Major Story Arcs

The Matrix

Morpheus was part of the human resistance, a group of rebellious humans who escaped from the Matrix and decided to free humanity from the virtual reality. He searched for years for the prophesied "One." The being who was told would end the war between humans and machines, in humanity's favor.

When Morpheus found Neo, he wasn't skeptical at all-he was enthusiastic. Albeit too enthusiastic, as Morpheus revealed to Neo the truth too soon-that his entire life was a life, he lived in a prison "that he can neither see nor touch, a prison for his mind"- The Matrix.

Neo found this out by taking the blue pill, which freed him the virtual reality prison. When Neo awoke, he had plugs in his body and was suspended in liquid. Morpheus located Neo's inert body with his ship, the Neberkenezer.

Once recovered, Morpheus had to rebuild Neo's atrophied muscles(since Neo has never used his eyes or any other muscle in his body).

Powers and Abilities

Morpheus is an excellent hand-to-hand combatant, often compared to Neo. He is also an adept marksman and weapons expert. Although he is not powerful enough to take down Agents.
