Wow. . . What's next?!

All I can say after reading the first issue is "WHAT NEXT?!!!" There is going to be a ton that has to be explained within only 7 more issues. I can't wait to see how they do it!

I am not one for spoilers, so I am going to be blunt. . . I read the first couple of panels and I was already going "Wha... really? that blows my mind!" After the civil war, it is pretty cool to see heroes united again, and to think that they are just going to tear each other apart all over again because no one trusts each other now. And don't you just love cliff-hanger endings?

My friend came to me in school and gave me his copy of Secret Invasion and said that I HAD to read it. . . I opened it and couldn't close it until I finished.

The art style is great. The cover art gives off an eerie feel, adding a certain creepiness to it, and the inside art gives you that familiar Marvel comic feel and that's always good too.

I was also interested in finding out that this story is 3 years in the making, so what we have just read now, Marvel is pointing and laughing at us going "We already knew that!"

I am just hoping not to be disappointed by the ending. Y'know, hopefully not something that will make me stop reading Marvel comics forever, fingers crossed. Issue #1 is an excellent start to the series and I HIGHLY recommend this read.

I got this comic because I am a huge Teen Titans fan and I gotta say, it was totally worth it. The book just consists of a collection of short comics drawn in a cute little childish animation style. The humor in the book is very well done too. The characteristics of each of the Titans actually follows the personalities of little children, but also how they act in the other comic book series. I found myself reading and then laughung out loud in a "Ha Ha, I remember doing that when I was little" sort of way. It is definately worth getting if you are just looking for something to laugh about. Although it is short, it is very funny and will keep you entertained.

This is just the first issue, it has the potential to get better as the special continues. Most series are not fast paced right at the beginning. This one will just need to pick up faster because it is only 5 issues long . . .

I liked the art style in it. The more cartoonish look gave it a more friendly feeling, that is until the discomfort of the storyline kicks in with Raven just trying to fit in and all. The art did admittingly take a little while to get use to at first, but once I got use to it, I really enjoyed it.

Another thing I liked about the issue was that it kind of picks up right from the Teen Titan's comic book series. When I read the issue where she said that she was going to start school, I didn't think it was gonna go any further than that, but then there is this series and also the new "Titans" series shows her in school as well.

All in all, the first issue was a good read and I am betting on the second issue to be even better.
