Mary Jane he was going to meet her. Since this isn't a review for 601, I'll skip to he finally remembers where to meet Mary Jane, but she doesn't show up because she overslept. But it is revealed that MJ remembers that Peter Parker is Spider-Man(See One More Day and Brand New Day).

So at the start of the issue a unknown man is tired to a chair. He is scared and sweating and his voice is being repeated over a tape. There is another man in the room repeated everything he says, and the man yells, "STOP COPYING ME!" It is revealed that the Chameleon is the one holding him captive. Using a special gun, Chameleon shoots a putty on the man's face which turns into a perfect mask. removing the mask, Chameleon pushes a button which drops the man into a pool of acid.

We jump over to Spider-Man chasing the super villain, Slyde. Spidey quickly knocks him down by smacking him in the face with the sewer lid. But as Spidey goes to arrest him, it turns out that Slyde is actually a police officer dressed up to trap Spider-Man. Suddenly Spider-Man is attacked by Mandriods, outdated S.H.I.E.L.D. weapons that J. Jonah Jameson purchased with the city's money. Spidey quickly escapes by sticking to the side of a bus that passes by the battle.

Peter Parker heads over to City Hall, because "Uncle" Jay had set him up with a job working for JJJ Jr. Peter finds out that Glory Grant is also working for JJJ as his Press Secretary. Peter is sent on an assignment to go take pictures of Jonah at their new "Shadow" Command Center. As he is leaving the building, Peter's Spider-Sense starts tingling, but he can't tell where the danger is coming from. A street performer dressed as the Statue of Liberty, stabs Peter in the neck, causing him to black out. An ambulance arrives on scene, and the street performer loads Peter into the ambulance and it drives away with Peter captive, the crowd around them thinking the street performer was helping him out. Chameleon reveals that he is controlling the ambulance by remote control and is taking Peter to his base.

We jump over to the Coffee Bean, where Mary Jane shows up to see Harry for the first time since he is back in town. Harry was busy mopping the floor on his own, since he has been struggling being able to afford employees. Mary Jane tells him that they are going to go clubbing tonight, but when she goes to use the bathroom to freshen up, she sees all of Harry's stuff has been moved in there where he has been living.

Peter wakes up to find himself strapped to a chair, Such like the man was at the beginning of the comic. Chameleon shoots the putty on Peter's face, making a perfect mask. Removing the mask from Peter, Chameleon drops the chair and Peter below in the acid, like he had done before. As Chameleon puts the mask on of Peter, Peter's phone rings. Chameleon answers and Mary Jane tells him that Harry is going through a rough time and they need to try and help him. Chameleon tells Mary Jane, "Sure, Mary Jane. Name the time and the place and I'll be there."

So overall, it was an pretty good issue. I like seeing the return of Chameleon, he always means trouble for Peter and was his first super villain. This issue was more of just a set up for something coming up, but it was well told, and I can't wait for the next issue, now that Chameleon has an identity where he can get close to Mayor Jameson.

Highlights:
  • Mary Jane is back, and knows that Peter Parker is Spider-man, but why hasn't she said anything?
  • Peter had slept with his roommate, what kinda stress is this going to put on their relationship? What is Vin going to think when he gets out of prison?
  • Chameleon is back and is wanting to get close to Mayor Jameson, what is his plan?
  • Chameleon has now taken Peter's identity? What happens when he interacts with Peter's friends and family?
  • Peter was just dipped into a acid bath?!

So last issue it was revealed that Scarlet Witch was actually Loki. But why would Loki want to form his own team of Avengers? Norman already has the Avengers thing going on with the Dark Avengers. Also last issue Quicksilver discovered that the Scarlet Witch(actually Loki) was with the Mighty Avengers and so he now wants to join them so he can meet up with his sister.

So this issue we start off with a meeting of the Cabal. They all have their own demands of Norman Osborn, but the main topic is Hank Pym's Avengers. So one made a comment about the fact that these other Avengers teams are making Norman's look bad. This gets him pretty steamed and he says he is going to take car of it. So the meeting ends and Norman gets H.A.M.M.E.R. to start tracking Hank Pym's activities. Loki revealed that his plan to bring down Norman Osborn is working with his team of Avengers.

