Cable #3: War Baby, Chapter Three
A spin-off title from Messiah Complex, Cable is a fresh new comic with artist Ariel Olivetti (yes that guy from The Punisher War Journal) that shows were Cable ended up. Hes not an ordinary Bad-as. Hes a bad-as with a baby. Cable takes you through a time traveling action adventure. Sounds like a bad movie? Thats because it is -in comic form. Accept its not that bad. Some how its pulled off in a way that kinda makes you forget about it. If you havent followed Messiah Complex this comic will be a bit of spoiler.(well issue 2 is anyways) So now Ill take you on what happens here. Bishop, wanting to have the baby Cable is carrying killed because he belives the future he followed Cable to can be avoided with the baby dead. Stay with me cause' you know that a b*tch time travel can be. So Cable ends up in a flooded New Jersey in the year 2043. Bishop follows him there. Then well...he throws a truck at him. Cable pinned down by highway men with happy trigger fingers, tries to time jump a day back, before realizing his time mechanism is broken. Nothing much happens besides Bishop being captured and Cable escaping and having a chat with a waitress who tells him about there Government is like in her time. Bishop (surprise, surprise) escapes and kills the men holding him. A man comes through the door where the waitress (Sophie) lives. Im not gonna lie, Im pretty unfamiliar with who this guy is. All in all the comic is descent to say the least. Oh and theres fun little preview to Eternals in the back. Yeah, I dont know what thats about either.
Moon Knight #18: God and Country, Chapter Five
What can I say? Old friends, old enemys and a new point on insanity for Moon Knight. For newbies who want to jump on board to the Moon Knight series this isnt the greatest issue to do so. Then again with all the things happening in Moon Knight what issue is? Try issue 1! (Comedic drum roll) If your already a Moon Knight fan this is a great read so pick it up! So on with the review....Iron Man and group of S.H.I.E.L.D. agent bust into Marc Spector's place to have a discussion on his behavior recently. Stark decides to suspend his registration card and wants to find out who gave him his registration card in the frist place. All the while Carson Knowles (aka Black Spector) gathers his arsenal. While having a argument with yet another personality in his head he is attacked by Black Spector who left him bloody and battered. Spector then contacted Crawley. He asked him for pills but Crawley refused to give him them(and slapped him a few times) he convinced Spector to not give in and to stand and fight. Marc then went into his closet which had a secret door that led to a room with a spare Moon Knight costume and his weapons.
