Moon Knight vs... an ex-girlfriend?!

With Marc Spector's new status quo as the entrepreneur of a television show based on his superhero identity, one can imagine that an ex-girlfriend might not be comfortable with the show including them as well. In issue #8, it looks like that's exactly what's happening with Marc's old flame Marlene.

Moon Knight #8 by Brian Bendis and Alex Maleev is out on Wednesday.

Oh, cannot wait for this month's Moon Knight! I love Maleev's style here, it fits perfect with Spector's personality.

So he's just replaced Frenchie with Buck, Marlene with Echo, and Flint with this guy. You, Bendis, are a creative freakin' genius.

Also, the recap is wrong. Unless I'm not remembering correctly, Marc himself crawled into Khonshu's tomb... he wasn't carried there by Egyptians.

Then there's the fact that he replaced the brilliant move of making Khonshu Marc's inner voice... with the f**king highest selling Avenger characters....

as for the marriage, from what i heard the plans the previous creator had were put off because of shadowland

as for khonshu's voice, thats anyone's opinion, honestly, its just good to see moonie again

So what if it was on his TV show? His TV show isn't his actual origin.

They were still married, however badly it was handled.

I'd like to actually see Moon Knight, not Avenger-Man.

Still, the recap makes it sound like he DIDN'T crawl through seven miles of desert under a pregnant Moon. Kinda ruins his first big insanely awesome feat.

Bendis will leave the book soon enough by killing Moon Knight off or just making him tough to salvage for other writers, please see Sentry and Spider-Woman as examples.