So it goes to Stature and Vision who called the Young Avengers together so they could tell them about the new team of Avengers. But as they opened the door to the Avengers Mansion to meet them inside, they instead walked into Pym's Pocket Dimension Lab. The Scarlet Witch had called the team of Avengers together once more, to deal with a threat. The Avengers new threat was battling Swarm. Cho was using the Ant-Man helmet to try to control Swarm's bees. As the number of bee's began to die down, Quicksilver showed up and made a vortex to push the bee's away. The other Avenges got angry at him, because Stature and Hank Pym had been shrunk down and was mixed in with the bees. Stature and Pym made it out ok, and before Quicksilver really had a chance to explain himself the team teleported away without him.

Meanwhile back at the Avengers Tower, Norman Osborn had take a bone from Goliath so that they could examine the Pym Particles off of it and figure out where Pym's lab is. But as they are getting ready to test the bone, Norman sees Pym on the news. Pym states that since he is the only active original member on any of the Avengers teams, that he considers his team to be the "offical" Avengers. Norman Osborn yells in anger at Pym's statement and storms off. As the Mighty Avengers just teleported away from the scene, Quicksilver shows up just missing them.

The team then travels to France, where they are battling monster from the sea who calls himself Titan. The Mighty Avengers are assisted by Blackjack(sorry they don't seem to have a page to link to) who are using salt guns to try and dehidrate the monster. Hank Pym and Stature had grown to try to hold him back from reaching the water. But the two were not strong enough, but just before he reaches the shore, Quicksilver shows up and creates a whirlwind around Titan, knocking him to the ground.  Blackjack tells Pym that since they are being targeted by H.A.M.M.E.R. they should sign up with their Gobal Agency. It will give them clearance in every country without having to go through Norman Osborn. Hank Pym agrees, he also agress to let Quicksilver have a chance on the team for helping take out Titan.

At the end of the issue, Quicksilver is shown taking to the news where they report that he seems to have a rough time in the Superhero Community. Quicksiver imforms them that he would not know anything about that cause he just got back from a Skrull ship after the Invasion. Jarvis pulls Hank Pym to the side and tells him that Quicksilver was never with them when they were held as Skrulls Prisoners, and Pym tells him that he knows. Also at the meeting for the Cabal again, someone makes a comment that Europe and Asia are calling Hank Pym's Avengers the "real" Avengers. Norman Osborn flips out and starts raving how his team in the real Avengers.

Overall the issue was pretty entertaining. Not the most exciting read I have, but I like the "classic" Avengers feel this team gives you. There are also some pretty important things that are happening here.

Highlights:
  • Loki - So Loki is the one running around as Scarlet Witch, the question was why? When now Loki has revealed he wants to bring Norman Osborn down. This Cabal has some major trust issues.
  • Norman Osborn - He truely believes that he is a hero and that his team are actually the Avengers. And he is getting really upset when anybody else says otherwise. I have a feeling that he is going to have one of his "episodes" at the wrong time pretty soon. And it just might be Loki's Avengers that make him do it.
  • Quicksilver - So now Quicksilver is back with the Avengers, but its mostly for the chance to see his sister one more time. The problem is, that its Loki who is really the Scarlet Witch. Is Quicksilver going to be able to tell the difference? And if the Avengers do find out that it Loki, then what happens?

Alright, let me just say that I love this series. Invincible has to be one of my favorite non-Marve or non-DC character. Let me also say that due to some pull list problems I didn't catch that last couple issues of Invincible so I'm a little bit behind.

So we start off with the aftermath of the Invincible War. Some people are blaming Invincible on the news for the attack and deaths of so many people. Savage Dragon basically tells the news reports to stop being stupid and watch the tapes. They would find footage of Invincible fighting against his evil dopplegangers. While this is going on Mark is at the hospital with Eve, who by my guess was injured during the attack and is in critical condition. Cecil shows up through a "door" and informs Mark that they need his help. He then tells her that he is moving his men here to look after Eve and that her parents are on the way.

When Invincible makes the scene to help with clean up, he is attacked by Powerplex. He is quickly taken down by the surrounding heroes and taken into Cecil's custody. Oliver tells Mark not to blame himself, but Mark keeps letting the guilt get to him. Mark then goes to see Eve one more time, just so he can have someone he can talk to. But when her parents show up, he quickly leaves.

A meeting is soon held by Cecil to make a new Guadians of the Globe. He first asks Invincible to lead this new team, but Invincible quickly turns it down. So Brit is offered the position, while Invincible leaves to head back to clean up duty. As Mark is working to find any survivors from the battle a Viltrumite appears before him. He calls himself Conquest, and told Invincible that he has come to see his progress. And if Invincible gets in his way, he will kill him. Invincible in anger tells him that with everything that has just happend the only thing he has wanted was something that he can hit.  So the pair charge into to battle with each other.

