My Father

My Mother

My real mother was a human. She was Egyptian and believed anything is possible. That they're are things out there that is beyond our comprehension and that we are are not meant to understand. She would fall in love with person she would call a man but to others a being. A being, mutant, or demon who she would fall in love with. They both knew it was wrong but they were head over heels in love with each other even though they both knew that they came from two totally different worlds.

My father would be forbidden to see my mother but they're love was so strong that in order to protect each other they both  found a place where both of them would be safe to go to so that they could be together. Little would they know that they're love would bring a child into this world who would be a person of good who protects the innocent. With my father not really being able to be around my mother it was getting harder and harder for them being together, until the day that would change their lives forever would about to happen.

My mother was waiting for the day that my father would show up. He never did. Till this day I'm not sure what happened to him but all I know is that this would be the tuning point where everything would go wrong and my mother would never be the same again. She was broken. Her spirit and everything was gone and but from that point on it would only get worse. My mother was stressed out and she would find out that she is pregnant. This added to the stress because not only was she going to raise a child on her own she wouldn't know how everything was going to turn out especially since hatred of people who are not human looking was on the rise. She would raise me but when trouble occurred we had to move on. From this point things are a little fuzzy but I can tell you that she did try to protect me the best that she could've. It was a lot of pressure on her and it was taking its toll on her. Friends, family and people she knew turned they're backs on her and in the end it was just me and her. She did everything she could to protect me but the raging war was just to much. The Sentinels were being made and the humans and mutants were not getting along at all. This would be a time where no one would be safe. Mutants being picked on, beaten and some even killed for the cause of trying to prove to humans that they are human but just different. This raging war and my mother becoming sick due to everything, my mother thought that it would be best to give me up to a place where she thought that I could be safe. She was giving it some thought but I ended  up being taken away somewhere else anyways. Though I was young I would have to work to serve a man known as 'The Master'.

Since I can remember I have been working day in and day out up until I was 11 I think. I never knew why I was there until one day I overheard what was going on and that 'The Masters' plans was to work us all to death because we were mutants. Even though I'm not sure if I was a mutant or not, I was still punished because of my outer appearance. Though following what 'The Masters" rules were even though I felt like it was wrong I obeyed him. But from this point on all of that would change after realizing that I couldn't take it anymore.

Now this would be the point where I would start to discover more and more of my abilities. I would train in secret whenever I could find the opportunity. The only thing I had to live on was hope and that maybe someday someone will come and save me. Waiting and training, two years later I would come to the realization that there is no one out there that would help me and its up to me to decide what happens. Gaining some of what are my powers I decide to leave this place of which there was nothing. I never knew the real name of this place since it was never told to me. So I planned an immediate escape. Being that I was about to escape and one of the only people that was able to read, write and talk I told myself that one day, when I'm strong enough I would come back to this place and rescue all the other mutants that were being captive and to make sure that nothing like what I went through would ever happen again. I just couldn't bare the thought of someone else going through what I went through, being alone and angry at the world for not understanding that we are all human. 

The Plan

• first i was going to pretend i was dead
• then when i was unchained drain the powers from the guard
• acquiring his knowledge i would run to my one last chance for freedom
• since each guard knew where they were only supposed to go in terms of each floor i decided to absorb the energy of the guards on different levels.
• if i was discovered by the MASTER i would rely on my sonic scream to bring through the walls

This being my only plan I decided it was best to do it at midnight. Knowing that this might be my only and last chance for escaping, I ran like there was no tomorrow just wishing that I can help the others. I knew that somewhere down the line I would return and rescue all the people imprisoned. Now executing my plan, so far it was working just the way I wanted it to happen. I was so close to escaping I could smell the freedom. I was so close that I was able to taste it. With my hand on the door knob I knew I was free until, someone tried to get me from behind. Beginning to lose consciousness I drained some of his life force.

Unlike all of my other powers, I had the ability to touch anybody that I wanted to but if unaware and as a need of protection I am able to absorb the life force of a person. This would be the only power I can control of to some degree at that point but I was scared that my plan wasn't going to follow through. This would be the ONLY opportunity that I would be able to have if I ever wanted a chance to go and rescue the others and make a change. I know I only had one chance and this would be the one that counted the most in order for me to save myself and everybody. I had his one thought in my head the whole time that I'm not going to give up and that even though I felt like giving up I wasn't because it was to much of a opportunity to pass up.

Rescued By A Friend

After draining his life force I started running straight ahead. My head was hurting and my vision was getting blurry. Almost free I used my sonic scream to tear open a hole through the electric fence. Night guards shooting at me realizing about my escape came after me and one of their bullets hit me. About to black-out some one grabbed me and I woke-up to a fire and some one next to me. Barely able to get up the stranger took care of me until I was able to walk again. She taught me how to control my powers and she was like the mother I never had. We were so close that I couldn't see myself without her. She was my mother and my only friend in the world and we had each others back until the day I would never forget happened. Her turn to try and get us food, she went out into Crime Alley. A place where people kill just kill for amusement. Not realizing where she had went she was killed during a drive by shooting. I came to where she was and she died in my arms. Knowing that if I was seen I would be taken away so I left.

Losing the only friend and family I really had I went into a depression for 5 months. Realizing what the world really is like and that everything was taken away from me, I decided to try and help change the world I live in to better everyone. M&M i called her had showed me real kindness. Even though she didn't have much she still tried to help me anyways. She protected me and showed me not all people are bad. Now 17, I decided that I would prevent innocent killing wherever I go and try to help those who need it.

