  • Nice review. I passed on this issue and probably will take a pass on the rest of Frankencastle. As a long time Punisher fan, I'm a bit disheartened about the story arc and it seems a bit too gimmicky and too far out there. The Punishermax series seems to be okay for my Punisher fix and it just happened to come out last week, so I'll be able to get ...

I believe they will be the MAX versions of the villains, so they may not fit into the continuity of the 616 Marvel universe. (just like how this Frank Castle isn't the same as the 616 Frank that is now a zombie Frankencastle thing)

Reboot.  The first issue (#1) starts off with the mobsters planning on taking out Punisher and they introduce Wilson Fisk (bodyguard to one of the bosses) as the Kingpin in order to divert Punisher's attention off of their stuff and to the made-up Kingpin. So issue #1, is basically the origin of the Kingpin starting with the crime bosses turning the Kingpin myth into a story to trick Punisher. Bullseye ...

The previous Punisher: Max title ended at issue #75.   This is a reboot of Punisher under the MAX imprint.   This is the only active Punisher title under MAX imprint.

  • Otherwise, there's a request thread in the Editing  & Tool forum that allows users to submit request for admins (or those with a lot of points) to change the picture.   However, there needs to be a good reason to change the picture. Some users change pictures as a way of gaming the system to get points rather than actually making it a better picture, that's why it requires 5,000 points.

I always thought of them as more as a Space Samurai. They have a code of honor and took an oath to either the Jedi Council or the Republic, etc.

We're nothing but white blood cells hunting the infection called crime... a sickness that sneaks in through the cracks, the way brussel sprouts sneak onto a delicious plate of macaroni and cheese.

Sure the city looks safe. Just push the brussel sprouts to one side, right?

WRONG!

No matter were you put them their vile vegetable juices corrupt the whole plate.

I’m out here to keep those stinking sprouts off the mac n’ cheese.

KEEP THEM FROM LEAVING THE STORE IN THE FIRST PLACE!

In the last issue, Deadpool sorta joined the X-Men - not that any of the X-Men wanted him to, but that they believed it was safer than letting Deadpool loose on the streets. In this issue, Deadpool tackles one of the X-Men's current problems, but opts for his own approach without warning the rest of the team what he's up to. Of course, Deadpool and the X-Men don't see eye-to-eye on the best approach. All the while, Norman Osborn is sitting back watching Deadpool's antics unfold on live television and further embarrass the X-Men. Finally, Cyclops sends in Wolverine to take care of Deadpool, but... well you'll need to see how he gets out of this one.

Overall, I think this is a well written comic book that fits in nicely with Deadpool series. It feels like it's written for the Deadpool fan's complete with chickens, roofies, and Domino inviting Deadpool back to her hotel room... only if there were more pancakes, then it could have been a perfect 5.0.
