    So my question is this. Is there an outside of comic story of Morgan Le Fay that I just don't know? Marvel and DC both have her (basically) so I'm guessing there is a back story.....Can anyone fill me in?

    In Arthurian legend she is King Arthur's half sister who wished to destroy Arthur and Camelot. There's much more to it but those're the basics.

    @joshmightbe: In Arthurian Legend. Though in Marvel it was Morgan's sister who was Mordred's mother so Morgan was his aunt.

    hmmm morgan is featured in alot of athurian legend as well as some celtic mythology too.

    She is an Arthurian character,
     
    It's different in varying versions, sometimes Morguasse (Morgans sister) is the one Arthur lays with and fathers Mordred,  sometimes its Morgan
     
    Morgan La Faye is rarely a powerful sorceress like in comics, she usually just has some limited trickery
