Birds of Prey #127
I don't like the art, but the Calculator was really awesome in this issue. Fusing with Kilg%re was a great idea. For a moment, I though he had figured out who Oracle was, but I guess not. The Silicone Syndicate was a really short lived team. The Gizmos have had it kind of rough recently. And what was Manhunter talking about with Visionary, and since I missed that issue, who is Visionary anyway?
The Outsiders #15
I bet it would have been good. But the store forgot to hold it for me, even though I signed up last month. I'll keep count on how many more they forget to hold, and post them here. So far since I started this count? 1!
Robin #183
Didn't Lady Shiva used to be a little more formidable? The old Lady Shiva wouldn't have been tricked by poisoned chocolate. I was kind of hoping for an appearance by the Crime Doctor's daughter. The short confrontation between Anarky I and Anarky II was interesting. I was surprised by the short life of the Robin sign.
Tiny Titans #13
All the animals were adorable. I especially liked the Atom's dog. Except it wasn't really the Atom's dog, it was Crumb and Dot's. Whoever they are. I was surprised by the absence of some pets from former issues. The punishment was the same as when the penguins were freed, I think. I liked the Brainiac Club. Tiny Titans is great.
Vigilante #3
I liked the scene at Adrien Chase's grave, but the rest of the book was kind of slow. Even though things were happening, there was very little actual plot.
I also picked up: Justice League: A New Beginning
This is actually out of print, but it was still at the store. They recently reprinted it, the exact same stories, the exact same cover, retitled it Justice League International vol 1, and made it five dollars more expensive. They accidentally reprinted one chapter so it appeared twice in the book. I wonder what differences there are in the reprinted version. Maybe better quality paper. Good story though.
More to come!
