Poor Choices

Movies that could have been great, but weren't.

For the record I was rooting for each and every single one of them.

List items

  • One of the best Batman stories ever told is made a sandwich to a fanfic about Batman and Batgirl. I look forward to the fan edit.

  • You know how this could have been a better movie? take Origins (which they flirted with) Weapon-x (which they briefly mentioned) and add his time in japan. Boom. Movie. You get three different heartbreaks, three different resolutions and all the fans are happy and want another movie made.

  • Instead of focusing on Ryan Reynolds delivering lame jokes why not pan over his shoulder and zoom in on blade killing vampires. Just a suggestion.

  • Nipples, Glowing neon nipples with roots that stretch down though the very soul of this production, choking the life out of it. Can you smell that? The air smells of latex and fog machine.

  • I know somebody who loves the campiness of the old Batman series, they don't give a rats ass about Batman. Needless to say that is also the only person I've ever heard of who enjoyed this movie. Swing and a miss.

  • For being such a bad ass movie the film was too afraid to tackle the superhero element to this story. It's not just the costumes that are missing. It seems immoral to take an assassin and make them heroic for very little reason. A magic weaving machine is not easier to digest then a global conspiracy btw.

  • I thought movies took a lot of money, time and energy to make. I thought they were supposed to be special. If you're going to go through this much effort to make something why not at lest try to do a good job. i wish that kid never would have rubbed that lamp... oh wait-

  • Then I'm not a big fan of Mortal Kombat either. Every character was over the top, Leguizamo is allowed, every other badguy/hero/hero trainer/extra/best boy/and grip is to much; were all these same people standing around the kraft services table screaming at each other:

"CAN YOU PASS ME THE MUSTARD!!!"

    "SURE THING!!!!"

    "AAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRGGGG!"

  • Anyone want some leftovers? You know like left over plot devices, left over characters? This movie was hard to watch when I was 10. When I was 10 I could watch anything. See below.

  • I feel since I'm putting TMNT II & III on this lit but not 1 I should explain. The first move could have been true to the original comic, gritty violent, hell it even could have been in black and white, but I probably wouldn't have had a chance to see it when I was 9. The first movie, Archie as it was, was fun (flawed) but fun nonetheless. As for TMNTIISOTO, should have taken the money and run.

    P.S. Vanilla Ice, nuff said.

  • Yeah so everything I just said, but at least this one gave it a good try with the japan and all, but still, radical half shell cowabunga = soul sapping. For a good time with TMNT pop in the first movie, mute it, and play the mortal combat soundtrack.

  • Nicolas Cage

  • Elektra is one of my all-time favorite characters, in the upper 5 without a doubt. Like virtually every movie on this list I was hoping for the best. I won't make a big list of what I think is wrong with this move because you can glean most of that from any teaser trailer, which explains why it took so long for me to watch a movie about one of my favorite characters. I will say this, the fight scenes! Each had 1 bad thing in them, some unnecessary weird pose, or a crazy street fighter tornado kick or something to screw them up. and "E" is weepy as all get out, showing some softness and range in a character is one thing, but this ridiculous.
