Hi true believers sorry it been so long scene my last review ,well here it goes ….I like this issue it ‘s one of the few marvel comics I like that has spider-man in it .This Green Goblin is refreshing start on this main stead spider-man villain that even carried over to things new warriors the black September issues with spider-man it , as far as the issue goes it’s well written and drawn with good art work in it . As far I’m concern it well worth having . MachSTTB |

Todd McFarlane Spawn what you can say about it other then it’s one of those pivotal charters like Bat-man or Captain America , Spawn is one of those charters that kick off Ind. comic book movement just like Savage Dragon , Shadow Hawk , and now I see Todd McFarlane is back to his root true believers by doing BATMAN: YEAR TWO: FEAR THE REAPER (http://www.dccomics.com/graphic_novels/?gn=1288)... but my money he known forevre as the man who gave spawn . |
|
Hmm it's been awhile since my last review on any arc so if it seems that this is little off I'm sorry I'm little bit rusty :) ...So here it goes .This is one many important Issue in saga of Captain America trying to pass the touch to someone caring on mantel of being Captain America with no luck , not till Bucky Aka Winter Soldier took over as Cap after his death in civil war (hopefully he stay dead dose not find Lazarus pit oop this is Marvel –U and not D.C. –U ) moving on this one of few Marvel arc that real held me true believers (I’m channeling the sprit of Stan Lee )...... |

52 wow I thought it was the ride , but count down is every bit as good so far. It's going to be a shame when it ends, but like any good ride you can always go back and enjoy it. If this is rout that D.C is going to then I'll be look forward more arch form them. this is going to be as big as Death in Faimly was or Crisis archs and gose to show if you have right writersand team doing this you don't have to have the big names in the story. What I'm going say may not win me friend among the , in this case D.C drop the ball on this and gave DYNAMITE ENTERTAINMENT a freebie , when this was making money for them they could have there D.C.U version of Marvels MAX and it would work to bring some new blood in. As far Mr. Ennis goes he did what he said was going to do that is “out Preacher, Preacher." and that I say "right on."... Now far as the story gose it's prue gold and it's what was need it to jump start DYNAMITE ENTERTAINMENT line up and now it's taking off like skyrocket , so in closing I think this may be wake up call for the big two. In the D.C.U the end! mpact (Impact), was both sad and good it help D.C launch other like WILDSTORM & VERTIGO ect...., but part of me still wish that they do some more with these charters, and make use of them like they did with wild cats by Jim Lee, I think they would make good additions to D.Cs line up ... infact it's my hope that they do something with instead put on shelveand seeing them go to someone else like the Black Terror and Owl just examples of Charters that D.C had and lost . Major Malcolm Wheeler-Nicholson (1890-1968) was American pulp magazine writer and entrepreneur who pioneered the American comic book, publishing the first such periodical consisting solely of original material rather than reprints of newspaper comic strips. His comics company, National Allied Publications, would evolve into DC Comics, one of the world's two largest comic book publishers, though long after its founder had left it.A former U.S. Cavalry officer, Wheeler-Nicholson, by his account, "chased bandits on the Mexican border, fought fevers and played polo in the Philippines, led a battlation of infantry against the Bolsheviki in Siberia, helped straighten out the affairs of the army in France [and] commanded the headquarters cavalry of the American force in the Rhine".[1] In 1924, amid accusations by the major against senior officers, countercharges, hearings, and lawsuit threats, Wheeler-Nicholson left the service. Having already written non-fiction about military topics, he beg Siegel and Shuster submitted some material to comic book publisher Major Malcolm Wheeler-Nicholson, a bizarre figure given to wearing a French officer's cloak and a beaver cap. They also sent the first 13 pages of what would become Superman. Their material ended up in the slush pile. After Wheeler-Nicholson went bankrupt, Donenfeld and Liebowitz snapped up his properties. Deciding they needed another comic, an editor slapped together Action Comics. That included Superman, which was fished out of the heap".[6] Golden Age comics creator Sheldon Mayer on Wheeler-Nicholoson: "Not only the first man to publish comic books but also the first to stiff an artist for his check". The Black Terror, I was at the Planet comic con in Kansas City Ks were ran across this arc, it seem well written and drawn, but I was left with the feeling of reading Punisher MAX witch is fine I like that type reading , but I wish it was more to it then what I saw . but all in all it was not bad read I’ll say it was fine but it was no 52. snooche to the booche mach |

It's my thought that any one who truly collects comics book they should have Black September crossover as well as the rest of Malibu comics ,but as far this goes one of the best "crossover" there is (it's true , true believers ).And as was at Planet comic con in Kansas city Ks they harder and harder to find any were even old ones , so if you still have them don't get rid of them who know you may have real find on your hand and don't even know it, I know I'm trying to get them all. Ever once in while, I see a movie that will cause me to go back and find the whole arc, V for Vendetta is just such a one that make you go read it. As far Alan Moore goes it once of his best arc League of Extraordinary Gentlemen (also very good both movie and read as well) …The charter have depth to them and the story has real meat to it and you can really get into it ,and emote feel for these charters (V, Evey Hammond and Eric Finch ) … In closeing true beleavers this a must for any type comic book collector to have in there collection .
