What team would you put Moon Knight in?

#1 Posted by Danial79 (2325 posts) - - Show Bio

Solo books of B-list characters rarely do well, so which team would you put around Moon Knight to get him out there. In the past, he's been in The Defenders, West Coast Avengers, Marvel Knights, Secret Avengers, and Heroes for Hire. Would you revamp one of those or just create a completely new team? Who would be on it by MK's side?

#2 Posted by CyberWarrior (1598 posts) - - Show Bio

Marvel Knights perhaps. Keep the name, but make a new crew for the team like they made with the Thunderbolts. Who should be there... Moon Knight (of course!), Spider-man (this guy is a gold nugget!), Ghost Rider (why not?), Punisher (not sure on this one...). Come on! Give us an idea!

Make something with Daredevil, Spider-man, Moon Knight, and The Punisher. Could be cool. Matt and Peter would constantly be tripping on Frank for his brutal tactics while Moon Knight is trying not to slip into the ways of The Punisher.

Yeah, DD looks like a good idea.

I liked him in Secret Avengers actually, I thought it fit his role very well. He did do covert ops for the CIA before, and was a mercenary, and the whole night aspect of the character was suitable.

What was the cast of that team? Moon Knight, Captain Amepica, War Machine...

Yeah, that was a great series... until Remender decided to take him off the team :(

I would give him a young girl to balance him out against, like Spider-Girl (formerly Arana). This way it might be akin to how Wolverine had Kitty Pryde, and the Jubilee to offset his vicious nature- and Batman had Robin to offset his darkness.. I think this is what the character really needs, a powered sidekick who has a bit of attitude but is still green.

Think he left after the first arc, and Shang-Chi joined at some point though...

Every time Punisher has shown up in a Moon Knight series, they've had a great chemistry, so I'd definitely like to see them on a team together.

Marvel Knights was a good team (Black Widow, Daredevil, Dagger, Punisher, Shang-Chi, Cloak, and Moon Knight), but I think the execution was pretty average. If I remember correctly, Moon Knight was only brought in because he had money.

That first arc of Secret Avengers was amazing. As was Warren Ellis'. I lost interest quickly after that though.

The Thunderbolts would be cool. He'd have to wear all read and it would fit his ex military style.

Why can't they just bring back Midnight Sons and put Moony on that team? he's a supernatural based hero anyway, so why not?

The supernatureal aspect of the character is one of my favoutites, but still, are the Midnight Sons popular enough to pull MK out of nowhere?
