You missed something lol. For this month there are 7 issues coming out (Doom Patrol yesterday, Blackest Night, etc, etc) that each have a lantern corps ring you get when you buy them. The black lantern ring isn't part of it as they were given away at FCBD this year, but the rest of the spectrum is included (even green).  These are a little better than the usual promo GL rings ...

I would take it in a heartbeat, and I wouldn't consider it a curse at all, but I guess most people actually like enjoy human interaction and stuff. I would spend years reading every book I could get my hands on, learning every martial art known to man, so many things to do, and finally enough time.

From the long, long conversations I've had with people about casting the Avengers, the only people we could all agree on to some extent were Jessica Biel (my vote) or Charlize Theron.

Absolutely great movie. Went and saw it with about 15 people, and every single person loved it.

Alright everybody, I got us a code for TFAW. The deal is that we get free domestic (including Alaska & Hawaii) shipping on any order over $20. The coupon is valid from tonight at midnight to Sunday at midnight. So the only catches are that it has to be in-stock stuff, and you need to spend at least $20.

To use the code, just click here http://www.tfaw.com/offer/comicvine?qt=cvine

The discount will automatically load into your cart. If for some reason it doesn't, or if you make multiple trips or something, you can also type COMICVINE into the gift certificate/coupon redemption area during checkout.

So I had a nice thing going, every Wednesday I would swing by the comic store down the street and pick up the new issues. Things ran smoothly for a long time, but this term I have a class on Wednesdays. Instead of being able to pick up my comics, I have 30 minutes to get from work to the University (1 hour drive). Go Thursday right.. nope, I have a class Thursday at 5:30 as well. I have to wait until FRIDAY to get my new issues.

DAMN YOU HIGHER EDUCATION.

Most of the Wolverine: Origins comics so far have been history lessons, not giving the creative team much room to make it their own. This one was definitely my favorite W:O issue so far. No flashbacks, just Wolvie and Deadpool duking it out. Although DP looks pretty different than what we are used to with Cable & Deadpool, it works. The fights were pretty awesome, and Daniel seems to understand what it is that people love so much about Wade.

To sum up, I am really looking forward to reading the next 4 issues of "The Deep End", and I can't wait to see what Daniel Way and Steve Dillon do with Mr. Wilson in his new solo series.

The story here is pretty good, it introduces an important character in Maverick's stories, Elena Ivanova. This is also one of the very few times that we get to see Kestrel (John Wraith) in all his glory. The flashbacks of Team X don't tell much new, but they reestablish some things that were already known, Creed (Sabretooth) is a sociopath, and Wolverine hesitated a lot when it came to killing innocents. My problem with this issue is the artwork. The whole issue is very dark, although that fits with the story, but every panel has little detail and mostly seems like a rough sketch. There is a lot of shading rather than full images with shading. I don't know if that is a style that is often used, but this is the first time I have seen it to this extent, and I really didn't like it.
