Manga are canon but they ar a different universe an theefore do not count as 616 Wolverne. So it all depends on which Wolverine your talking about Ultimate, Manga, 616, AOA.

Adam Jones was born in California. It had been 30 years since any mutant or metahumans were born. There were no jheroes around since the old ones were either dead or too old to evn move.When he was 18 years old he joined the US Army. After two years in the Army he was signed up for the Special Forces. While in the Special Forces Jones went through many more battles and getting more battle tired. Then one day Jones was signed up for a new type of Super Soldier Program. The serum was a mixture of 4 super heroes certain traits. Jones was put int a tube of as he had wires connected to his brain. The wires were feeding him every language and fighting style. They then injected the serum which knocked Jones out. When he woke up he felt stronger and faster. He was told the serum had the Healing Factor of the X-Man Wolverine. The strength of the Norse God of Thunder Thor Odinson. It also possessed the Speed of The Sentry and Intelligence of Reed Richards.
