Born, originally as the incubation chamber for a parasite destined to corrupt the world, Will Hope (he chose his own name at the age of five) has since denied death, defied his fate, and has become a savior of the highest order.
Powers: "Generally Enhanced Physiology" Will's body is locked in an endless war of counter-adaptation with the parasite within his body. About every year, Will's body goes through a cycle; this cycle varies in intensity but every winter the parasite within Will's body reaches its peak, almost consuming all of his body and leaving Will in a state of pain and weakness. However, every Spring Will's body rejuvenates itself, gradually getting stronger and stronger until it reaches its peak in mid-summer. Each year Will's body comes back stronger than it was the previous year since it adapts to the parasite (think of your muscles coming back stronger after a good exercise destroys them). So, Will started off weaker than a regular human, sub-human if you will, but through years of counter-adaptation Will's body has passed into the superhuman range ) and gets stronger every passing year. However, Will's body's enhancements are not limited to his strength, he regularly rebuilds every tissue, every system, every eyeball stronger than it was before. As such, anything a human can do, Will can do better: he's stronger, faster, more agile, more durable, has more endurance, can think faster, can think smarter, has better hand-eye-coordination, has enhanced senses, has an enhanced healing factor, has better balance, has better reflexes, his ligaments can stretch farther, anything you can think of, his body is better at it.
"Skills/Limited Telepathy/Telekinesis" Will has spent much of his life traveling around the world and through-out most of the known galaxy and, as his ability to learn increased, amassed hundreds, maybe thousands, of skills. He has been trained by everything from Shaolin monks to Predators in the ways of combat and other useful skills and, through training by a telepathic master, has even unlocked the latent abilities of all humans (at least in my universe) of telepathy and telekinesis (although at a much smaller scale than most mutant tele-paths/tele-kinetics).
"Power Suit" Having eventually amassed a wealth of favors through-out Earth and ,later, the Galaxy, Will used these favors to create a suit of armor which uses the properties of Sleese (a mineral that can serve as an energy source that never runs out, but can only produce a certain amount at a time in my universe) to create a variety of effects. These effects include a perpetual force shield against physical objects (think about magnets repelling) which covers the body (like shields in Halo) and can be expanded and can barely deflect indirect blows from Superman if fully powered, however, the force shield only repels physical objects, energy attacks and magic can still get through and also, a jet-pack with limitless fuel (slower but more agile than Iron Man). Other features of Will's power suit include grappling shots which use the same principle in Spidey's ability to stick to walls, lightning shooters, concussion cannons, which fire concussive beams similar to cyclops but not colored, "boom dots" which are grenade-like items that Will can set to attach to surfaces, float in mid-air, and detonate at will, and a shield which is nigh indestructible and has a concussion edge which adds more force to its hits and ricochets among other little gadgets.
"Fission Blade" Through an ordeal involving ancient entities and dying at least once Will has become the wielder of the fabled Fission Blade. The "Fission" refers to the blades defining feature: due to an unknown technology seemingly thousands of years ahead of our own, the blade is able to produce an edge of an unidentifiable energy which is capable of inducing the fission process in molecules. In short, the edge can explode any matter it touches. The kickback from the exploding molecules is substantial, and here is where the rest of the blade comes in. Using technology on the same level of the "edge", the blade weakens the time-space fabric around itself and its wielder, allowing Will and the blade to move throughout space, and to a degree time, easily once the blade is unsheathed (the sheathe has technology that cancels the effect). In addition, the only way to destroy the blade is to use something from without this dimension (like Uru).
Note: Will is a very defensive fighter, preferring to reason with his opponents even after the battle has begun and only killing when it can't be avoided. As such, he rarely uses his more offensive abilities (like his lightning shooters and fission blade) unless he cannot defeat his opponent without them. He usually fights by using his armor's boosters, grappling hooks, force shield, shield, and enhanced reflexes to stay alive , while using his reasoning, shield, "boom dots" (they produce pure concussive force with no shrapnel), concussion cannons, martial prowess, and smarts to get make his opponents stop fighting, one way or another, however, Will focuses on defense, preferring to outlast or simply survive longer than his opponent(s).
2nd Note: Will only wears his armor when he knows there is a battle approaching. Normally, he wears casual clothes, but packs guns, "boom dots", and his Fission Blade in case a fight breaks out.