Coming to my rescue

Even though I have powers at this point after loosing my only friend in the world I would not use my powers as often because of the war getting worse and me risking getting caught would just make everything worse. I would protect people who needed my help but under a low profile so that they're wouldn't be much exposure so I will have a less likely chance of being caught. So I didn't tell him about me having powers as of yet. He offered to take me home and I told him, "Well your looking at it, cuz I don't have a home". This was kind of a awkward moment and he then asked if I would join him to go and get something to eat. Even though I didn't really know him I couldn't pass up the offer so we had went to a dinner to get something to eat.

Everything was going fine but something always has to happen. From the window it looked like someone was getting picked on. We didn't really know the full situation at hand but neither one of us was able to stand what was going on. He tells me, "stay here". He runs out and goes out to help. I couldn't think of me having powers and not helping even though I know I'm risking my own life but I know it was the right thing to do. So I go after him to try and help.

Discussing that with practice and seeing what I can do I can really make a difference in the world and he knew just the place that would help me do that. We ended up at the Teen Titans Tower would help me do that. We ended up at the Teen Titans Tower. I was really skeptical at first because everything was happening so fast. I never been inside anywhere before. Being the first place I would actually go into, I began to cry by just the though of it all thinking that my life could actually be good for once. Everything I could have ever wanted would be here in that tower. A safe place I could actually be in for once and also making new friends and also making them my family was very exciting. Everything was just so overwhelming but since it was getting late at night and knowing that I really didn't have a place to go back to he asked if I would come with him now and to sleep in the Tower until the next day so I could prove myself of being on their team. I trusted him, I mean after all he did try to safe my life so I went with him and I was amazed. The tower in my eyes was the most beautifulest thing I had ever seen. It was just so nice to see something worth being in. I mean their were couches food and a roof. I started crying again and gave Superboy a hug. With me and Superboy having nothing else to do we just decided to go outside and sit on the rocks, just to stay up and talk some more.

I would go and get a costume since there was nothing else for me to where at the moment while in the tower. I think we were having a great time but we never told each other our names. Superboy was like how if I was to tell him my name he would tell me his name. I told him I'm not sure what my name is. But I guess I would call myself Carolina. I told him what happened to me. How my life was and he told me he understands. I felt like I knew him forever or something. I felt a new emotion. One that I never had
before. He had been so nice and kind to me. I think I was falling in love. He told me that his name was Connor Kent and that was from here. He made me feel like I wasn't totally alone and over time we got closer.After a series of test I proved worthy to be a Titan and was now part of  the Teen Titans. Since M&M called me Lady L I decided to go by this name in memory of her.Robin, Starfire, Kid Flash, Cyborg, Raven, Beast Boy, Superboy became my new family, and me, Lady L are The Teen Titans

Our Relationship

Over time me and Connor was getting closer and closer and I didn't know how he felt about me. He's a big flirt but he always managed to have time for me and visa versa and hes always been the one I can depend on the most. I can't deny it I love him and I'm not sure what to do. I don't know if I should tell him. I never went out with anybody before and I never kissed anybody either. I'm not even sure if I can control my powers when I'm around him so that I won't absorb any of his powers because my powers are based on my emotions. I was very nervous and wasn't sure what I should do next. I don't know if he's willing to go out with me. In my room thinking of what to do Superboy comes in and tells me that Robin is in trouble and he needs our help. Thinking about Robin's rescue we leave to to go and search for the last place he was seen. Connor and I was looking around for some clues and waited for Beast Boy. Beast Boy had Robins scent and then started to track him down. We found Robin's staff and I was really worried. The others were with Robin and we couldn't get in touch with Cyborg or Kid Flash. Starfire said she was going to meet up with us when Beast Boy had stopped running. I think that Starfire likes Robin but I never asked her.

The BF's New Look

They have been getting close lately and I don't know how she's taking it. It must be hard because I know that if anything was to happen to Connor I don't know what I might do. Finally stopping we came to an area dark and misty. I didn't like this one bit and I had my guard up. Beast Boy was taken away and it was only me and Superboy left. Superboy used his vision to see where he was taken at. He went after him and the person in the fog turned into a green mist and Superboy was screaming. He's becomes vulnerable to kryptonite and I rushed over to come and saved him.

He inhale dos much that he almost died. I called Starfire and she came with Raven just in time. I told her that something took Beast and I told her that I needed to go get Superboy back to the tower. I showed her that the figure had went and took Beast and I told her that I needed to go get Superboy back to the tower. I showed her that the figure had went and they went in that direction. Back at the tower he looked like his Back at the tower he looked like his condition was getting worse. Tayler (the genius) we call her tries to see how his condition is.

He couldn't even recognize me. Absorbing the Kryptonite made me look younger. This is when I got my shape shifting abilities and when I would finally tell him how I feel. I told him that ever since we met I had always loved you. We have been through mad much together and you made me have a new experience in which I never felt such happiness. You  made me care about someone for the first time. Still weak and trying to get up. He lifts me up and puts me back in bed  and kisses me. He told me he loves me too. He said that he never had someone who understood him and that he feels the same why I do. Then from that point on we realizing that how we care about each other more than we had realized we started going out.
