Gambler started off as a member of thee Assassins Guild. Later he would lead this group to victory over his birth clan, the Thieves Guild. After the war he unified the two factions and led them into the new age of enterprise. They established there own cooperation, Darre Enterprise and would never again return to the old ways. Gambler would later meet a man that would forever change his life. Eric Leinsher was one of the founding fathers of a group named the Vine Villains and offered the Cajun membership. Gambler declined the offer and instead, formed his own team the Outlawz. He would meet and form a close bound with fellow team member Walkingstone. The two would become romantically linked up until a dark secret from Walkingstone's past came back to haunt them both. A demon, who was actually part of Walkingstone's soul would later kill Stone and turn Gambler into pure evil. With the loss of Stone and twisted by Oraix, he joined Magneto and Fourpower in the Vine Villains. Gambler had finally broken the hold Oraix had over him and tried to release Walkingstone as well. But much to his sadness he could not, he made the choice to leave the Vine Villains and once again take up the fight against evil. The Outlawz had become a strong stable team do in large part to there newest member, Last Arrow. Gambler and Arrow became friends right away and together the Outlawz stood strong against the Vine Villains. During a battle against the VV Arrow would lay down his sword and kneel at the feet of Mighty Magneto, Gambler couldnt believe his eyes and flew into a fit on rage. The two one time friends fought a vicious battle which in the end saw Arrow begging for Gambler to release him from his pain. But Arrow didnt die, in fact he grew stronger and more destructive then before. Arrow and Gambler have fought many battles against each other forging one of the greatest rivalries ever seen.

With the death of Fourpower and the disappearance of Magneto, the Vine Villains soon fell upon dark times. Gambler would later find out that Magneto was indeed his father, out of respect and a sense of loyalty Gambler would return to the Vine Villains and grab the rains of leadership. But it wasn't the same VV, to much had changed and to much bad blood still existed, so Gambler left, forming his own group called The Hellfire Club. Only thee Elite, as he put it, would be granted membership and even more be elected to the Council.

Wasting little time Gambler collected the most powerful group of evil he could find, recruiting his long time friend and rival Last Arrow, the deadly and beautiful Lady Tlieso, along with thee original master of evil Red Lamp. Later he would add the likes of Forever and Valkaad to thee Inner Circle, other wise known as the Council.

The Start of AoS.

During thee events of X-Universe Gambler and Lady Mastermind became more then teammates, it would later be revieled that she was indeed pregnant. Mr. Sinister in his made quest for global genetic manipulation captured Lady Mastermind, unaware that she was with child he preformed many experiments on her. Gambler and his team X-Rated, which consisted of Rogue, Sabretooth, Blink, Caliben, and X-23 stormed Sinister's lab and freed Lady Mastermind, but before they could escape Lady Mastermind went into labor. As the child was born the world began to blur and fade, suddenly the team found itself in an alternate future, one in which Mr.Sinister had conquered the world. Gambler and most of his team were dead, all except an elderly Sabretooth and Gambler's child, Sheila LeBeau.

The Defeat of Magneto

After a massive war that waged for years Gambler defeated Magneto using under handed tactics. With the help of Magneto's own daughter, Wanda Maximoff, Gambler was able to cheat death and gain complete control of the VV.

Like Father Like Son

Gambler's father, and one time leader of thee Assassins Guild was seemingly killed during the Guild Wars. As a tribute to his late father, Gambler has adopted his uniform and even his fighting style. Relying more on his hand to hand tactics and less on his kinetic energy.

Gambler vs Last Arrow

The oldest rivalry the Vine has every known. Immediately the two clicked like brothers, forming the Vine's first and greatest hero team, The New Age Outlawz, the two where a major force in freeing the Vine from the sinister clutches of Magneto and his Vine Villains. But time changes everything, the story changes depending on who you ask, but the result is always the same, death.

There wars have toppled kings, destroyed worlds, and split loyalties down the middle. For now, they have put there differences aside and now sit on the Inner Circle of the Hellfire Club. But only time will tell how long this unification will last.

A Hero Once More

After leaving the Hellfire Club, Gambler set out on a path of redemption. Crafting his new costume after that of the Assassins Guild and his father's, he now spends his time training and studying somewhere high in Asiatic Mountains. And emerged a member of the LoS.

Photographic Reflexes

Gambler has many abilities, each finely tuned and mastered. But if asked, he'll not hesitate to credit his Agility, and his Photographic Reflexes as his best. No one knows how he does it, but after simply watching a move, Gambler has thee ability to copy and mimic that move to a tie. After years of combat, he has added some of the Vines best fighters to his arsenal.

Agility

Gambler's agility and acrobatic prowess are second to none. His reflexes and timing have been carefully and methodically sharpened from birth. Able to dodge bullets with little to no effort, even Gambler admits his agility is his greatest weapon.

The KoV Tournament & Operation: Black Dawn

The King of the Vine Tournament saw the gathering of the greatest fighters and killers the world had ever known. Many lost there lives, while others where simply defeated. The final battle was a huge, every man for themselves fight to the death. A winner would be crowned, but not before brother fought brother, and blood had covered the Colosseum floor.

It was here Gambler first laid eyes on the Exoskeleton wore by Akira Overdrive. Akira was a great fighter in his own right, but sought amplified his natural abilities to new heights. Seemingly killed by the young assassin, Gambler's body disappeared.

