Character » Ms. Marvel appears in 2012 issues.

After encountering the Kree hero Captain Marvel, Carol Danvers was accidentally subjected to otherworldly radiation that transformed her into a superhuman warrior. Calling herself Ms. Marvel, she established herself as one of Marvel's most powerful and prominent heroes both as a solo heroine and as a member of the Avengers.

Yeah, Moonstone is an interest character but she's too unstable imo. I like Carol a lot better as Ms. Marvel.

Karla soften is a bad girl. A witty one and an intersting character, but I don't empathize with her.
Carol Danvers is sexy as hell, and she's on the good side, but I didn't stand her supporting Tony, that I hate with a passion, so a Friend of my ennemy is an ennemy to me...
Real tough choice...I will say Karla.

She reminds me of Harley Quinn.It's weird because I love Harley but i'm just starting to like Karla and Karla has been around for quite some time.

I've never read Harley... She seemed far too dependent to be taken seriously.

I prefer Carol to Karla. I think she's more personable, and more relatable. She's an example that even the strongest of heroes can go through rough times. Somebody made a comment about supporting Tony, well, you may have forgotten that it was Tony that helped Carol get over her alcohol addiction, and get her life back together. He was the backbone and support Carol needed, so she's just returning the favor. She'd definitely make a better role model than Karla.

Some people actually do aspire to be somebody like Karla. There are many people out there who look up to figures like that. Not really sure why.

If intelligence is her only quality (albeit a good quality nontheless), that's not saying a whole lot about her as a person. Manipulative people tend to not be very popular, except among evil dictators. So then why is she playing for the good guys? Nothing against Karla; she's an interesting character, and makes for some good plots. But, considering her nature she has no place as Ms Marvel, and playing a "hero" character. It's sort of a "Hancock syndrome": "I'm gonna save you whether you like it or not, and you are going to worship the ground I walk on." Last time I checked a hero isn't supposed to be in it just for themselves. Carol helps people because she cares. She's literally gone to Hell and back to resolve a conflict. Karla does it for the fame, money, and power.

Venom is spiderman, Bullseye is Hawkeye, it's all temporary, but that's the current major story arc.

Peter Parker is the real Spidey, Venom is just Venom. Clint Barton is the real Hawkeye, Bullseye is an imposter. You ask anybody who's behind Spidey's mask, and they'll say Pete. That's the person they identify with as the real idenitity behind the hero, not the imposter. Venom is his own character, and so is Bullseye, and Moonstone is no different. You don't see Bruce Wayne parading around in a Superman outfit claiming to be Superman, when we know that the real Superman is Clark Kent. Same applies to anybody else. Carol has always been the real Ms Marvel, not Karla. Hell, even Sharon Ventura is considered an imposter next to Carol.

it's Dark Reign though, i know who each character really is at their core, but this is Norman's avengers as he is in control. I think i understand that you don't like Karla masquerading as Carol, but idk what more there is to say about it. There will be a "War of the Marvels" though where you may get to see Karla Vs. Carol for Ms. Danvers to retain her title.

Yeah, I think whole Dark Reign thing is almost committing high treason among us traditionalists. It certainly shakes the roots a bit, but I'm not really impressed with what they did with the characters. Call me old fashioned  lol

Personally, i never cared for Carol, so i'm more than Thrilled that Karla has taken over her book, even if it's only temporary, but i'm enjoying the arc so far.

from what i've read of Carol, she's done some rather insensitive things, Karla on the other hand, is a villain, so there's nothing she could do to surprise me. She had a hand in killing songbirds mom.

so she went through a period where she wasn't herself. people go through changes, and it's been know for people to become delusional and lose touch with who they really are for quite some time. no doubt the bit with Rogue messed her up big time. when you lose emotional attachment to things, your better judgement is affected, and you start to think more with your brain and less with your heart. you start to make decisions that make mathematical sense and strategic sense, but are considered immoral (ex: mass genocide to thin out the human over-population. it would work, no doubt, but it's definitely immoral). you really have Rogue to thank for that. well, Rogue did sort of go a little crazy when she absorbed Carol's memories. those are just some things people don't want to ever experience.

Same here, well i guess I'm judging a lil to quick since i haven't seen much of Moonstone as Ms. Marvel (mainly in Dark Avengers), but what I have seen of Moonstone as Ms. Marvel i think I'd rather Carol stick around... I plan on picking up issue #40...

I only read Civil War Ms. Marvel and the last arc before Karla took over, she wasn't appealing to me.

I've been a fan of Carol since the character was introduced.  She's smart, funny, totally bad-assed and a self-professed "Geek".  And she's totally hot.  She is one of my favorite female characters of all time and I'm chewing my fingers until she comes back.
