Why would Superman Prime even go to earth. Why not just go to the sun. He would most likely escape detection and be better off to fight. Also ripping off Risk's other arm is really stupid. I hate comics that just pillage kill and maim to show a threat. Then later we make it all better by letting them come back somehow. I'm not against a tragic story not even against the death or maiming of a character for a good story but this did not help the plot. Ohh he ripped off Risk's other arm now I know he's a real bad guy. I just can't see how a no armed superhero makes a good story. DC has disappointed me too many times to swallow this tripe. I feel bad for anyone who thought Risk was cool. All Risk gets is four panels in the book and he looses an arm. This is the Doomsday story repackaged all over again. A super bad guy comes to town kills and maims and then everyone has a dark trauma of picking up pieces. Now all superheros are dark brooding vigilantes. How many stories in the last ten years have been like this. Is there anyone in this the DC universe who hasn't been killed at this point? Here is my solution don't kill a main charter every week and then you don't have to bring them back next year. The only reason these charters keep coming back is because at the rate there dying there wouldn't be any left in a year. So whoopty doo Superman-Prime is a real bad guy not like any other before him... or at least until the next guy.