Alright, I have to say I loved the issue. I really like the art for the Invincible series. I like whats going with the series. The crossover of the image characters. Just the whole thing was really great. If you ever thought about getting into Invincible now would be the time. I can tell this thing with Conquest is going to be huge!

Highlights:
  • Atom Eve - Ok so she is clearly in a bad state. Her parents are by her side now, but what is Invincible going to do if something happens to her? I mean she the one he can tell stuff to. Through his whol Invincible War, even though she can't hear him, she is the one he has been going to to get stuff off his chest.
  • Guadians of the Globe - So they are having a new roster. Brit is going to be leading them, and it sounds like the rest of the team will be Robot, Black Samson, Bulletproof, and Monster Girl.
  • Conquest - He is one old Virtumite, and one that looks like he has seen a lot of battle. This is going to be bad for Invincible. The Virtumite age slower as they get older, and the way this guy looks he is going to be very very old. That means he has a lot of experience. Invincible also isn't old enough to have the full strength of a Virtumite, which means he is not only outclasses experience wise, but probably physically too.

So in the last issue, Spider-Man just got back from the Macroverse to find that two months had past on Earth. A lot of things had changed since Spider-Man was gone, and he doesn't know what all of them are. The main one he does know is that J. Jonah Jameson is now Mayor of New York City. Also he has found that while he was gone for two months all of his bills has been paid, but he doesn't know by who. Swinging out of his apparent, it appears a mysterious woman was watching him, possibly the person who paid his bills. Knowing tthat JJJ being Mayor is trouble for Spider-Man, he heads to the Mayors office where he finds that JJJ Sr. Is defending Spider-Man from his son.

When Spider-Man shows up he tells Jonah he is offering him a truce since nothing else in the past had worked. JJJ refuses and calls in a S.W.A.T team he hired just for stopping Spider-Man. He tells him that he will be hunted 24/7 until he is caught. Peter knowing that is would bug Jameson, decides to not stop being Spider-Man for a few days. So he goes rescuing people non stop, just to get on Jameson's nerves. The S.W.A.T team he has hire has had no luck in capturing Spider-Man and all his deeds.

Meanwhile, while Spider-Man is saving people out on the docks a group of criminals are making a run for it. Oh of them says he has been shot, so the others sacrifice him, by tie him to the docks so that they can make their escape. While they ride off in a boat the injured criminal says, "That he is only a urban legend." But as he looks up you can see the out line of what looks like the Vulture. This new guy sweeps in on the criminal and appears to maul him to death.

Back to Spider-Man a boy is about to run out into the street chasing after his ball. Spider-Man swings in and saves him just in time, and the boy imforms him that he "reeks". Realizing that he hadn't bathed in three days and hadn't eaten since yesturday he goes to Aunt May's house since she is supposed to be working at F.E.A.S.T. Taking of his uniform he throws it in in the wash. Peter thinks he hears his stomach grumbling but then realizes that it was not his stomach, but coming from Aunt May's room. Checking to see what the noise is, Peter opens the door and walks in on J. Jonah Jameson Sr. and Aunt May!

So I found this to be a fun issue, some major plot changes for Spider-Man. The writing was fun, and the art pretty good too. I can tell that this issue is just to lead into something much bigger.

Highlights:
  • Mayor Jameson - With Jameson in charge of New York City, he has hired a special S.W.A.T team just to track down Spider-Man 24/7. This could be a major problem for Spider-Man in the future if they show up at the wrong time during and important battle.
  • Vulture - So the new guy is obviously the New Vulture. We know this cause at the end of the last issue they said there would be a new Vulture. But who is this new guy or gal? Why are they killing criminals? And is it going to be friend or foe for Spider-Man?
  • Mystery Woman - Who is the mystery woman who was spying on Peter Parker? Was she the one paying his bills while he was gone? Why would she do that? And does she know that he is Spider-Man? I have a feeling she might turn out to be this new Vulture.
  • Aunt May - EWWWWW! Ok in al seriousness this could be huge for Peter Parker! I mean he walked in on Aunt May and JJJ Sr. How is this going to effect him mentally? If Aunt May and JJJ Sr. got married, that would make Jolly Jonah and Peter Parker related! Not only that they would be close to brothers! This could be major for Peter Parker.

