Yeah, big let down. (I was hoping for Banshee.)

There are a bunch of people running around the 'net saying "but it's a set up issue!".

But it's issue #500. It's supposed to be a "Landmark issue". And compared to real set -up issues, like X-Men Vol. 2 #1, it still blows.

Aren't they? If it had been a celebration of X-men past and present, it might have been good.

The Alex Ross one is quite lovely tho' . I actually got the poster of that one.

Terry Dodson, they switched off "chapters" throughout the book.

Yeah. Not one of Logan's more brilliant moments.

It's pretty badpixelized said: "Oh Pania...all i saw was the last sentence and i'm so not wanting to read it" I would hate to bias anyone before they have had a chance to read it themselves and make up their own minds...but this was pretty bad. If you can get away with reading it in the store, I suggest doing so.

About the only good thing is that it did set up a couple story lines for the future.

    Full of fail.

We'll skip Greg Land's tracing, which he even used the same figures twice within this issue. Emma is a cheerleader from San Dimas and Storm is apparently an amputee.

First of all, IF Magneto and the High Evolutionary are trying to undo the effects of M-Day (which tantalizingly not said for sure, but then given what Magneto said it certainly sounded like it), why did they need to hide what they were doing? Beast contacted Wyndham in Endangered Species to get help correcting M-Day. Wouldn’t the X-men want to assist them? ...

Guys, this is an all ages site. There is no "Are you 18 yet" button before you enter here.

If you want to look at comic book porn, there are plenty of places to do so, entire websites.

But this is not the place to do that.

And just to shock you all...

    We're not all guys here!

I know, it's a completely alien concept, but there are female comic book fans.

I'm a Marvel person, so I'll leave that to Wildstorm and DC people.

Yes. Obi Wan Kenobi! said: "Buckshot said: "I'm deleting them now, but you guys should still be able to. Go to edit the image and then unselect it from whatever gallery it's in. Do you have that option?
    " oh alright got em...

but you guys talking about the one's she's wit that dolphin? is that really considered porn? it's just her butt
    " Yes.

Basically, if it something you would find in Penthouse, it's porn.

My Real Life

I am a student of Martime History. Marvel and Vertigo fan for 21 years.

My Super Life

Born in Wellington, New Zealand, Jennifer Shea's childhood was near horrific, being abused by an alcoholic mother, but after an attack that nearly took her life she was sent to be raised by her paternal grandparents on the coast of the South Island. Through a lot of trials, including being incarcerated in a mental hostipal in Sydney after tracking down her mom and attacking her, she eventually recovers and becomes a success. She lives and teaches in Wellington. Holds a Ph.D.s in archeology and anthropology, specializing in underwater archaeology.

She has been approached by both Prof. X and Magneto to join their causes but initially turned them both down, feeling that mutants would best gain acceptance by living "normal" lives openly. She also felt there are better things she could do with her powers than beating up supervillains, such as saving lives or helping the environment. However, as the conflict escalates she frequently finds herself drawn into it whether she likes it or not.

No one knows what it's like to feel these feelings, like I do, and I blame you! No one bites back as hard on their anger. None of my pain and woe can show through. And no one knows what's its like to be hated, to be fated to telling only lies.

Most of the maritime book I read lean toward historical non-fiction and Jane's ship manuals.I'm mostly an fan of submarines and 19th century naval history.I'll be on the look-out for Aubrey-Maturin books. They sounds familiar but I'm drawing a blank.Speaking of Firefly, did you happen to catch Nathan Fillion's new series yesterday?
