Just wondering what everyone thinks of Moon Knight's portrayal in his other titles?

  • I've really liked MK in Secret Avengers, but in the latest issue (#16) he just felt... off.
  • Then there's Heroes For Hire, in which I found MK's appearances to be pretty boring to be honest.

I haven't read any of his other appearances, so I can't comment on those, but what do you guys think?

NOTE: This year he has made appearances in:

  • Avengers
  • Captain America: Hail Hydra
  • Daken
  • Deadpool
  • Klaws Of The Panther
  • Onslaught Unleashed
  • Taskmaster

I liked Moon Knight's appearance in Secret Avengers because it brought him back to his mercenary days, especially when he disguised himself as one of the Shadow Council guardsmen in the Eyes of Dragon arc because it showed he assumed a new identity as a thug althought I could be over analyzing.

He was decent in Onslaught Unleashed showing his mercenary side again.

With Heroes for Hire, I was also not impressed with his portrayal. He seemed too generic. I have been very disappointed in HOH actually.

The last guest appearance of Moon Knight I read was in one of the Hulk comics when they were fighting a pack of Wendigo in Vegas and I kind of chuckled when Sentry and Moonie talked about counselors.

Overall, I like that Moon Knight is slowly being incorporated into the Marvel Universe slowly even if some of portrayals are boring. Moonie just needs exposure.

That was actually how I discovered him. I've only been reading comics since last year, and Hulk was the first series I started on. When I saw this Moon Knight guy, I was like, "Hey, he's pretty cool. I should look him up," and then I found the Huston series and the rest is history :)

@Danial79
As much as people complained about Loeb, I liked the dialouge he gave Moon Knight. Maybe it was because Loeb treated Moon Knight like a psychotic Batman.

I got my first dose of Moon Knight by reading about an underrated heroes list page on Amazon and took a risk and bought The Bottom Arc. I just loved every moment in that book and eventually bought the Essentials and follow up trades to Bottom Up to play catch up. I still bring that trade on trips even though I have read it contless times!