So I started reading this series from issue #1, and I have to say its been one of favorites from Dark Reign. Punisher shows you the dark dark side of the world. Sure some others deal with having to deal with Osborn running the show, but Punisher gets down and does the work other heroes don't want to do.

So in last issue, The Hood is given the task of tracking down Punisher and dealing with him. So last issue we were left with Punisher cornered by the Hood's men with no apparent way out. Taking action though, Punisher managed to fight his way through all of the hood's men. The Hood then sends in the Grizzly to find the one who is helping Punisher and kill him. With help from the Hood's "Hacker" they manage to find the Henry's house. But instead of finding anybody, Grizzly finds a trap and is killed in an explosion.

Now that the Hood knows who Henry is, the Punisher is going to have to take the fight to him. Suit up with a bunch of old equipment the Avengers used to use, Punisher get ready for the fight against Hood. Back at the Hood's base, his hacker is revealed to be non-other than Microchip! Microchip tells Hood that he is only working for him so that he can see his son again.

Overall the issue isn't that bad. Pretty basic, but the reveal at the end was very nice. Here's the hightlights:

  • Punisher - He seems to be using more high tech gear than his basic guns in this series. He is still a shoot kill ask questions later, but with the upgrade gear he is more dangerous then ever.
  • Microchip - Yup! He is back. But how? Did Hood bring him back with the powers of Dormammu? Why would he betray Punisher? He mentioned seeing his son. I actually didn't know Microchip had a son. Is this new?

Next issue should give us the show down between Punisher and Hood. Should be a good show, I also can't wait to see Punisher's reaction to Microchip. Will he kick the new guy to the curb for his old ally? I'm also going to leave you guys with last image...good stuff:

Lets start off by saying this could be the most important issue of Amazing Spider-Man since 546! Does Spider-Man remember his life before Brand New Day? How did the memory wipe work? All these and more questions were answered in this one issue!

So if you remember last issue Spider-Man and the Fantastic Four had traveled to the Macroverse where they were all considered to be gods. Mr. Fantastic had called the heroes under Invisible Woman's force fields so they could talk.  But Human Torch got upset about not being able to remember who Spider-Man was under his mask and shot a ball and fire at his mask. Spider-Man quickly removed his mask in front of the Fantastic Four.

So we are started off with Human Torch gasping at Spider-Man's face? Well what should have been his face, but Invisible Woman protected Spidey's identity by turning his head invisible. They all agree to drop the subject of Spider-Man's indentity missing from their memories, and got back to fighting the alien's from the Macroverse. Invisible Woman then remembers Mr. Fantastic was going to tell them all something before Human Torch started fighting Spidey. Reed Richards tells them all that time in the Macroverse moves much slower than on Earth. So for every hour they spend there, 13 and 1/3 days go by on Earth. So some scenes are shown about what has been going on back on Earth while our heroes have been arguing with each other(I will go into this a little bit later). The group puts their differences aside and help make their way to the enemy base. Once there, Patronus(a member of the civiliaztion that the heroes are protecting) talks to the rulers of this race. He reveals that he is a half breed, making him the ruler of everybody. With peace settled the Fantastic Four and Spider-Man get ready to leave the  Macroverse.

While getting on the ship to leaves, Reed asks how this mindwipe work. Spider-Man tells him, "It's kinda of a ...Psychic Blindspot. Even if there is a stack of evidence pointing to who I really am...your mind won't let you connect the dots." Reed makes a comment about or connecting them in the wrong order and Spider-Man says, 'Right. You'd come up with your own solution. Not the right one. But one you could accept." Spidey then explains that if he reveals himself to you, all memories of himself will come rushing back to you.

Spider-Man then tells that the reason he can't risk telling anybody his identity is because if they every were controlled by a supervillain his secret could get out. Reed discovers that he could replicate this mind block on their minds so that if Spider-man reveals himself to the Fantastic Four his identity would be safe. So Spider-Man removes his mask and they all remember everything from before One More Day. Well they get back to New York City, Spider-Man finds that two months of his life has been missing and their is a new mayor in town. And he is none other than J. Jonah Jameson!

