Surprise surprise, Vengeance Of The Moon Knight #1 has sold out. I gave it an early review HERE (in which it earned a 5 out of 5). Being a big Moon Knight fan, I was overjoyed to see the new comic to return the character to what he should be. I have to admit that Moon Knight's adventures south of the border seemed to be lacking something. Now he's back in New York and is looking to stir things up with Norman Osborn.
As is sometimes the case, even though the issue has sold out at Diamond, you might still be able to find a copy at your local comic shop (although my local store sold out shortly after they opened. The good news is a new printing is on the way with a David Finch sketch variant cover. Talk about sweet. It will be on sale on October 28, 2009. I would suggest you talk to your local comic shop and see if you can reserve a copy.
Moon Knight
Character » Moon Knight appears in 1414 issues.
Moon Knight, Marc Spector, Steven Grant, and Jake Lockley: four different aspects of the same man who was resurrected by Khonshu (the Egyptian Lunar-God of Vengeance and Justice) to serve as his "avatar." Those unjust mortals who prey upon the innocents traveling at night, with powers that come from the moon, beware the Vengeance of the Moon Knight!
Vengeance Of The Moon Knight #1 Sells Out
Yeah, cuz it was damn good and made up for a year of Mike Benson screwing over Moon Knight. Gotta say, as an avid MK fan I was excepting this to really not be that good. I was actually upset with Marvel for allowing Benson to destroy Moon Knight. But this, this was amazing. A great new start for a character that was so close to being placed back on the z-list. It's a far stretch from Doug Moench's original stuff but it's not a bad one. I'll definitely be checking the 2nd issue.
Make mine Moon Knight! Bearded Justice could not be more pleased with this new series! I am eagerly awaiting a Moon Knight movie, or show, or game, or whatever... JUST MAKE IT MOON KNIGHT!!! I don't know what it is about him, but I must have everthing with Moon Knight on it. My collection is nearing completion, as I'm only missing a few of his older issues.
Haven't picked this up yet but I've got it on order. Glad it's getting good reviews. Hope they stick with the format because Moon Knight stuff has been hit and miss for too long. Now that he's back on form lets hope Marvel keep it that way. This is one character that deserves more recognition.
Hard to get too excited about this news. I never knew much about Moon Knight to begin with. It's still cool that his return has gone so well. That is a really cool cover image.
I loved it. I'm thinking out picking up the Moon Knight Essentials (vol 1 and 2). I hear the older stuff.
I thought about getting this issue, but the actual story didnt even look that long and the extra comic in the back didnt look that good either so I passed...
But maybe i'll get it later?
Was it really that good, and worth the price?
