Don't let the cover fool you. This issue reeks of bad@#$ness. I respect everyone's right to their own opinion, but was a little taken aback by the rating this issue had when i first checked (a 1.8avg). Well of course I have a bias due to my love for Morrison's writing and the character Batman, but that doesn't mean you the reader should take my word for it. However despite my views i feel that Batman and Robin #6 was a very solid issue. of course the action and art was well done, but it was more than that. the lesson that i think can be summed up from this whole story arc is even when monsters like the red hood are faced with an greater evil like Flamingo, we the viewers can find a strong common ground with tragic characters like Jason Todd and Sasha (Scarlet). For the first time in a long time it's almost heartbreaking to see someone so far gone like Jason stand up to protect his partner Scarlet from a monster like Flamingo. That was one of the parts of this issue that really struck home with me. It is also interesting to see a small brotherhood bond form between Dick and Damien, not in the sense that they are best buds but the slow grind of them towards them living up to what Batman and Robin are. while there are awesome action scenes with Batman and Robin, It seemed that this issue was centered more around Jason and Scarlets character. The last point of this issue that i liked which i wanted to discuss was the talk between Jason and Dick at the end. With respects to Alan Moore's Killing Joke scene with Batman and Joker, I felt the relationship between Bruce and the Joker in the killing joke mirrors that of Dick and Jason.  What further emphisized the tragedy of jason's character was the fact that after he is able to share his thoughts and feelings, he is almost instantly blinded by a fit of madness and rage. I really couldn't have asked more from a Batman Issue Morrison and Tan do a wonderful job. I guess I would like to see the return of Scarlet and some concistence with the artist in the future.

    Hmm...I don't know what it was about this issue that i just didn't find appealing. The Art was good, so i suppose it had to be something with the story. I guess i was just disappointed that this book chose the path to follow the normal cliche. So we get Psylocke who is taking her original body back to Japan to bury it. Japan of all places i have no idea why. Lo and behold Betsy gets ambushed by the most cliched thing you could ever get ambushed by in Japan. Yep thats right Hand Ninjas. Who are working for the over cliched evil Japanese buisnessman or Warlord who for some reason wants to destroy Betsy's already dead body for no other apparent reason other than to be a total dick. By the way The Hand is supposed to be lead by Daredevil right? So i fail to see what either Matt or the Hand would gain to see the destruction of a corpse and a pissed off katana wielding white woman in an asian woman's body on a rampage for revenge. I already saw the same premise in Kill Bill.

    If you have made the decision to hold off or not read Ultimate Spider Man; you defenitly are missing out. To be honest I have not been the biggest fan of the ultimate universe...After the "Earth Shattering" Ultimatum, that has begun to change. while I have not been much into the Ultimate Universe to determine whether or not this is an entirely different direction, I can say titles such as this one and Ultimate Avengers do not disappoint. One thing that I am totally digging from this comic is the fact that Mysterio is being depicted as a total Bad@$%. Plus the dude in the cloak is interesting as well. if you are expecting a n awesome brawl like i was after reading about the issue on Marvel's website, you might not get what you thought... however that was not the only thing that made this issue great, the dialogue too between the main cast was well done, especially when the web head took on a certain gray behemoth, i couldn't help but smile at some of the comments.

The title of the review says it all. I was so anxious to get my hands on this issue, and i read it and it didn't disapoint. Man, where to begin, first off some insane stuff is going down in Gotham city, The Black Mask is brainwashing civilians as shock troops! Black mask is also gathering an evil cabal of scientific genuises for some yet to be revealed nefarious scheme. However the highlight of this issue for me was the return of The Falcone crime family, led by none other than Mario Falcone the last heir in the family of crime. I totally did not see that coming. I have read the Long Holloween and The Dark Victory, and both were supurb! I was blown away and pleased with the fact that aspects of thoses stories have just taken a big part in the current story arc. I was worried with many of the recent issues in the series, mainly because it was hard for me to really get into with just Dick running around taking gotham back from the underworld, but i think what helped a lot to really draw me into the seriousness of the situation was the fact that the underworld is shown in this issue stepping up their game more so than before, through creating their own think tanks of evil masterminds or using innocents as soldiers. The return of the down and out mob which was practically wiped out in the Dark victory stroy arc is for myself the highlight of the issue, I am totally digging the direction Batman is going, Tony Daniel and Sandu Florea weave a magnificant stroy, totally staying up to date on this title! Also I had to do a double take, Is the Black Mask a woman?!?!?!!?!?

Alright there are a couple of things that i need to get off my chest. First i cannot help but feel a little taken aback by the concept here, cause it reminds me of another story currently going on having to do with the dead...cough...cough...blackest night; however don't get me wrong, i totally dug this issue. I initially didn't expect much from Necrosha, however I eventually caved in and bought this issue, and i must say my money was well spent. Clayton Crain's art fits the mood of the story perfectly, and Yost's writing left me wanting more! usually long dead characters that miraculously reapear really bother me...cough...moses magnum, but in this case it's AOK beacuse they are zombie cyborg hybrids!!!! and we can all use a little more zombie cyborg hybrids in our lives right? defenitly give this issue a shot, most definatly if you are a fan of any X men related character.heck everyone should just read this for the zombie cyborg hybrids alone, you might find some old favorites. And why the heck is Rogue and Magik on the cover, they look totally awesome, but they aren't even in the issue?!?!?!