So a really imporant issue, I recommend picking it up if you want to understand Brand New Day. Here's some highlights:
  • Spider-Man's Identity - As of now Spider-Man's identity is known to the Fantastic Four and New Avengers. This issue once again goes against how he acted in the last issue of New Avengers where Spider-Man revealed himself to the whole team.
  • Mind Wipe - How does the Mind Wipe work? The best way Spider-Man discribed it is that "You have all the dots to his identity, you just can't connect them in the right order." You're mind will keep trying to fit them together until you find an answer that you accept, though it won't be the correct one. This is why nobody questions the disappearance of Spider-Man's identity. He also said that if he reveals himself to you, you will remember everything all at once.
  • Two Months - So some seriously important stuff has passed since Spider-Man left the Macroverse. The most important being that J. Jonah Jameson is now mayor of New York City.  Harry Osborn is recovering in AA with the help of Carlie Cooper. Norah Winters has started dating Randy Robertson. Finaly, Aunt May has started dating J. Jonah Jameson Sr.!
  • Mary Jane Watson - That's right in the two months that were gone, Mj came back! Well...sorta. She leaves a message on Peter's phone that says, "Hey, Tiger, I...I thought you should know I'm--" and then she got cut off becuase his answering machine ran out of tape. What was she trying to tell him? Back in town? Married? Guess we'll find out in the future.

So long story short, very important issue. Thing everybody should who is interested in Spider-Man or where they are going to go with him should pick this one up!

So let me start this off by saying I'm not a very big Superman fan. Its not that I hate the character, I just have a hard time buying into his character and storylines. But when I saw that he had a new story starting up, I decided to give it a go. Since this is a review for issue 2 obviously I enjoyed the first one.

So the issue starts off with the Guardians of the Universe taking notice of New Krypton appearing in Sector 2814. They give the order to have Hal Jordan investigate to see if New Krypton needs "Green Lantern involvement". We then jump to New Krypton where Kal-El(Superman) had just joined the Military Guild(due to him being one of the only Kryptionians that has experience with their newly devloped powers). Zod was showing Kal a new weapon that the Science Guild develop, called "the Modified Archer-Class Infantry Assault Long Arm". Zod imforms Kal that Lieutenant Nar will be his "Xo" and that she has his orders. The two of them find some soldiers attacking a Torquat(creature from New Krypton) for fun, and Kal steps in and stops it. As punishment Kall imforms them that they will be cleaning the Barracks and then spend the rest of the rest of the daying doing flying maneuvers under his direction.

Later on Tyr, imforms Kal that there are rumors some of the Labor Guild might rebel so that they can be equals with the Science Guild and Military Guild.  But as the two of them talk it over Kara shows up. But before the two of them have a chance to really talk, they are interupted by General Zod who tells Kal they have a situation.  A heard of Thought-Beasts were going to destroy what little of the New Krypton they had managed to terraform.  Kal is given the orders to stop them by any means necessary.

When Kal's unit arrives on scene he orders them to put their weapons down and that they would use their abilities to stop the Thought-Beasts. The group use their heat vision to carve a hole in the ground a canyon leading into it. Kal then tells them that when they get close to the beasts try to ignore all thoughts and just focus on each other. As they get close they all start to see illusions that terrify them, but Kal leads them through and they use their heat vision to lead the heard into the canyon. Zod congratuations Kal on a job well done, though he says its not the way he would have handled it. The two get an order that members of the Labor Guild are holding people hostage in the Gala. Zod had just asked Kal what they should do, when they get word that Commander Gor has taken aim at other members of the Labor Guild who were not involved and that if the hostages weren't freed in "Sixty Thribs" they would kill them. Zod tells them the soldier to imform Commander Gor to go through with his plan when time elapsed.

So I have to say, I find it interesting. Its not the best books I've read, but its keeping me entertained. The arts pretty good and I'm curious where they are going to go with this. So now for some highlights:

Guilds - The poeple of New Krypton(and apparently old Krypton) are split up into three working classes(Guilds) and these are Military, Science, and Labor. The Military Guide and the Science Guile are the upper class guildes. Military deals with the protection of New Krypton while the Science Guild inproves the quality of life. The Labor guilde though are the lower class Kryptonians and they are more severants to the upper class. Kal has experessed on more than one occations that he doesn't agree with that, but others have tried to convince him thats just the way things are.
General Zod - He is the rulers of New Krypton. Making sure everything is in check. Now he is the one who put Kal in the Military Guild, saying that it is due to his experience with his powers that the other Kryptonians don't have. But its probably more that he wants to keep and eye on Kal-El, make sure he isn't going to cause him problems.
Kryptonians - Well as we all know that Krypton was original under a Red Son, making the Kryptonians weaker. Well New Krypton is on the otherside of Earth's Yellow Sun exactly in its orbit. This is causing the Kryptonians to gain abilities they never had before. So everyone on New Krypton basically are like Superman, though he is one of the few with experience with his powers.
Green Lantern - Now we didn't actually get to see Hal Jordan go to New Krypton in this issue, but I want to see how this turns out. And I'm curious if New Krypton will get involved in "Blackest Night."

