My Turn.
Plot
Spidey-Ock ditches Migues and goes to find Anna Maria.Miguel understands, that something's off and says "This is something the real Spider-Man would never do!" which is an odd statement to shout out loud.....
Anyways,Spider-Ock is headed to "somewhere" to save Anna and realises he has no allies left,a destroyed city,a lot of people dead, probably, and general chaos as a status....He comes to the conclussion that he failed. Then Menace arrives and tells him to follow her, into the subway. He does so,and he sees that the Goblin has a little girl(the kid he saved back in SSM#8) tied up,and ready to be squashed by a train. He hesitates saving her, cause he thinks that if he doesn't survive this, nobody will save Anna. Then he hears a loud "JUMP!" from Ghost Pete, and he goes and saves the kid.Peter then tells him that he's ready to fight for his body, but Otto say that he won't fight. He will volunteerly give the body back. They go to the lab where Otto erases all of his memories from Peter's mind, and now Peter's in charge of his body again, and ready to stop the Goblin.
Thoughts
For a second consecutive issue,we get excellent writing.Why?....cause Mr.Gage knows how to write!
Slott's plot is very good, and Gage writes 2000s dialog and not 60s.I'd totally see this happening in Amazing Spider-Man too....no problem.
Issue's really great, with the Peter return and all,but i am not known for praising,am i?...so...
The main gripe is that, the whole issue is like an hour of events....maybe less.
They could have included more,in a 21 page issue. But anyway.
No subplots in this one,and i can totally understand that, because Peter's back, and that's so important,so it can't be overshadowed by Mary Jane arguing with Peter's voice-mail,or Sajani bitching on Parker not being there.
We get away from Ock,one time, and that's a really crucial one.We cut to Liz's office(can't believe this gal were Flash's girlfriend,a cheerleader and Harry's wife,not-so-long ago....jeez) and she's interrupted by her son,Normie. She quickly rusjes him out of the office, and closes the door, and we see that she's holding a Green Goblin mask, behind her back.........
It's really lame if she's the Goblin,by the way.I'm waiting for my Norman since issue #3 ,and that will absolutelly tick me off.
When Ock is ranted by Peter,he says to him some preety neat stuff about him(Peter) that i found great. They go to Parker industries, and i love the momment where Pete compeletelly freaks out that there is a building that says "Parker Ind" on it! ...
And of cource the epicness of Peter putting the costume back on,and practically saying "Bring it on" is handeled in an excellent way.
The art is gorgeous.Camo is a genious, and he draws a super-Spider-Man,since Superior started.
And a side note.
It took Ock 31 days and 3 issues to deal with the Goblins and accomplish nothing, and it will, apparently, take Peter one issue to deal with the whole Goblin Nation,succesfully..... (heh)
