Jacky

Jacky was born the son of the chief of the Spider Clan, a group of ninjas living secluded from the world in the 15th Century. Unlike the rest of the clans at that time, the Spider Clan actually developed super-human powers and were the basis for many myths surrounding the ninjas of that age. However, because of this, much of feudal Japan grew wary of the Spider Clan, eventually exiling them because of their fear and mistrust. The Clan, with no feudal lords willing to hire them and facing persecution from every front had no choice but to retreat and form their own society, removing their name from history, and living peaceful lives in a quiet mountain village, until their powers piqued the interest of mysterious, ancient entities. 

These presences identified themselves as Oni and demanded  human sacrifices of each first born child to their realm in exchange for letting the village survive. Jacky's father, the chief, opted to to give into the Onis' demands instead of risking a fight with the other-worldly creatures, giving Jacky to the Oni and forever branding himself as coward in his son's eyes. The children were taken into the dimension of the Oni, for which purposes, Jacky could only fathom and would not find out anytime soon. The last one to go, Jacky tried to escape, interfering with the Oni gate through use of his powers and ultimately, accidentally shifting the destination to eternity.

In this nothingness, eons passed and Jacky originally went insane, but after a while he grew bored of that and went back to sane. Having nothing else to do, Jacky started to practice the powers of his clan and discovered that they had thus far, only scratched the surface of their capabilities. His clan used their abilities to do things like run on water, catch arrows, blend with the night and such, they didn't even understand what their powers were. The power to control the very fabric of space/time flowed through the veins of every Spider Clan ninja and Jacky had all the time he needed to bring about his potential, learning ability after ability until eventually learning the ability to slip between space, time, and dimensions at will. 

After obtaining this ability Jacky's first impulse was to travel back to when he was sacrificed to the Oni, preventing eons of torture, but he realized that then he wouldn't have his powers, and he had some things he wanted to do now. Instead Jacky first sought revenge, he found out that the Oni returned every century to collect the first-borns and his father had started the tradition of obeying them, deteriorating the once mighty and proud Spider Clan into a shadow of it's formal self, something Jacky intended to change. Jacky traveled back to after he had just been sacrificed, discovering that his father didn't even shed a tear made it that much easier to replace his heart with a grenade Jacky held in his hand. Jacky relished the look on his father's face as he stared at his still-beating heart in Jacky's hand before exploding, showering the rest of the crowd in blood, guts, and excrement. Jacky then told the human-coated clan his name and declared himself the new chief, easily dealing with any who opposed for it was like matching sticks and stones against a nuke.

After seizing control of his clan, Jacky became the leader that it had always needed, teaching them fractions of his abilities, for that was all they could learn in their lifetimes, and using his studies of the most successful nations of Earth and technology to mold his clan into possibly the most powerful entity on earth, but no one knew it. He had his clan stay "behind the scenes" manipulating events for their own gain and, at times, steering history to keep it alive, balancing out the good and the evil so that Earth would always remain exciting. Jacky himself delegated his responsibilities to a group of people he took out of space/time to somewhere/when he called "Sanctuary". Here/Now, he and his delegates could keep tabs on Earth, able to see events unfolding any-when or where they so chose. Jacky, growing increasingly disinterested in the goings-on of the world, simply had fun, he couldn't care less about the state of things and became an alcoholic, traveling the Earth and doing whatever he wanted.

Then The Keeper came to town. Jacky was sipping a margarita on his favorite each, anywhen, anywhere, when the skies turned dark, a beam of light landing on Jacky and a voice spoke: 

"I am the Keeper, get up, you have work to do."

Jacky:"Fck you"

Jacky tried to transport himself away from the annoyance but was stuck, his powers weren't working.

Keeper: "You are now under my control, do as I say or your clan will die"

Jacky was transported to the Sanctuary and saw as his delegates were slain, their bodies exploding, reminiscent of his father's death. If there was anything Jacky cared about, it was his clan.

"Stop!" he said as the sanctuary let him see hundreds more of his clan-mates die the same way.