So long story short, if you enjoy Superman you will love this book. If you don't though I suggest you give it a chance. You might be surprised.

Dark Reign continues and this is not the Hawkeye we know! But can Bullseye really make the grade when it comes to being a "hero" Honestly I have to say I'm liking Bullseye a lot more. You just never know what he is going to do next.

So as show in the a preview a few days ago, the Dark Avengers(excluding Sentry and Captain Marvel) are battling it out with a man who has gotten a hold of a Hulkbuster. Norman is shown to place him showing off to the public to be more important than actually stopping the criminal. Hawkeye(Bullseye) takes it upon himself to take take down the Hulkbuster himself. Taking direct aim at the man, he tells him, "Good news, bad new. Good nenws is, Hawkeye doesn't kill people in cold blood." which the man replies whats the bad news and Hawkeye says, "I'm not Hawkeye." The man ejects the from Hulkbuster and Norman gives orders to take him alive. Hawkeye makes a comment about Norman's signal breaking up and fires an explosive arrow at him killing him. When the Press shows up, Norman tries to cover for Hawkeye killing people. But Ben Urich keeps pressing the matter until Norman orders HAMMER agents to take him away.

Later at the Avengers Towers, Norman calls Hawkeye into his office to talk to him about his actions. Hawkeye tells him that if Norman wants him to use the bow and arrow only, thats fine and that if he expects him to dress up like a hero he can do that too. But Norman is mistaken if he thinks that Hawkeye would hold back against poeple. Norman tells him that he has worked too long to gain the respect he is getting and that if Hawkeye messes it up for him he will find himself in an "unmarked grave".

Hours later, Hawkeye finds a lady who is being attacked by three guys. One of the men is killed instantly by an arrow through the head. Then next guy is pinned to their van with an arrow through each hand. The final man gives up, but being himself Hawkeye puts an arrow through his head too. The woman tells him thank you and tells him how her son is the biggest fan of the Avengers. She then asks for Hawkeye's autograph, but when he takes the pen, he shoves it into her head. The man hooked to the van starts begging for his life. Hawkeye shoves the gas peddle on the van down making it drive off the edge and landing right on some police cars. Going up to one of the men on the ground, Hawkeye carves his "bullseye" symbol in the man's forehead and says, "That's all I ever wanted, Norman. Credit for my kills." Hawkeye looks up to find that all his actions were being recorded from a news helicopter.

Overall I think its a decent issue. Lets you see Bullseye(one of the more interesting Dark Avengers) getting to cut loose and be himself. He is interesting cause you aren't quiet sure what he is going to do. I half expected him to actually sign the autograph for the lady, but he turns around and kills her, just like he was in his Bullseye costume again.

Hightlight Notes:
  • Norman Osborn - He seems mored interested in what the public thought of him than actually protecting people. When the giant robot started to fall on the crowd Ms. Marvel made a comment about the innocent bystanders and Norman's reply was, "The What?" Also an important note is that Hawkeye notice Norman actually believes he is a hero. Its not some act he is trying to put on, he actually believes he is "Iron Patriot".
  • Hawkeye - He's a man that knows what he wants. I'm just not sure how being with the Avengers lets him get it. He said it a couple times that all he wants was "Credit for his kills", yet he has joined a team that wants to keep him from doing so. I'm not sure what he is gaining from the team. But he is interesting, I found that at certain times I believed he might actually to the "right" thing but  in the end he always showed his true colors.

So when I heard about this title months ago, I put it on my pull list as soon as I could. I will be honest with you, I haven't read many titles with Barry in them. He was long dead before I started reading comic books, so a chance to read up on one of the greats was exciting.

So as for the story, Barry is back. People want to throw parties and parades for him and such. Yada yada. Nothing to exciting, a bunch of talk about how great he was, etc. Hal Jordan finds Barry at the Flash Museum and they have a conversation. In the end Barry runs off telling him that he can't attend any of the parties. While running Barry has a Flash back about his mothers death. Suddenly the villian Savitar jumps out from Barry's body and tries to run off. Barry reaches out and grabs him, and when he does it cause Savitar to age rapidly to dust. This also cause others around the world connected to the Speed Force to feel some sort of pain.

