First Mutation

Danny Cassidy was the son of a Presbyterian minister and lived a completely normal life until his mutant abilities manifested at the age of 15. He woke up one morning and was shocked to realize that his skin had turned green and had grown scales. He was unnerved by his appearance at first but learned to love his new abilities. He knew he wouldn't fit in at school, so his parents sent him off to the Xavier Institute.

Xavier Institute

Danny was an outgoing person and quickly made friends with everyone despite his appearance. He joined the Hellions training squad where he adopted the code name Chameleon. He developed a crush on another girl with an odd appearance, Cessily Kincaid,Mercury. He kept the crush quiet between himself and his best friend and roommate, Santo Vacarro, a.k.a. Rockslide. Mercury did not return the crush , as she had a crush on Wither. After the Hellions won the Field Day competition the squad went on a summer vacation to Hellion's house in California where they met the Kingmaker who granted Danny the wish of becoming a full fledged X-Man. When the Hellions decided to back out of the deal, he and the Hellions defeated the kingmaker. Chameleon was one of only 27 students who retained their powers after M-Day. After M-Day all the students were plaaced in an all out brawl and Danny, along with the remaining Hellions and 2 New Mutants, earned the right to become X-men. When a bus full of depowered mutants was destroyed by one of Stryker's purifyers, Danny lost his good freind and teammate Tag, Brian Cruz. When Stryker attacked the school, Chameleon fought with Rockslide and Mercury to defeat the intruders. Later, Danny and the New X-men defeated Nimrod, and Danny's best friend Santo, was nearly killed until Hellion put him back together. Chameleon and rockslide were later sent to Limbo and Danny's arm was severed in battle, but thanks to his reptilian features and healing factor it immediately grew back. Rockslide and Danny got out of Limbo and now remain at the Xavier institute.

Marriage

Danny attended the school for six years, eventually graduating with a Ph.D in Philosophy, and he was welcomed as the new teacher at the school. He also taught young students in the way of espionage and how to remain undetected. One day, during his last year as a student, Danny finally told Cessily Kincaid, Mercury, how he felt about her. From then on, their relationship as "just friends" changed, and the two fell in love. A year later they were married, Danny's father performing the service. Because of Cessily's strange physiology, she could not have children. The two decided to adopt a young, abandoned mutant, who was born with the appearance similar to a wolf. They named him after Danny's good friend, Scott Wolfman.

Secondary Mutation

A few months after the couple adopted Scott, Danny started feeling strange. He was seeing things more clearly and his sense of smell had greatly increased. More visible signs changed a few days later when his teeth were starting to get sharper. It all changed one day when his scales became much more prominent, no longer just covering his arms and legs, but his entire body and his skin had become much tougher, his eyes were more like slits, his nose had became elongated, like that of a lizard, he no longer had ears, the spikes on his head became three long ridges, and he had grown a tail. His wife was shocked when she found him curled up in a ball in the bathroom in his new form. Danny soon learned that this new form gave him many new abilities, such as: Super Strength, even more enhanced senses including nightvision, large retractable claws, and a tail that could support more than three times his body weight

League of Shadows

Danny became bitter and depressed, he looked less human than ever now. He became so depressed that he got his family together and they left the institute. They looked for a place that would accept them, they found the League of Shadows. The LoS were a group of assasins and thieves led by a man named Gambler. Because of Danny's stealth abilities, he was readily accepted into the group as a thief. The depression had caused Danny to question his morality and he abandoned the title of Hero and became an Anti-Hero. He found the perfect person to be his new Mentor... Darkchild

The 4 Guardians

When Gambler came back from the dead with Darkchild, they were no longer human. They had been corrupted by Satan. Gambler, DC, D-Man, and Final Arrow had become the 4 Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Danny woke up in the middle of the night from a vision from God. He would be one of the 4 Guardians who would protect the Earth. Dragon wings sprouted from his back and he became an angelic being. He raced to the battleground of Washington DC, but he was too late. DC, then called War, had killed Cessily and Scott, as they were in Washington at the time. Danny was able to turn Darkchild back into his normal self and the incident was over. But the death of his family caused Danny to fall further into depression. Darkchild was the only person who accepted him

Death of Darkchild

Darkchild had taught Danny everything he knew about life and combat. DC had become the only family he had left. For months he trained as DC's apprentice and became DC's adopted son. In the final days of his training, DC administered one final test, a combat test between the two of them. DC left Danny unconcious, but transferred his power to him. Danny now had the power to shoot darkness blasts. In the Guild Wars DC was killed in the final Battle. Danny again had lost his family.

Kiara Sullivan

They met after the death of Darkchild. She was a mysterious woman with long black, curly hair. There was an aura about her that drew the two together. They became close, forging a brother/sister relationship. Though her alignment changed, their relationship didn't. She was always there for him, and accepted him for who he was.

It all came together one day.... After mindlessly killing a man on the street, Danny ran to Kiara, looking for answers and hope. There, in that cottage full of all their friends, the truth was revealed.

"In legends, one story remained the same. It was the story of the half angel, half demon woman named Kiara Sullivan. It started nearly 2 and a half decades ago. Longing for someone to have a connection to, Kiara petitioned Lucifer himself for help She pleaded to him for someone that would always be with her, someone that wouldn’t die, like Eve, the wife of Adam, had done before.

And so it happened, thousands of years ago he was created. His mind was altered by Kiara to try and protect him from his own evil nature. He lost all memories of his past, and was given new ones. The beast was trained for years by the won known as Darkchild, becoming more powerful everyday. His friendship with the one with the appearance of a wolf grew.

After the death of Darkchild, he met with the one responsible for his creation, Kiara Sullivan. But the evil inside of him was there from birth, and he tried his best to contain it as long as he could, praying that he would not succumb to it.

It was part of his destiny, and the hero known as Chameleone had to fulfill it."

It was more. His "sister" Kiara, was really more. She was his mother, and her lover, Virgil, was his father. He had been alive for thousands of years. Everything he knew was a lie. His appearance was created by Kiara to make him think he was a mutant. this realization caused the demon inside Danny to be released. He became a massive, demonic dragon. It wasn't until Cryo-Wolf, Paragon, Last Arrow, the resurrected Darkchild, Kain, and Kiara intervened that he was stopped. He reverted back to an appearance that was a hybrid of his original appearance and the dragon.

Powers

His demonic nature allowed him to become the dragon when he wanted, wings, a more dragon appearance, the ability to breathe fire, all his original abilities and is scales become harder, providing an armor against attacks.