"Then agree to serve me unquestioningly"

"Fine... fine"

From then on Jacky was sent on missions, meaning of which he could not understand nor did he question. He was visited by The Keeper at random times relative to him and the missions ranged from assassinations to telling a random fellow a few words and then vanishing. Jacky tried to see what effects these actions would have down the line, but he was somehow blocked by the Keeper. In order to complete these missions Jacky had to get together more clan members and bring them to the sanctuary. He realized that it would be foolish to limit his membership to only his clan, so he scoured the globe to find the best of the best. To be continued...

Powers: Jacky has spent eons honing his powers of time and space manipulation granting him a myriad of abilities. These abilities include increasing or decreasing space between objects or the space of an object allowing him to make projectiles "faster" or "slower" since they have more or less space to travel through or increasing his "speed" by decreasing the space between himself and his destination. By altering the space an object occupies he can compress or loosen said object. Jacky uses this ability with his imagination but its most common uses include walking on water and air (with concentration), crushing soft objects and exploding certain objects. Jacky can also re-direct space, sometimes reversing it to send projectiles back at the ones who sent them or turning opponents around to disorient them, sometimes redirecting light to grant invisibility. Jacky can also switch space thereby replacing objects with other objects, this could include anything from replacing objects on someone's person with explosives (he saves the heart-replacement and other insta-kills for special opponents) to replacing himself with with objects to avoid attacks sometimes replacing himself with his opponent. Replacement is Jacky's only form of instant transportation, otherwise he can create wormholes between two points of space/time, these wormholes can be as large as cities or as small as atoms if Jacky concentrates extremely hard. Jacky has stashed any object he could possibly need but not carry in the Sanctuary and can retrieve them via these wormholes. Onto Jacky's time manipulation abilities, Jacky can increase or decrease the time relative to an object. Using this ability on himself, he can experience more time per second thereby making all other objects appear to be going in slow motion. Jacky can also decrease or increase the time between separate events like the swings of a sword or the beats of a heart. Jacky can alter the way someone experiences time, letting himself continually see one second in the future or forcing certain enemies to see one second in the past. Jacky can create a zone of different time around any object, slowing all objects that come within this zone to a halt or speeding them up at his discretion. Jacky can also speed up the aging process in any object he touches thereby possibly aging enemies to teach or turning solid objects to dust, or he could slow down and even stop and reverse the aging process as he does with himself and those he brings to the Sanctuary. These are not all of Jacky's abilities with space/time (I'll think of more) but they are the ones he uses most often.

Equipment/Skills: Jacky honed more than his powers in his eons of training, he also practiced martial arts with future versions of himself and the art of the katana with his personal sword that he managed to keep as he was being sacrificed. After exiting eternity, Jacky has traveled through-out most of earth and its various periods of time, experiencing first-hand events people had only heard about, as a result, Jacky knows almost everything there is to know about the Earth and the events and when and where they occur/ed. Also, Jacky's travel to the future has brought him into contact with very advanced technology which he stows in the Sanctuary, should he ever choose to use it. Jacky's primary weapon is his Blade of Displacement. Through eons of practice, Jacky was able to permanently imbue his sword with his powers, as a result, the blade of his sword is actually another point in time/space, and anything Jacky "slices" with it get transported to that point of time/space. As such, his sword is technically not sharp but can slice his targets apart by simply tele-porting their flesh, metal, whatever to another place/time. Jacky's second most used weapon are his Crystal Bombs. To make these Jacky takes chunks of diamond and uses his powers to compress the space they occupy and crush them to the size of hand grenades, he then increases the space in the middle of the diamond chunk to make a hollow sphere of extremely compressed diamond. Finally, Jacky brings a large chunk of a White Dwarf to a safe place (shielding himself with his powers) and compresses it until it can fit inside the diamond sphere, leaving space between the white dwarf matter and the diamond container to prevent melting. Jacky can throw or otherwise transport these Crystal Bombs near his opponents and release them, thereby creating an explosion of flying diamond and dwarf heat capable of completely shredding areas the size of apartment buildings.
