How would you want Majestic to be used as a character?

As the singular resident Heavy hitter of Wildstorm, he doesn't really have many peers.  Right now he pops in and out of various comics as a force of his own.  We just recently learned from a casual conversation that reset the Earth's axis!

Being clearly most powerful hero of his world, his use is important for consistency.  I like how he's used now.  He comes in wrecks the Wildcats and has his own agenda.  I'd like him to have his own series too but that might diminish his role as the uber hero of Wildstorm.  Right now he's set above everyone else.

For heavy hitters there are only so many ways to use them.

1. Set them into space and let them deal with threats their own level.  (Surfer)
2. Put them everywhere and damn power level inconsistencies. (Superman)
3. Give them the role of Deux Ex Machina for other comics (Strange)
4. Jobber (Martian Manhunter)

I really want him to have his own series but there are just so many pitfalls for such powerful characters.  Sentry just doesn't make sense a lot of the time.  Superman will dominate everyone one minute but struggle against much lesser threats at other times.  Surfer and Thor when at their full potential don't even associate with anyone from Earth.

Honestly I like him the way he is.

I wouldn't say he's "clearly the most powerful", but I get what you're saying. He seems a little out of place especially after World's End when some of the other powerful characters have been taken out or depowered somewhat. I think he's good as a background player in the WSU, a possible pawn of Tao's, and a problem for the Wildcats. Depending on how things go, he could be a problem for Stormwatch as well. I don't think he should leave Earth. I think having him run his own country but occasionally show up elsewhere is good. He gets to be on his own and only be used where he's needed and can be done right, not as a throwaway. And leaving him in Hawaii allows him to be forgotten a little bit and come back later instead of just being dealt with and done. And I like that he's not totally evil, but not really good either. He's more interesting as a problem than a straight up enemy.

well I mean, a mustache does seem more evil...you know, all those porn stars have them, it just gives out a vibe...it is hard for me to imagine Majestic as a hero though, not when I've seen him with that that furry critter

I still believe in Majestic!

The battle with the Wildcats continues into the next issue so Nemesis' stab wound won't end the fight it this issue.  I'm really curious how this ends.  There isn't even a status quo to go back to.

I don't even really consider him a bad guy despite how the WIldcats paint him.  I actually like Majestic with a beart just not how this artist draws him with one.  Beard or not, Majestic should still be a pretty boy.

Hah, Majestic is a badass. I knew he wouldn't die but I didn't think he'd take it SO well. Haha! And next issue... That looks like a REAL battle.

Do you guys think what he is doing is evil or not

#27 Posted by Buckshot (18915 posts) - - Show Bio

Not evil really, but not good. He's taking care of people, but he's killing people for what seems like any crime and held his daughter hostage. I think he's getting there though because he's talked about taking away people's choices and devices to erase personality. I'm hoping that maybe the shock of what Nemesis did to him last issue and maybe the upcoming fight might shake off whatever Tao did to his head.

I think he doing what is good for humility. He is trying to turn human into the new Kherubim. Don't forget that Mr Majestic is man of honor. He is ashame of the corruption that is going on in his home world(Khera).

#29 Edited by MisterGuyMan (2044 posts) - - Show Bio

Majestic took all that without breaking a sweat in that last issue.  I knew he healed quickly... but wow.

SPOILERS

I don't really consider his actions evil.  He's a ruler and he's been a really good one.  Compared to any other institution, Hawaii is run smoothly.  Majestic simply can't be everywhere.  He states as much in the first few issues.  Kidnapping your daughter for her eggs sounds horrible but Armageddon has a way to warping one's morality.  Everyone else in the world is probably raping, pillaging and stealing from everyone.  I read a lot of post apocalyptic stories and when the fit hits the shan, you just need to do what needs to get done.  Majestic needs some Kherans to keep the peace and there's really one place to get them...

Black Adam vs Majestic has always been a dream fight of mines

With the recent WS news, I'm scared that Majestic will turn into another alternate reality Superman.  He always was of course but that never defined him as a character.
