National High School Gymnastics champion Luke Rose had it made, a free ride to any college he wanted, loyal friends, and almost any girl he wanted. His only down side was his constant use of uppers. His father, David Rose, a Neuro-Scientist, was working on a revolutionary mind-enhancement program that had consumed most of his time and all of his respect from his son. He studied what Einstiens theory that humans only use a small part of the brain. Finally he had a break through, he had invented a machine that would use precise amounts of radiation to hopefully enhance the human mind to use parts of the brain that had never been explored. Wanting to make some easy pill money for the next year at school, Luke volunteered to be one of the first to have the machine tested on him. After many arguments with his father, David Rose finally agreed to let his son become a lab rat for his experiment in a desperate attempt for his sons love. David did not know about his sons drug addiction when he told his fellow scientist about who the machine would be tested on and quickly shot down any thought of his only son being on drugs. Luke, however, was on a heavy dose of numerous uppers when he was straped into the machine. As the machine fired, David wondered what would have happend if his son had been on drugs. When the machine stopped, nothing seemed to be wrong. Luke went through some test and nothing was found different about him. Months went by, so Dr. Rose, thought there was a miscalculation in machines programming. However, Luke started to see a difference. His drugs he loved soo much started turning on him resulting in many near death experiences and his own bed in the hospital. He finally kicked his addiction without letting his father or mother catch on, which wasnt hard. Thats when the change came upon him. One day his friends wanted to end high school with a bang by skipping their last day of school and heading to the old Crick Rock Quarry that had turned into a place where cliff-diving was popular. Luke and his friends, Chris Brady, and Zach Andrews enjoyed the first day of their post-high school lives jumping off of massive cliffs and flying into the basin below them. This also happend to be the day that all the drugs had finally left Luke's system and offically made him a clean man. As the day came to an end and as the last jump rolled around, Chris dared Luke to jump blindfolded, and being the daring man that Luke had grown up to be, he quickly accepted. Once he put on the blindfold however, things changed, he started feeling funny, like he was floating and that he could run for miles, he just put it off as an intense adrenaline rush. Right before his jump he asked his friends for support, their response being, "Dont Stop Running!" and as he sprinted towards the cliffs edge, he just kept going. Knowing something was up he removed the blindfold from his eyes and saw that was dead center above the lake. He panicked and fell to the surface of the water. When he looked up at his friends their expressions had explained everything. They told him that he just kept going like he could walk on air. So they went to Dr. Rose trying to find an explination. After several test David Rose concludded that Luke had entered a section of his brain that had never been opened. His reaction to the radiation and the uppers gave him the ability to create solid platforms under his feet that only he could see and he also had a constant energy that seemed to never end. After many experiments and tests, Luke gained control of his powers and learned to create platforms on his hands that could withstand most firepower and eventually was able to project them like frisbees and will. The downside was that anyother drugs would have extreme effects on him, resulting either in the opposite affect or extreme side affects. This meant that Luke had to learn to go through the rest of his life without and pain-relievers.

Luke wasnt the only one with special ablilities, after his father and the team that worked with him found nothing wrong with Luke in the beginning, they hired new test subjects and were able to find the full power of the machine. Creating many different super beings with a wide variety of abilites. Some good, but most were corrupted with their new power and wanted to use it for their own selfish reasons. With the help of his new powers, his friends, and his fathers genius he harnessed his powers and used them to stop the other super beings from creating the world in a way that suited them.