Black Dawn

Believed dead, Gambler was free to track down every single scientist who had been employed by the young Akira. Waiting, watching, he gathered all thee information they had acquired as it pertained to the Raiden Armour. Blue Prints, back up files, Micro Discs and Computer chips where all stolen by the master thief, and handed over to the legendary and brilliant mastermind, Buckshot.

With a state of thee art facility and unlimited resources, thanks to the great wealth Gambler had obtained, during his leadership of the Hellfire Club, Buckshot was able to create a costumized version of the Exoskeleton. Calling the new suit, Black Dawn.

In a life threatening procedure, Gambler had Black Dawn grafted to his body. The operation was painstaking and required hours of surgery. It took weeks to recover from the procedure and extensive rehabilitation was required. With the Black Dawn Exoskeleton now a permanent part of his body, the greatest assassin the Vine has ever known, just became more dangerous.

Powers & Abilities

The Black Dawn Exoskeleton is completely void of any metallic substances. It is fused into Gambler's nervous system, ultimately creating an on board In Fight computer. His ability to mimic any fighting style he sees, is now loaded into the computer. It automatically defends and adjusts to any style previously copied. It also amplifies what powers he already had. This includes his dormant ability to alter reality. Though nowhere near as strong as his sister Wanda Maximoff's, he does have the ability to change or predetermine the outcome of certain situations.

S.S.K.P

S.S.K.P stands for "Single Shot Kill Probability" Gambler now has thee ability to either, A. Pin point the weakest part on a structure and or human body, or B. Locate the the part of an enemy most likely to result in a kill.

Illusion Casting

Black Dawn is equipped with a state of thee art projection lens. It is capable of producing life like illusions which Gambler has honed to perfection.

Tactics & Field Operations

Black Dawn is capable of hacking even the most secure satellite and computer systems. Because of this, it can instantly download enemy locations, maps and field commands, listen in on enemy frequencies, and hijack missile systems.

Stealth Technology

Black Dawn utilizes the same stealth technology as its original predecessor with one slight variation. Its state of thee art illusion casting and stealth program, run together with radar cross section reductions, and thermal heat manipulators. This renders Gambler invisible to all forms of radar as well as the human eye.

Integrated Martial Arts Forms

Yung Huo Jen:(外字) Yung Huo Jen is one of the ultimate sword martial arts. Combining deadly speed with amazing acrobatic skills, it is capable of taking down most human opponents in a matter of seconds. Its only possible weakness is against multiple attackers.

Lei Feng Do:(日本漢字能力検定試験) This form provides good defenses against multiple attackers in addition to good offensive capabilities.

Chiang Di Chuang:(形声文字) This forms focusing on attacking the weakest parts of an enemies body. With pin point accuracy, one can cripple an opponent in seconds.

Doors

The most fascinating aspect of the Black Dawn Exoskeleton, is its ability to create small size portals in which a person can travel over a shorten distance. With merely a thought Gambler can open a portal, anywhere with in a one foot radius. It is however limited to short distances and cannot travel through solid objects.

Gambler vs Akira - Birth of a Rivalry

Betrayed

It was a day in which legends where made, and killed. The League of Shadows vs the Justice League. Both teams would forever be changed but no one more then Superman. Sacrificing himself for the greater good of his team, Last Arrow emotional crippled the Man of Steel when he took the life of his true love, Lois Lane.

It was after this magnificent battle that Gambler up and left the LoS. With the feeling of betrayal fresh on his mind, Dormath attacked the former leader. During the fight, Gambler's Black Dawn exoskeleton was damaged. Literally stripped from his body by Dormaths' radiation blasts, the ruthless assassin was defeated.

One for the Ages

In an epic showdown the likes of which have never been seen, the Living Weapon Morte Rapida, and the Crafty Cajun Gambler, met in the streets of New Orleans and engaged in a confrontation that left the still rebuilding city in ruins. Both men displayed the type of skill and ability most only dream of. In the end Morte sacrificed him for the lives of others. A true hero in a world with so few, Gambler couldn't help but respect the assassin. A rivalry was born that day, one that may live on even after both men are dead.

During his time as the Hellfire King, Gambler's eye caught a glimpse of the most beautiful woman he had ever seen. After courting her for several months the usually brash and confident Cajun asked her to be his bride.  Esther Cotillard, or BatgirlBabs as she was more commonly known, happily accepted. The union also helped solidify  the  Les Assassins Silencieux de Noir, and the Nawlins based Assassin Guild into one deadly and lethel organization. As the King and Queen of Spades the deadly duo took the Hellfire Club to new heights. Even going so far as taking over the world and igniting the Earth changing event known as the Civil War. Secretly however, the pair was actually using HFC resources to help found their underground group of Assassins known as the Fraternity. Unable to trust certain high ranking members of the HFC, BatgirlBabs and the Cajun disbanded the group, ushering in a new era.

Generation Next

Soon after their marriage the lovely assassin gave birth to the couples first child. Hiding away from the HFC and the rest of the world, the boy was raised in the deep swamps of New Orleans alongside Gambler's Guild. After reaching the age of twelve the young boy fearlessly led a group of HFC members into Hell in hopes of rescuing his father. He had entered a boy, but emerged a teenager. Now Florian leads his own group of Assassins under the watchful tutelage of his parents.
