A Short Review For a Major Mess

A new wrench has been thrown into this faltering machine that is, "War of the Marvels", and while writer, Brian Reed, gives readers plenty of gratuitous action, I find there are still major problems with this storyline, this chapter in particular. For one thing, we have another new artist, possibly the best of the three (four? five??), but it does tend to distribute the flow of a multi-part  story. Also, the hard work other writers have put into the characterization of Karla Sofen (the supposed new Ms. Marvel) is thrown out the window when the former Moonstone begins throwing NYC citizens miles above the city in an attempt to distract the real (?) Ms. Marvel. Sofen went from manipulative psycho therapist, to supervillain, to reformed supervillain with a series edge, back to psycho again?! Wait, huh? Next issue concludes this massive mess and hopefully Sofen will be out and Danvers will be back in, in one piece, and completely realizing she wants to be a heroine now more than ever. What's more, no one is more deserving of it than she.
