Can I start off by saying that I've always liked Moon Knight.  There's just something about him that has always attracted me.  Maybe it was that he wasn't one of the 'top tier' heroes in the Marvel Universe back in the 80s.  He was, and still is, an underdog.  Despite all that he does, it seems that he doesn't get the full recognition that he should get.  How many times have we heard "Moon Knight is just a Batman clone."  I've never seen it.  The only thing I could really see is that one of Moon Knight's personas was a billionaire.

Moon Knight recently took some time off.  After a run in with Norman Osborn and the Dark Avengers, "Marc Spector" died and Moon Knight ended up south of the border.  How long can Moon Knight stay away?  Now we have Moon Knight back in New York.  Is this the same Moon Knight that we've seen before?

Once again, by pestering my wonderful contact at Marvel, I was able to get an early look at the new issue which is on sale tomorrow.

How many of you like Moon Knight?  He's not your traditional hero.  He does things his own way.  Let's not forget the fact that he was a mercenary before he became a "hero."  We've seen Moon Knight get really dark and edgy.  Now that he's back, the question is, which Moon Knight will this be?  Is he going to be the regular hero or is he going to start breaking bones and carving up people's foreheads?

I was blown away with this issue.  Part of it was just the excitement over seeing Moon Knight return to New York, where he belongs.  He's showing that he's on a mission and the bad guys (and Norman Osborn) better watch out.  Gregg Hurwitz has done a great job in this one issue of returning Moon Knight to what he should be.  In his last series, things started going downhill.  Jerome Opena's art is nice to look at as well.  He's given Moon Knight a new look to go with his new attitude.  You might not agree with my review but let me know what you think after you read the issue.

Sweet. I'm glad to hear that you thought this issue was good, G-Man. I'm really hoping that it's not a letdown, so I think I'm gonna read this one.

Gooo Moon Knight!, I would be one happy camper if he actually took out Norman Osborn, then maybe people would start to take notice of how awesome he actually is.

Moonknight is so much more of a complex, dark and edgy character than Batman. I am hoping this brings him out more into the spotlight, I am hoping that he is the one to throw Norman's plans into chaos. I am so excited about this, he is one of my favorite Marvel characters, the last series was great.

Recently bought some comics and received a free issue that talked about the history of Moon Knight. That was great and this new series sounds exciting as well!

Thanks!  I really appreciate it.  It might not seem like it but there's a bit of 'production time' that goes into these vids.  I enjoy doing them and it's a bonus that you guys dig them.

Ha!  Total on the spot ad lib, I must admit.  That's the good (but sometimes bad) thing of not having a 'script.'  I just tell it like it is, straight from the heart.

I'm a big Moon Knight fan as well. So for me it's always nice to see him come back. Just wish he was more mainstream like say like Spider-Man. He's an underrated character that sometimes isn't handle properly which I think is why he isn't one of the A listers.

I too think that Batman and Moon Knight are completly different in comparison. One has multiple personalities the other doesn't. One is an ex-merc that kills sometimes the other doesn't.

I completely agree with you G-Man.  Moon Knight is one of the most underrated characters in the Marvel world.  I was so stoked when he came back....and then went away.  I really want to keep up with this new installment.  Hopefully they can breathe in some new life to him and get him a great series like he deserves!

@G-Man: I think that if you are going to talk to people you shouldn't have a script. Scripts are for when you are telling a story. You are doing reviews. For reviews it's better to just make bullet points to hit, and just let your words flow.

I am with you on Moon Knight.  Way back in 1980 or 1981 i picked up Moon Knight 8 and i was hooked !! BS's art blew me away back then. But once he became part of the West Coast Avengers and poped up with other heros i lost interest. He is best solo. And i didn't really care for allot of the following series. Execpt the short lived Fist of Konsheu (however thats spelled).
I am crossing my fingers big time that this is a good book.

It is obvious you are passionate about this character.  Moon Knight is one of the more unique and truly street characters around.  His costume is bad ass and I like that he's a few cards short of  a full deck.  Makes him truly dangerous for anyone that gets in his way.  Love Batman but Moon Knight is more street.
