The Eternal is a race all his own, not Homo Sapiens Sapiens nor Homo Superior, not even Homo Magi or Homo Supreme. Rather he is Homo Immortalis, meaning Immortal Human, he claims to be the only member of this species and even he does not know his origins.

He has the ability to become whosoever he kills, literally taking on their form and their every capability, while still retaining his morality and knowledge.

He has killed countless beings but when he dies in their form he cannot take it on again, so after dying countless times he is left with a very limited amount of forms.
