"Interest arouse among comic book readers"
Freudian slip G-man? :P
Volume »
I'm seriously giddy at the prospect of reading this. I haven't liked a Moon Knight series since Down South ended in 2009 and 5 years is a long time to wait when it comes to your favourite character.
A little disappointed that I had to skip on this because I bought a lovely statue today (Bombshell!). I'll have to wait for the trade or the next arc.
@jonny_anonymous: I want to get this, but before I do, can you give me a brief PREVIEW look on what Moon knight is like? :)
I'll do you one better, I'll link you to this thread (Official All New Moon Knight Thread) that has all the interviews, art and speculation about Moon Knight and the new book :)

Thanks. But I was referring to the character itself, I've heard he is kinda insane :P
Well I wouldn't say he's insane although Bendis actually went and did that, but before that he was just just unstable, like breaking legs and pealing peoples faces off unstable.

That sounds f*cking gruesome.
and AWESOME!
Well I'm on board!
He's also the chosen avatar of an Egyptian moon god of revenge
Moon knight is one of my favorite characters of all time, they need to keep this series alive for a long long time.
@thecheesestabber: holly crap your back.
What an awesome issue. Let's hope that this creative team stays around for a long time.
damn right
I love the way Ellis explained Moon Knight for us new Moon Knight readers.
I got this because of this review, its now on my pullist.
Great first issue. It definitely has the feel of an epic Ellis story. Add Shalvey's art and Bellaire's colors and it's a perfect creative team.

Amazing.
...kinda like this first issue. Seriously, I have absolutely no knowledge of this character, but he looked neat, and I figured it was about time I read something by Ellis, all things considered. Was NOT disappointed. This may be my favorite first issue of any Marvel book I've read -- definitely of the Marvel NOW/ANMN titles I've read.
@zodac: He's a great character. This issue does a great job of showing his weirdness, coolness and flaws all at the same time.
Just finished reading Moon Knight for the first time ever. Wow he is such an interesting and fascinating character!
@humanrocket: I've been back..
@thewrathoflucille: every single penny
This book is amazing! This creative team is already capturing everything I like about Moon Knight. I especially enjoy how the whole mental illness thing is made even more ambiguous by certain testimonies. Is a dude with a moon god in his head still just a crazy dude? Who knows. I'm really curious to see if Spector stops using his existing civilian identities and splits the four aspects of Khonshu into four different costumed Moon Knights. One issue and it's already skyrocketing to the top of my pile. Can't wait for more of this.
Is this really a 5 star issue? If so I'm picking it up
Quick question, is this a monthly or bi-monthly series?
Long time Moon Knight fan - love the crazy apsect of him. I really enjoyed Bendis run and was bummed when it ended. It'll be tough to (in my opinion) top it, but Ellis looks like he's on an interesting take.
I'm not sure I like the idea of him not actually being crazy, but having some kind of brain damage due to the god actually inhabiting his brain. I like that he's actually a crazy freaking guy who goes around doing all this stuff. It's a new take on an old character, I get it, I'm just saying I hope they mess with it to the point where he's a different character, if that makes sense. Plus, the super-detective angle is interesting...although we come awfully close to the Batman clone thing with it.
Either way, this is at the top of my buy list. Good first issue, well worth the money, will be buying the next.
Amazing! I was kind of looking forward to a Daredevil and Moon Knight team-up over on the west coast, but I am glad he's back in New York.
I would prefer they back away from trying to redefine something as huge as Moon Knight having multiple personality disorder. It's not something that needs to change and the fact Marc is crazy was always my favorite part of him.
The art and writing were super good. This book needs to make it past 12 issues.
@g_man what is your favorite moon knight story? I haven't read any moon knight before this issue and was wondering what are some of moon knight's best stories.
I'm really glad I took a risk in picking this up. First Marvel book I'm interested in reading and I loved it. Story was great and the Art was beautiful! :D
Although I've never read Moon Knight before, this issue hits Marvel Unlimited in about a month (Sep 1st) and based on the reviews I am excited to read it.
