Question:
What in the blue hell, would Hulk do to defeat Eternity/Infinity, Galactus, Living Tribunal, or Spectre?? Or said another way, how would he defeat beings who could cause him to cease to exist just by thinking about it?
Answer:
Thinking the Hulk out of existence would obviously only enrage him to a point he has never been before. He would get so pissed that he would pummel himself back into existence, then proceed to get more and more angry so that he will grow as large as any such opponent. How could he possible grow bigger than an entity such as any of the previously mentioned (some of which size is not even a real aspect of their being), you ask? Simple: Hulk will continue punching himself into existence every time they destroy him, and then punch himself in the face (and balls, naturally) to make himself angry enough to expand to the point where he, quite literally, becomes reality as we know it. At that point it is a simple matter of punching any such omnipotent opponent until they admit that they don't exist creating a paradox and imploding all reality. Then, since there is nothing left, Hulk can punch himself back into existence (in both the face and balls again, of course) which would create a big bang fashioning the universe in his own image. You thought Planet Hulk was a good read? Try Reality: Hulk. Hulk punches his own balls and face until he quite literally becomes Eternity, Infinity, the Living Tribunal, God, and most importantly Gnort.

What do you think of the Comic Vine redesign?
I wanted to wait a little while before answering. I have had the time to look around and play with the various features. Also at this point many of the bugs are worked out to the point where things are running much faster than when 2.0 was first launched (understandably).
At least one person has used the word "streamlined" to describe the new look and feel, and I wholeheartedly agree. Everything feels new, shiny, and smooth. I find that the new interface will make working on the encyclopedia much faster and much more pleasing. I can't say enough how spectacular you guys have done on the relaunch. I hope that we continue to see more awesome features in the future.

Just finished the last of my grading today. Boy that feels good. The entire summer is on the horizon and all I have to do is research until the fall.

Aaah, spring. That magical time again. Classes are in session. The campus is beautiful, weather some times sunny, but mostly spring showers. Getting to wear a light jacket again. Strolling to my classes, getting to see dozens of pictures of dead fetuses during a protest.
Yup, that last line is certainly correct. Why is it that people go to college and instantly become stupider just by setting foot on the campus? I have had more of my fill of whining 18 year old children that, for the first time out of mommy and daddy's basement, decide that they are going to adopt every damned cause they come across and, damn it, they are going to make a difference!
You know, I don't particularly mind people having issues to stand up for. I have a few myself. (Please, ask me about the FairTax sometime.) What bothers me is when people take their respective issues at heart. Believing in a cause is one thing. Helping a cause is another. Both are great. I do, however, find resorting to shock tactics deplorable. These people seem to come around every spring intending to shock the youth of America into being as appalled by abortion as they are.
Please don't bother to comment one way or the other about your stance on abortion. Know that I simply do not care, because that is not the point, and have enough respect for me not to make my blog your personal soapbox. The point is that shocking people only for shock value's sake doesn't get you anywhere. I am automatically inclined not to take your cause seriously. Playing on a person's primal emotions (fear, disgust) to prove your point is cheap, and will only win over the weak of mind (i.e. mr. freshman says with a thoughtful expression: Why, I had no idea how horrible this world of mine is!).
I am at school for a reason. If someone wants to engage me in intellectual discourse about virtually anything I'm going to be game. Particularly if they throw in a cup of coffee or tea : ). I just find having my delicate sensibilities deliberately offended and assaulted in public by these tofu loving degenerates (no offense to those who like tofu, and yes they are delicate) to be a step over the line. There comes a point where you begin to step over that "free speech" line and begin playing "I'm not touching you!" like some idiot six year old child.
These people belong in a special circle of Hell. Right along side of those people that like to compare KFC's "murdering" chickens to the Holocaust.

Well, I just turned in a rather hastily put-together application packet for a ~20k fellowship for next year. I don't know if there is much chance of me actually getting this thing, but wish me luck!
Later the same day:
Boy do I need a nap. As I said, this would really be nice. Where I live the newly elected governor announced a bunch of big budget cuts in state funded higher education. Why raise taxes when you can just force students to pay more? I'm sure I can expect my tuition to go up next year, and for my pay rate (most likely) not to go up.
There will be more for me to apply to. I just hope that I get one of them.

In the year that I have been a member of the vine I have seen a repeated question come up dealing with image editing. Many users (particularly newer users on comicvine) ask for a good way to edit images for submission without having to shell out cash for Photoshop. Anyone out there who is looking for a powerful, free image-editing tool should look at the GIMP (http://www.gimp.org/).
