Man, I haven't logged in here in a loooong time. Bleh on me. So first the comic news... I'm playing catch-up on lots of comics. I just read the first 2 trades of Brian K. Vaughan's EX MACHINA. I'd heard good things about it, and for good reason. It's definitely not your typical superhero book. It's actually more of a political book, but don't let that scare you. I'm far from a politics fan myself, but this series is fascinated, unpredictable and downright fun. I'm hooked.

Second, I've finally breathed new life into an old comics site I had. It used to be heavy database stuff with php code and whatnot that your average computer user like me couldn't update super easily. Well, I've since converted the entire site to a blog style, and now it is insanely easy for me to keep it up to date. Woo. So free plug time:

ComicBookMarks.com is the site. The main part of it is a directory of Official websites of comic professionals (writers, artists, publishers, organizations, etc.) I'm not including fan sites or Web comics at all. And while I have a news & reviews page, I haven't quite figured out how to fit sites like ComicVine into there. Yes, there's News & Reviews on here, so it'd fit there. But it's also more of a wiki, so maybe I can create a wiki-resource type page (which would then be the only real fan type pages I had). Anyways, I'm always looking for new sites for your favorite comic professionals, so if you know of any, please let me know!

Don't know how many dads are on this site, but if so, chances are you're a younger dad whose not really looking to get a tie or new belt for Father's Day. Finally heading out tonight. Been way too long since I actually got out. And thankfully there's a decent movie playing! So yep, I'm seeing "300" tonight with a buddy of mine. I loved the comic when I came out, though I barely remember it. Hope the film's nearly as good.

Hah. And I found the entire comic series in video format. :)

So I was playing superheroes with my 4-year-old son, digging through a bin of my old action figures. I found my favorite classic Toy Biz Wolverine figure in the classic yellow and blue outfit. I showed him Wolverine, and then he grabbed a Secret Wars Wolverine figure. I said, "Who's that?" He responded with, "It's Wolverine." I told him good job figuring it out, even though the costume was different. To which he replied. "Oh. It's Wolverine's BROTHER. Farfel."

So there you have it. Scoop right here! Wolverine has a brother. And his name is Farfel.