Okay, I'm gonna be honest, I have never read the original clone saga. However after viewing G-Man's review i have the understanding that this issue is the beginning of a updated and condensed version of what was described as a very long story arc. Now before i get into the grade of this comic, i want to say that i have sort have stopped picking up the Amazing Spiderman at my local comic store, on the basis that everything after the amazing story arc of New Ways To Die, has seemed some what repetitive. In the sense that nothing seemed new in Pete's life. Like always he's still struggling with the rent, and once again it seems he must now find a way to possibly get back with MJ? However what i liked about this issue is that it has offered me a chance to step out of the current story arc for a bit, until it takes ol pete in a new fresh direction. overall i was really drawn to the amazing cover by Pasqual Ferry, and overall the interior art was able to keep me going and wanting more. like i said i havn't read the original clone saga, yet this story made me want more. I definitly hope that the possibility of a return of Ben Reilly is in the works, cause i am a fan. i highly suggest this comic for any reader, whether a hardecore spidy fan or like me; someone who is taking a short break from the current story, this is a defenite must have.

 the better part of this issue is comprised of Flashbacks, concerning the struggles of the newly appointed Batman Dick Grayson. Batman defiantly has his hands full. Both with the new Robin Damian, and  his struggle to fill the shoes that Bruce has left. add the immediate threat from a band of super human carnival performers and you've got a recipe for disaster. I felt that the story worked well in such that it was able to make me question Dick's ability to fill the role of Batman (a good example is the deaths of several policemen and a key witness) I think it's safe to say that everything is going to hell for Dick. Don't get me wrong! I have beleive Dick is a great Batman. however what concerns me is his thought process doesn't quite seem to be that of Bruce's. While there is no question in my mind that Dick can handle himself physically as the Bat, he seems to lack the detective skills and precise planning Bruce had. granted those are things that come from time and expirience, it was those skills that helped create such glorious stories such as the Long Holloween, The Dark victory, and Broken City just to name a few. While it is still early in the came to pass any judgement upon Dick, I do feel that some aspects of the Bat should not be forgotten (like being the world's greatest detective). In terms of issue number 2 there wasn't really anything more I could've asked for. Morrison's writting continues to take the reader deep into the heart of Gothom City, and Quitely's Art demands to be seen! Hold on people, because things are just getting started!

Let me just begin by letting you know that my review may seem a bit too positive, partly due to the fact that i am a very big fan of both Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely. If you have been following the recent news about the caped crusader, you will most likely know that this story is set right after the hit or miss "Battle for the Cowl"; as well as the well received "What ever happened to the Caped Crusader". To simply cut to the point, Batman and Robin was able to get me wanting more after i finished it. While i am not entirely sure where Morrison is going, i am ready and willing to follow. Some interesting things about the new Batman and Robin is that the dynamic duo face off against a whole new cast of villains. I suppose while i was at first a little disappointed that the duo's first opponent wouldn't be a legendary rogue such as The Joker, Two Face, or Raas al Guul, my frustration was gone after reading the first page. I applaud Morrison for starting the Batman on a fresh path, I also enjoyed Quitely's art which is like candy for the eyes. This is the beggining of a new Era people, Gothom City Is a different place now; One thing for sure is there will always be a Batman to protect it.

Madman #15. What can I say? well I'm hooked! Last year i tried to get into the madman series, however it was proving to be extremely difficult, because the stories that i read were very abstract. however, this issue changed all of that for me. the story was very easy to get into. and the art was very good. I would say that this issue is a very good place to start if you have not already gotten into the world of madman. One particular thing i enjoyed a whole lot was the cover, it reminded me of David Bowie. I know i am gonna pick up the next issue of Madman for sure. If you are looking for something different, i would highly suggest this issue, or pick up some of Mike Allred's  other works.

To start I am a huge Spider man fan, I have been enjoying the ASM ever since i got back into the title back when New Ways To Die, which i highly suggest you read if you have not already. anyways i felt that the tension from where the last issue left off really fizzed out in this issue. Now get me wrong, i love what the current writers have been doing, likewise John Romita Jr.'s art has grown on me as well, but to tell you the truth i just wasn't feeling it in this issue. I mean it just felt like everything in this issue has been done already, Spiderman gets arrested, Spiderman goes to Ryker's, Spiderman is about to get his mask removed in an interrogation scene, Super Awesome Lawyeer Man Matt Murdock busts in to save the day and prevent another Civil Warish unmasking! (cause we wouldn't want that), Spiderman is put on trial, meanwhile in the Subplot officer Vin is arrested   nd sent to the same prison as Spiderman, back in prison Spidy finds out Vin is in the same jail, so he sets out to protect him from inmates who just want to show Vin the buissness end of there shankin tool, the story ends with Spidy standin up to the bullys...i mean doesn't it just feel that it;s been done before? I certainly hope that these small showers are leading to a looming storm where all hell breaks loose, like in New Ways To Die. all in all i don't think it wasn't to bad, but rather Ok despite my criticism. i givez it 3/5 stars
