Daredevil - be blind, but with super-enhanced senses you can tell if someone is lying, recognize by voice or scent, eavesdropping from miles away etc. You can't look at paintings or watch TV & Movies.

Cyclops - can see normally, but see everything in shades of red and be forced to wear ruby glasses every moment of your life (sleeping, in the shower etc.) one accident can hurt/kill the ones you love.

In the 1980s, after the success of Spider-man and His Amazing Friends , Marvel had  planned on broadcasting a cartoon series based on a character yet to have his own animated series - Daredevil

The series was to star blind attorney Matt Murdock, who would fight crime as Daredevil with the help of his seeing eye dog, Lighting The Superdog!

You may remember that Daredevil already had a seeing-eye dog in the comics. During Joe Kelly’s run, Foggy Nelson’s mom, Rosalind Sharpe, gave Matt a seeing-eye dog as a gift. Deuce, the devil dog, but Deadpool’s sidekick Weasel later won him from Foggy in a poker game. Deuce became the seeing eye dog of Blind Al

Television writer Mark Evanier  had pitched the idea to ABC. Evanier wrote out a pilot that did not include Lightning, and ABC was ready to buy the series. Later, a Marvel executive had "said the wrong thing" to an ABC executive, which supposedly was looking for an excuse to not buy the show and to give the time slot to another project that he preferred.