Over all I personally thought it was a good issue. I mean, not the best title I have ever read but it looks like it will lead into a good series. Now for the comic highlights:

  • Villains from the Flash Rogues Gallery seem to be gathering to discuss Barry's Return.
  • Gorrilla City was outraged by his return
  • Most heroes including JSA and Titans are excited about Barry's return and wanted to throw him a parties.
  • Bart Allen almost seemed angry about Barry's return.
  • Barry told Hal that he doesn't have time to stop, because he is on "borrowed" time.
  • Savitar told Barry that he was only the beginning as he start to decay.

RETCON:
So as I said, I haven't really read many stories with Barry so I didn't notice this. But they show during a flashback, that Barry's mother was killed by his father. The reasons are unknown(maybe he was framed). But from what I understand, both Barry's parents lived long lives and even outlived the moment he got trapped in the Speed Force. So I can understand how for older fans of the character will be upset by this change. But if you are new to Barry, like me, you will not even notice this and enjoy the title.

Alright, so I'm not going to do a fancy video review on here like some people on here do. But lets do some of the basics.

Storyline starts off with a classic adventure with the Spider-Man and the Fantastic Four in the Microverse. This is taking place before the events of One More Day. Spider-Man during this little adventure is shown with his mask off through the whole thing while he is hanging with the F4. After saving some of the locals of this Microverse, it jumps ahead to the present time.

Spider-Man is arresting the villain Looter, when behind him is an Iron Patriot poster. Looter tells Spider-Man that times are different and he won't even have to spend one night in jail. After making a joke, Spider-Man wings off where he runs into the Fantastic Four. Mr. Fantastic tells him that they had received a distress signal from the Microverse asking for the Fantastic Four and Spider-Man. Spider-Man agrees to go with them, but as he does Human Torch makes the comment that for some reason he no longer has his name or number anymore. Spider-Man quickly cut him off though. Meanwhile, at F.E.A.S.T. Martin Li, also known as Mr. Negative, is asked to run for Mayor of New York City. Harry Osborn was also shown to take up drinking, probably due to his girlfriend turning out to be Menace.

While in the Microverse, they find that civilization there had expanded greatly. They also found out that the people of the Mircoverse believed Spider-Man and the Fantastic Four to be Gods. They even had statues made for each of them. Mr. Fantastic made a comment that his face appeared much older than it should have. Human Torch notices that Spider-Man's is no wearing his mask and remembers that during there last adventure in the Mircoverse Spider-Man was completely maskless, yet he can't remember what Spider-Man looked like. Spider-Man tells him to drop it, but then they are attacked by men riding giant lizards.  Mr. Fantastic tells Invisible Woman to put a force field around them so he could try to explain something about the Microverse to them. Before he gets a chance though, Human Torch starts freaking out again about not knowing who Spider-Man. Spider-Man tells him one more time to drop it, that nobody can know who he is again. Spider-Man pushed Human Torch down, and as he starts to walk away, Human Torch blasts the back of his mask. Quickly Spider-man throws his burning mask to the ground. When Human Torch sees Spider-Man face the only thing he can say is, "NO WAY!" or close to that.

Alright, so my thoughs on the issue. Overall it was a fun cosmic adventure with the Fantastic Four. Felt very "classic" adventure to me. It was kinda nice getting away from the normal. Now Highlight notes:

  • Mr. Negative running for Mayor - I have a feeling this will at least be played on more during his Dark Reign Tie-In, if not later in Amazing Spider-Man.
  • Harry Osborn's Drinking - This kinda reminds me when he started doing drugs. I would hope they wouldn't do another one of those story arcs with the exact same person though.
  • Human Torch's Reaction - This is very big for me. I like how someone isn't just letting it go that the whole world has forgetten Spider-Man's identity. I mean they remember they used to know who he was, so you would think people would be looking into this.
  • Spider-Man's Reaction - He kept telling Human Torch to drop it everytime he brought up his identity. He then told Human Torch that nobody can know who he is again. No exceptions! First off that line sorta goes against New Avengers #51, where he just revealed himself to his teammates. But also what is important about this, is that Spider-Man seemed to know about the deal with Mephisto, or at least he knew something happened that changed his life to the state it is in now.
