The lightning was completely absorbed by Zac's cells, instead of taking a vein to the ground as it normally does. Because of the electromagnetic field that was present at his birth his body is attracted to energy, mostly electricity. When Zac's body absorbed the energy and started a chain reaction that caused superhuman abilities to start developing, his eyesight to correct itself, also heightening his other senses completely. He found he could also absorb forms of energy, with varying degrees of effectiveness, and then change the energy into electricity (or plasma if enough is discharged). One side effect of his new powers he could no longer sleep on a regular basis, as he no longer needed sleep he worked and studied more to keep from being bored. As a result his grades and life in general improved and he was able to chose any Division One college of his choice. After reviewing weather patterns he settled on University of Miami. His college career skyrocketed as he was able to lead a full nightlife while keeping up with his studies, he continued this philosophy of party all night and work all day till his best friend, Abiba Lansing, whom he had a secret crush on was raped one night by some unknown men. He then decided that he shouldn't be wasting his gifts living the college dream. He gave up partying to fight crime. But this new vow was rushed into as he had not learned how to channel his powers except to charge his phone or laptop. That night he killed several of the men and sent some bystanders to the hospital. He began to train vigorously mind, body, and soul so that he would never kill anyone by accident again. He made a suit with a dark navy blue and black scheme and adopted the alias Navitas which is Latin for "energy". When Thane charges an attack his eyes light up. When he has a break he likes to fly toward any major storms that have popped up on the planet. While he has superhuman abilities and senses his eyes are only 20/20 and his durability is only some what better then average. Thane can create a temporarily make electromagnetic shields. One problem he has with his powers is that if his body energy is going too low then his abilities are compromises and the fact that he doesn't sleep catches up to him. On the flip side if his level are too high his body starts to ionise, he later discovers that this leads to newer abilities and a sort of Plasma state of his body that can return to it's original form afterward.
