I think what I like about the Exiles is each issue is basically a giant What If? You get to see how the characters we all know and love can be so different. Like the current issues. Whoa. What the heck happened to Gambit? He's basically the Submariner. Weird stuff. What is also kind of cool is the team members are vulnerable. No one is really safe. Any member can die on any adventure. It's good knowing that at any time you can have the rug pulled out from under you. Sort of makes you appreciate them as you read about them. I was worried waaaaay back early on that this series wouldn't last. It was nice seeing them reach issue 100 (I really wish they kept that numbering system rather than start over).
