DEADPOOL!

I, for one, am glad he's back. And with a bang too. I was very pleased with the first issue. A little confused at the end, I think the term WTF!! comes to mind. The first issue was a little slow. The second issue, however, was a lot more of the Deadpool goodness I love. It was senseless violence, supidity, madness, confusion and of course hilarity. It was great. It really was. And to top it all off, it comes with a moral: Do Not Clone Deadpool. Do Not Let Deadpool "Train" Your Clones. What Are You Stupid? Oh yeah, skrulls are, aren't they.

And once again there was a WTF ending for me. Can't leave that out...

I love the Power Pack. I really didn't used to, but, well, I guess they've grown on me. I especially love the newer revamped stuff. It is really awesome, with GuriHiru's artwork being my favourite. The Power Pack are explained in a fun and thoughtful way with Fred Van Lente writting scripts that are friendly for all ages, not too babyish or too old.

I have always, more or less, understood the origins of the Power Pack, but the Day One story explains on a new level. With each member contributing to the story it makes for interesting reading. Especially when Katie and Jack tell it. Adding to the fun was the inculsion of Frankling Richards. It was neat just having him in there to ask questions, be puzzled by the explanations and comment on the story.

Overall this was a swell read. I would pick it up again and again, just for something light and fun. The Power Pack hasn't dissapointed me yet.

I am not a huge fan of the X-Men. I am very picky about the characters I like, most of them I shrug off right away. I have not had a chance (rather given myself the chance) to read about any of the other X-Teams in the Marvel Multiverse. The Exiles gave me that chance. The chance to over look the X-Factor (not the team) and enjoy the book. Throwing together  X people from a bunch of different realities to keep reality in order.

Do not miss this issue, read it before (and after) you read the New Exiles. It is, overall a great start to a great series. Well written, well drawn and well put together. I real must read, so add it to your list.

There is no doubt about it, 52 is one of THE BEST stories out there. I want to read it again and again and again...you get the idea. I have never really enjoyed an arc so much. You will never hold your standards to the same height again. Trust me...read this for your own good. If you have someone that you want to hook on comics then give them this. Something to add to your collection for sure. If you thought the Marvel Civil war was big, then hold on cause you really have no idea how big big really is!
