Moon Knight, Marc Spector, Steven Grant, Jake Lockley: four different aspects of the same man, who was resurrected by Khonshu, the Egyptian Lunar-God of Vengeance and Justice, to serve as his "avatar", and perform various acts of vengeance and justice on unjust mortals.
He sucks. How am I a hater when I'm justified in saying he sucks. As I ask everyone who likes Moon Knight...what has he done in the Marvel Universe that had any significance.

He was an Avenger. And that question can be posed to many characters. Ghost Rider, Blade, Cage and Iron Fist, Daredevil, to name a few. None of these characters have done anything significant to the Marvel U.

The whole point of MK is that he doesn't really affect the Marvel Universe. During the Civil war he was told he had to sit out, even though he wanted to anyways.
I love MK because he is compelling emotionally, and his books are interesting. MK's original series, which I have read about 90% of was more based on detective work, solving one case per issue, and it was interesting.
His first new arc, The Bottom, was one of the best stories I've read, it was very interesting because we don't see a lot of the conflict and struggle from the bigger characters.
The fact that he is small in relation to the rest of the universe is exactly why I love the character.

He was told to sit out of Civil War because he's screw up and not valuable to any team.
Emotion? Detective Work? We got Batman and Daredevil.......
I don't like him...He's not a great fighter, his storylines are insginificant, and to me he just an amalgamation of Daredevil,Batman, and the Punisher.3 good characters some how make one bad one.

His struggles make him a unique character. To be a hero or not care, he struggles with light and dark all the time (to be bruttal or act as a hero should), to follow konshu or not, to care about his friends or not, to kill or apprehend, his constant struggle with his sanity. This guy is full of conflict. I love it. There's no other character like this in marvel or dc. He is completely unique.

Has anyone read the new Moon knight yet?....I want to soo bad but there arent any comic stores here in my college town and I dont have a vehicle to go anywhere.
He is seriously my favorite character of all time ...love his character although I would tweak a couple small things....wish they would make him peak human...not superhuman...just peak human
As far as I can remember, he created a new weapon (4 claw like things on the backs of his hands). Beats up some dudes (actually picks one up with one hand using the new weapon an tosses him like a rag doll). The Thunderbolts attack, he runs and leaps over a 7 or 8 foot fence unaided. Fights swordsman first using a chinese weapon (3 sticks connected together) and takes him out in 2 or 3 moves (dodges him with ease and chokes him out). Superb martial arts skill baby. Venom attacks and slashes him pretty bad. MK gets knocked into some canisters which he lures venom into (MK leaps pretty high out of the way), then he detonates the canisters which ends the battle. Swordsman is so messed up he says "what happened, where is he, i think venom was ko'd by the blast. MK gets away, and we see him enter a hidden lair with most of his armors (adimantium one as well) and weapons. He collapses in a pool of blood as the thunderbolts begins thier search for him. I think this demonstrates MK is peak human or better (leaping the fence) takin out swordsman like a punk. Awesome issue. I hope they give mk back his powers.

If you get a chance to buy it then absolutely buy it.
Almost everything about him is unique. His origins, his sturggles, his insanity, his struggles with Konshu, his powers, his death and re-births. I agree that he isn't what he was, but as of last issue (a must read), that seems to be turning around.
"Moon knight rocks. Most unique character ever. He used military cunning to take out venom. sweet."
There is nothing unique about Moon Knight."
Vance why do you bother posting on a thread for people who actually like Moon Knight...I don't go to threads about your favorite LAME-O characters and make fun of them.
"Insanity? No. Origin? Not really. Struglles? No."
Do yu mean his insanity with 3 personalities is not unique, his resurrection at the mercy of the moon god is not unique, and his struggles with everything (especially combined) is not unique?

I'm not making fun of him just stating a fact.Even if it's a respect thread. If I make a lets say Wolverine respect thread and I say Wolverine is the most powerful X-man on the team. It's false so if someone disagrees I'm not going to get mad.Moon Knight is not unique.Look at all his poses and where he is on his covers.Perched on a roof? That was Batman's MO first. What does he use for weapons? Moon Darts? Sounds alot like Batarangs.Oh Moon Knight kills criminals? Oh wasn't the Punisher doing that first?

Not really... conflicting personalities.... Batman, Aurora.... (plus many more). Ressurrection at the mercy of a higher being? Struggles? WTF this is a comic universe!

Sentry has split personalities but people still think he's a Superman rip-off.

It is not a fact....its an opinion Vance....yuo don't seem to know the difference....you think everything you say is a fact....well guess what just because you say it doesnt make it law...I'ts only your opinion and it doesnt matter more than anyone elses so get off your high horse and show some respect to other people...you treat everyone as inferior...
